    What an interesting list. Some cards that really challenge the way the deck has been built recently. Which is always a good thing.

      Yeah, it's pretty unique! I can't take credit tho, I was inspired heavily by the twitter post below, authored by GR Donkin. :)

    IMPORTANT NOTE: I said in the intro that this list was inspired by PuntThenWhine and Jose Moniz, but that isn't exactly accurate! The original list I based this build off of came from GR Donkin on Twitter: twitter.com/GR_DONKIN/status/1722357011986174334
    Sure, Jose and Punt both showed support for this build, so I do credit them as well! But the original creator deserves utmost credit!

    You were right, the salvation was on RUclips!!! at 6:40 you could have tried to play bounce land instead to have sunken + green + white + colorless to cast grazie boi to put garenbrig in play having sunken + white + colorless + garenbrig to try and resolve a titan.

      Good line, I'll be more aware of that sort of line in the future.

    Hello and thanks for the video and the content! I think you missed a line in the first match with Sunken Citadel: after fetching an Amulet through saga and floating 1 colorless, you could play bounceland (1GW floating), bounce back the bounceland, cast Grazer (1W) floating, put Castle into play, then use Sunken Citadel (1WGG) to activate Castle and then cast Titan

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      That's an amazing find! Grazer putting in Castle is not something that ever used to come up! I'll have to keep an eye out for lines like that in the future! Thanks for letting me know.

    This list looks fun and I'm glad there are new cards coming out to open up the brewing space for Titan besides every green mythinc chungus in a standard set as a potential second threat. (Through the breach Ghalta and friends could be silly fun though) On a serious note I think hulking raptor could be a card to test in Amulet and Titan Decks in general. The ward 2 means getting it down early can make it basically hexproof and the double green you get at the beginning of your precombat main phase curves naturally into Titan. The 2 green can also keep your head above water if your opponent plays a bloodmoon but the 5/3 stats also means if your opponent cant pressure you along with disruption you can just kill them in 4 turns. The flex slots in amulet are getting tighter and tighter so maybe this card fits better in the mono green shell you were talking about. I'd love to see you test it some time. Its definitely not as good as the ring and its casting cost can be restrictive but being able to pact for it is always an upside!

      You know, there was another commenter who mentioned that! It’s funny because neither Sunken Citadel or the Raptor were initially on my radar. Generally, 4 drops are in an awkward spot on the curve for us because they generally curve into a t4 Titan, not a t3 one. But I’d love to plane proven wrong about that. Perhaps I’ll give Raptor a shot.

    • @KeganMTG
      @KeganMTG 9 месяцев назад

      Everything you said is spot on about it. Definitely feels like it would be better in a more fair Titan shell that's less all in but harder to disrupt. Makes me miss the days of the old GW titan FotD deck lol

      Well I've started recording a vid with MonoG Valakut wih the new cards, so look out for that one!

    • @nathanbarry2840

      Honestly, I'm thinking it could fit into an amuletless list better than anything, the more I think about it. Something similar to the green valakut list that was ran, but with more focus on midrange creatures that bring lands into play more. Maybe even a singular courser of kruphix would have a place, because I feel that deck is more interested in making it into the midgame and producing value once there, both of which that card does. With sunken citadel and castle garenbrig, there may be enough non-amulet support to get there, and I think spelunking fits in there better too, because who cares if they waste removal on the card you used for its cantrip abilities. On that note, the other new creature that is similar to tireless tracker may be worth considering too (Sentinel of the Nameless City).
      I'm picturing a creature heavy list, that is not really weak to artifact/encahntment removal like the traditional lists.

    yea I was curious on how spelunking was going to work in this list. I wasnt sure how it worked with the triggers.

    I wonder if sunken citadel making tolaria west better could open possibilities for pacts to be used in conjunction with hive mind again? I mean, the answer is almost assuredly’no,’ but what if?!

      Honestly I think that idea makes a lot of sense! I didn’t realize this set would have so much to brew with for Amulet!

    What about 1 copy of the cave that enters as a copy of a land in your graveyard, so you can primetime for a land that got destroyed or discarded, another urza's saga, etc?

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      Honestly I think it’s way too narrow to see play unless you have a specific graveyard-abusing strategy in mind.

  • @johanperon2527
    @johanperon2527 9 месяцев назад

    Game 1 after you get amulet you can play bounceland, tap it for GW, play grazer with the G, you have 1 colorless 1 W in pool, you put Castle in play with Grazer ETB, and then you can activate castle with citadel to get Titan

    • @redfacedmenace

      What an awesome line, who knew Citadel adds this much complexity to the mix. :)

    I think we are going to want at least one copy of Echoing Deeps in amulet from now on as well. Can be used up Urza's Sagas (can copy from opp grave too), can be a fetchland to find forest, can be untapped mana on t1 for an amulet, can be valakut that was boseiju'ed, can be stronghold that was boseiju'ed, etc etc.

