My oldest son wanted to be a chef when he was little. Emeril was having a book signing so I took my son (Tyler was a big fan of his). My son had Cystic Fibrosis and passed when he was 9 (20 years ago) so he was around 8 when we met Emeril. Emeril was so kind and gracious. Spent a ton of time with my son, chatting and taking pictures even though there were many people waiting to get their books signed. Tyler was so excited. Emeril truly left a wonderful impression on all of us. Great to see that his son is following in his footsteps yet creating his own path as well. ❤
This is really cool to see. My dad worked under emeril before all the tv shows at emeril’s in the late 80s and said how amazing emeril is. My dad opened up his own restaurant in 2002 and I fell in love with the restaurant/food life ever since like 10 and my dad has kinda passed the torch to me now
Emeril remains a huge part of my passion for cooking and E.J. already carries himself as a great leader and Chef. I look forward to this generation of learning from both of them.
Such a great interview 🤠 I'm a chef us merchant Marine retired been to the restaurant but I think it's so wonderful that his son p complimenting his heritage
Good for him! The Dynasty lives on ❤❤❤❤ Nowadays kids don't want to pursue the same career as their parents for many reasons. So for him to go into cooking is is pure passion and love
Cool for son to follow father. I have followed Emeril since his shows in the red and black kitchen when he began to have a TV presence...before Food Network. I am a visual and tactile learner. All of my senses must be engaged in an activity so much so that I am so immersed in the process that I don't hear people talking to me. Emeril taught me how to cook but more importantly why to cook. The addiction to cooking and working in the kitchen has saved me from less favorable addictions. My own son is bent like me and he is currently apprenticing in a sushi restaurant. Thank you Emeril and E.J. for the lessons of the past and the lessons to come in the future.
He seems like he's well grounded. I'm pretty sure his DAD just didn't give him the kitchen. He had a kind of earn it in his own way. I'M PRETTY SURE IF HE KEEPS HIS FATHER'S WISDOM WITH HIM AT ALL TIMES. PLUS,THE GROWING PAINS THAT ARE GOING TO COME WITH THE JOB THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR. HE WILL BE JUST FINE.
I wonder which topping is emerils favorite for his pizza and I find it impressive his son is so convinced that being a chef is what he’s best at , pretty cool , like a Kennedy ,
I wonder if he still prepares his father’s old dishes if a client requests them? Sometimes my favorite restaurants have done that for me, and sometimes they have told me that they just don’t have the ingredients. I’m fine with that. Every business updates, no matter what type of business it is.

This is how the relationship between father and son should be

Thank you for sharing. This was and is so nice to have his son learning and growing!!!!!
Amazing he looks just like his dad 😳😳😲
He's 19. Look how he carries himself and how he eloquently talks about dining, etc. A true prodigy, more than a chip off the old block.
I love this story, heartwarming and positive
His son is a very A type personality. I like that balance between him and his dad
E.J.’s catchphrase should just be “BOOM”
Such a talent just like his Dad but in his own way. Your both the best

food network used to have educational cooking shows. you could watch it all day. now it's just ridiculous contests like bake a pie in 60 seconds.
Kid is 19. Impressive
What an amazing young man.

There’s no chance that dude is ready
I wonder which topping is emerils favorite for his pizza and I find it impressive his son is so convinced that being a chef is what he’s best at , pretty cool , like a Kennedy ,

Based on what they were describing, it sounds like it is a tasting menu so there's no requests (outside of allergies).
EJ's Restaurants should expand
It's one thing to look like a parent. It's another when u either sound like them or have their mannerisms.

What an odd comment.
