Ukraine National Anthem - Bournville Carillon

On Saturday 5 March, Bournville Carillon joined many of the 680 carillons worldwide playing a message of peace and support for the people of Ukraine. This special recital by Trevor Workman included the Ukraine National Anthem which will continue to be played each week through the 2022 recital programme.

Oh... so... wonderful! Thank you so much! 680 carillons worldwide?! Do you know what bells mean to Ukrainians?! The Church bells were the first things the Soviets tore out of our bell towers when they came to power and started the repressions and destruction of the Churches- so this gives me goosebumps! And you played it with such a defiant look, too! You obviously understand the words! As an added "note" I just heard an interview of a famous exorcist say that during the rite, he plays Gregorian chant which the demons absolutely hate- but that he also hates bells! Bells drive him out! So thank you carillon master! You are doing a VERY good work indeed!