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      Gotta disagree on that one! It's very rare for our lands to get into the graveyard, and land slots are very very tight.

      Seems like a great card for tron though.

    • @redfacedmenace

      You think so? Do Tron lands often end up in the graveyard?

    • @nathanbarry2840
      @nathanbarry2840 9 месяцев назад

      I find that one to be deceptively strong unfortunately. Even alongside a single lotus field and fetches, I just don’t see the value.
      Now if you made a weird grave-centric deck with additional ways to dump lands into the graveyard like scapeshift and ways to more consistently have it produce mana, like amulet and spelunking, I could definitely see it having value, but that presents its own problems of becoming weak to gravehate if relied on too much.

    • @Wolfsbane32
      @Wolfsbane32 9 месяцев назад

      @@redfacedmenace there was a moment in this exact league where if you had echoing deeps you could've copied a stronghold that was in your graveyard. Think of it as another type of vesuva. The fail case is it's an untapped colorless land so we can still use it to cast spells and not worry about it entering tapped.

    I'm still not sure how I feel about Spelunking. I definitely think it can be a nice addition, but I don't know if I want to go a full 4 copies due to the potential downsides. As you said, it is great with Cultivator Colossus, making it slightly less worse. On that note, I think a single Scapeshift is some nice tech if going with the card, as a "better" second copy of Colossus that naturally has some added synergy. Personally, I think I am leaning towards 1-2 copies if any, as I don't like the idea of it turning amulet of vigor into a dead draw instead of a good draw - but that's just my playstyle/preference.
    I tried looking into cards that would let me return it to hand or had a bargain cost to be able to sacrifice my enchantment if needed, but didn't really come up with anything relevant. Maybe it is time for Terastodon to make a comeback - just kidding, but that's the best I could come up with.
    How do you feel about Hulking Raptor as a more natural way to get to 6 mana, which sort of doubles as a mini-threat - that's the main card I was excited for alongside Spelunking. I also thought Itzquinth, Firstborn of Gishath had some potential as tech against Magus of the Moon, although it has fallen out of favor in comparison to the original enchantment version. Pit of Offerings also seemed like a potential substitute for Bojuka Bog if we ever cared about our graveyard, or wanted to try to colorfix a little bit (not sure when either matters that much, but figured I would mention it).

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      I honestly don't feel like there are many significant disadvantages to playing Spelunking -- basically just that it stops you from double-hasting. But you're likely doing just fine if that's relevant anyways, and sometimes you can finagle around it. Maybe Spelunking doesn't need to be a 4-of, but I think the card is deceptively powerful.
      Hulking Raptor is at an awkward spot on the curve, and doesn't really play well against Blood Moon decks for post sideboard use since it has GG in the cost. It's a cool card, but too many hurdles and not enough jump imo.
      Having a sb card for just Magus is too narrow against an open field, realistically. If you see a lot of Magus in your meta you can play it, but it's not even the first pact-target for that effect: Thornscape Battlemage.
      Pit of Offerings is a cool card for sure. I think the utility of Bog hitting all cards, not a limited amount, is worth keeping it. But Pit is definitely one to keep in your Amulet box.

      I agree that it’s downsides aren’t that terrible in comparison to the upsides. I just like the deck to have more midrange reach and consistency in the late-game personally, instead of focusing solely on the combo.
      Is it the right decision? Probably not, but it fits the way I like to pilot the archetype. I like to lean on cards like tireless tracker that increase creature density post-board, even though the card has fallen out of favor.
      Spelunking being bad in multiples and basically invalidating one of the namesake cards just isn’t something I want to happen that often (you go down on mana to cycle it, so it is still slightly detrimental in duplicates).
      Don’t get me wrong, it definitely adds some consistency and can even enable powerful turns not otherwise possible, so it is worth consideration. I just would put it right below the power-level of mycosynth gardens, which already flexes the number of copies in the archetype, while not being necessarily required (but is preferred).

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      Well, with a bounceland Spelunking cycles itself for 1 mana and gives us some insulation against Binding/Boseiju type effects, so I don't mind it too much in multiples - not that it really does much like that tho. I personally love the more combo-ey approach to the deck, but not too all in. Spelunking does both, imo, so I'm happy with it. :)
      I am in full support of playing the deck how you like it! I tend to get drawn to more stock lists, but if I start winning more with an unconvetional list, I don't care how other people play it -- for me, liking the list and winning are both equally important. If having the ability to play a midrange slugfest is what makes the deck fun for you, then by all means go for it. :P

    The new enchant is super inferior to amulet. I would replace colossos with Hivemind. Then you just kill them with summon pact.

    • @redfacedmenace
      @redfacedmenace  9 месяцев назад

      I've gotten a few suggestions for Hive Mind, so I'll definitely consider it! I'm a big fan of Spelunking. In some ways, I think it's better than Amulet, depending on the context!

      @@redfacedmenace it almost feels like it needs a sun titan effect to make spelunking good. I like the garenbrig spam for huge amounts of mana in this deck.
