Amazing! Did you use water to stick the fondant to the cardboard wings? And how is the template attached to the support base? Would be great to watch this in normal speed!
Thank you for your comments! The Cake Artist used diluted piping gel to stick the fondant to the cardboard, very little is needed. The template was used to plan the design but not used when putting together the cake. If you are asking how the plane was attached to the base, it was secured with royal icing. Hope this answers all your questions. Thanks for watching!
Hi would love to make this cake but I can’t seem to grasp all the steps because the video is no real time, do you have any written guidelines how to make the cake?
We do not measure our cake by weight. We used 12"x18" sheet cakes to carve this cake. It can be made in a smaller size if less servings are required but to make it with a proper scale, sizing needs to be taken into consideration so that you have enough cake to add the wings and such. We hope this explanation helps. Thanks for watching!
We did not keep it. Find a photo of a plane that you like, download the picture to blockposters.com and then you can print it and cut it into a template. Let us know how it goes and if you can, send us a photo of your finished product. Good Luck!
Pls can u add details on how u carved or got the shape of the plane body
