In this raw video, I show you a little bit of my journey in congress. Honestly, I didn't really vlog much, as this is a very very big moment in my life, and something were I am just so focused on what is happening around me. Back on February 1st, I was in a Committee on Justice hearing... that approved a house bill filed by Congresswoman Len Alonte from Biñan. And on February 27th, the House Bill was approved on third reading in congress.
Congress has granted me citizenship, and the bill will now be transmitted to Senate for approval.

Congratulations Kyle! I’m Philippine born and moved to Canada in 1983. I became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1987 and was able to regain my Filipino citizenship in 2014. I have been following you in RUclips and would love to also be able to see other parts of Philippines I have not been when I retire hopefully five years from now. Thank you for loving our culture. I showed you to my Canadian born kids and encouraged them to be proud of their heritage God bless you.

I know that many Americans and especially those spouses of Filipinos do feel like we’re adopted by the country even though we are not formally citizens. Emotionally, we do have a deep appreciation, love and emotional bond with the country and culture. Sometimes I do feel like I have a second brain that goes into Filipino mode when I’m interacting with Filipinos. I can see why they need to socialize a lot because there is a attitude boost that I find addictive, after socializing with Filipinos.

I am the same as him, I love the Philippines much more than my homeland of the US. I feel so much safer and happier their than in the US. Mostly because once COVID started the US became wild with criminals. To the Filipino people don’t come to the US because it is not safe there and you are better off staying in your home land where it’s safer and happier.

I was not born here in Canada but applied as citizen and was granted. That’s what happen also to Kulas, you can become a citizen as long as you have been granted by any country and pass the requirements. Try it.

You can be both proud and ashamed at the same time. Yes, I'm proud to be Pinoy, I always say it whenever people ask me where I'm from, but as a Filipino, with everything that's going on, how the country as a collective is going, how people act, how undisciplined our countrymen are and still have the audacity to demand change when they themselves can't, and how as simple as following traffic rules just doesn't sit with almost everyone.
Fyi Filipino isn't a race. Mr Kulas embracing, technically becoming 'filipino' isn't different with Philippine born Pinoys who became Canadians or Americans.

Not about disinterested of your own country, many of us have bad experiences with our own family members who are taking advantage while working abroad. A lot of times they took advantage of you especially my experience with my own family. So you can’t blame them if they left the country for good.
