- In 1982, an Australian mother was convicted of murdering her baby daughter. She was later exonerated, but soon fell victim to a joke that distracted the world from the real story.

Shame in the media & the government. I hope she sued the hell out of both.
I always thought her older son was guilty, that out of jealousy he killed his sister. Lindy was told during the court case, not to smile or cry or show any emotion as the public, reporters, police, judge and jurors would misinterpret every facial expression. That poor family, especially Lindy, went through hell and prejudiced opinion for years, even after she was released from jail with a piece of paper saying Azaria was indeed taken by a dingo, people still doubted her innocence. Since that heartbreaking case, there have been numerous occasions when dingoes have proved beyond all doubt, that they are opportunists, and will never miss a chance of an easy meal. A baby, to them, is just a small animal, that can't fight off an attack, and does'nt run away, its a meal to them that is so easy to snatch, even when there are other people in the vicinity, they are predators and that is that. The N.T. police here in Australia were also less than competent in their investigations, for a start they should've asked the Aboriginals what they knew of the behaviour of dingoes, since they've shared this country with these wild dogs for thousands of years. I feel so sorry about the lynch mob attitude and hatred alot of fellow white Australians have been guilty of the last 40 years, l myself want to apologise for ever doubting Lindy's story, that poor lady went through so much heartache that she never ever deserved.
I wonder that even Aussies didnt know how deadly their wildlife is, Crocodiles, Spiders, Snakes, Sharks, Jellyfish and Dingos
No they don't, clearly. Australians act like it's normal to feed their young to the indigenous wildlife. It's not normal.
People in the US don't either. I live near a Mountain Lion preserve, it's a preserve set up for the habitation of Mountain Lions, and yet idiots still want to go jogging through there at dawn and dusk and then are ALL upset when they see a Mountain Lion. They call the rangers and want them to shoot the lions, because how dare they interrupt they evening jog!
@@mcaskey358 You ever feed your baby to a dingo? Probably not.
@@mcaskey358 I did hear Americans throw their young to the gorillas in the zoos when they misbehave.
They denied her mourning and forced her to give birth before going to prison, it's horrible how it's a joke now.
Lets hope after 40years that our forensic experts can now tell the difference between blood and paint??
Seinfeld… that made me so angry. Making a mother who has lost her child and then is prisoned for it a punchline? Freaking idiots.
PS I love this channel so much, been watching around 30 of its videos the last weeks. Thanks for teaching me about things I wasn’t yet Alice to experience.

Poor lindy 😔 and her family
etcetera etcetera sent me here
Me as well but this is so dark I can't imagine a grown adult mocking this
She lost one baby and missed her other daughter's time as a baby because a bunch of people made the wrong call. Very sad that her baby died and she got the vitriol of Australia on top of it all. Messed up to say the least.
I mean if dingo didn't sounds so ridiculous, wild dog would have been better.
In Australia, even Casey Anthony somehow involves a dingo.
It always angers me when I hear people say, "Oh she's guilty! She isn't crying enough! She's not upset enough!" One, most people in that situation are clinging to calm by the skin of their teeth, because panicked screaming and crying fits aren't going to help. Two, how exactly do you know how a person is supposed to behave when their child has just been killed by wild animals? Have you had your child drug away by wild dogs and then had the entire world accuse you of murder? If not, then shut up. Everyone is different and they react differently. Some scream and cry, some go completely numb, some try to put up a tough front. Saying they aren't behaving the way you'd like is no reason to convict someone. I recently heard a case about a teenage girl who was being sexually assaulted by her own father. No one believed her, so she set up a webcam and caught him in the act. They brought in experts who analyzed the video and confirmed, beyond any doubt, that her father was sexually abusing her. The jury found him NOT guilty, because the girl wasn't crying enough in court for their taste. They all agreed that he'd been sexually assaulting his OWN DAUGHTER! But because she wasn't a bawling wreck the entire trial, they found him innocent and let him go. So you can just take that, "They aren't crying enough for me" BULLSHIT and shove it were the sun don't shine!
good dog
Hmm
They look like The Carpenters for God's sake!
Would the clothes be that intact after a dog attack ??
Yes they would these are smart animals that have no interest in cotton.
Absolutely...dogs are very capable of that let alone wild dogs
Did you not hear the explanation, that dingos peel the skin off their prey, so it makes sense they would peel the clothes off the baby. And again, they were able to prove that it was a dingo.
Just recently a dingo stole a woman's phone before attacking her at a gold-mine, she's recovering but has actually lost some muscular functions.
The baby had on an outer jacket.
guilty
@@andypat5405 and that your opinion, i based my opinion on the facts, the babies cloths were not torn up nor was there any saliva from a dingo and last i checked a dingo dont have thumbs so they couldn't remove the child's cloths without ripping it
