The countryside in late April as the wet season draws to a close would be so different, tall green grass. Otherwise, it looks similar to central Oz.

When was this section filmed? I was riding my pedal trike through there in October and I think I saw Tesla guys too. Brings back memories.

Hi thanks for the video . I see you are or appear to be wearing full riding gear do you think a trade off between heat and protection from gravel rash is a must. ?
PLANNING TRIKE trip so not quite the risk of an off as two wheels . What distance did you fine to be a comfortable ride ?

We chose full riding gear, the worst of the heat was when you stopped but we didn't think it worth the risk to not wear full rig. Not so keen on gravel rash at 130k.
If we stayed anywhere for a couple of days and were just riding around town then we didn't bother all the time.
The couple we met in this episode did not bother with full rig just long pants and jackets, maybe different for you on a trike.
We found 350 -400k best distance for us in the heat, did a couple over 600k and that was hard !
