If you install an SSD in the 1st position, your graphics card performance will drop from 16x to 8x.

As far i know, It's for only gen 5 ssd, if you install gen4 no problem

The graphics card will be 8x speed.
I promise.. I tried it. Regardless of which Gen 5 / Gen 4 you use, if you use that line, the graphics card will run at 8x speed.

@@edmina284 If it is a Z790 apex board, you can install two SSDs in dimm.2 SLOT or install them in the 2nd or 3rd positions on the motherboard.
