I love how clean the interface looks like in Companions and the fact that it gives decent amount of rewards unlike the classic one. I'm afraid I might like the Companions more but I am already invested in the classic one
Im still so confused on why they did not just turn it into an actual major update for the classic game, overhauling the old interfaces and adding new mechanics. I was atleast hoping they could make a way for account migration so that we can move our progression between the games since personally, the thought of having to start all over when you've spent 2-3 years playing on your account feels absolutely dreadful. Just overall dissapointed
After 5 years of playing the classic, there’s no way I’m switching to companions. Why are people acting like this is fine? Just because there are more rewards and some new mechanics that should be implemented in the classic, Lilith creates a new one with exact same interface and tells us, 'Hey, start over from scratch, lose 5 years of progress, 5 years of VIP (I'm a dolphin, it matters a lot), your guildmates, etc. build old heroes again... Are players really okay with this?? If the classic dies, I’ll look for something new, far from Lilith! Don't forget the classic was a banger and very f2p friendly at the beginning, I'm not getting trapped by the same studio again!
@@Ceezy_yt Well, from my perspective the game is dying rather fast or at least its in a huge downward spiral started from early 2024 till now. People are fed up with this content overload even long term players quitting the game on a large scale, look at the Guilds in perticular, they are all out empty, chats are full where people searching for new players or try to fuse because of many inactive players. I think im gonna quit too, i was hoping for a change but after 5 years its boring as hell.
Why not just put this stuff into the main game and make it better? Ive been playing afk arena for almost 3-4 years and ive finally hit as one of the top players in my server and on the campaign leaderboard. I love the grind, but only once, starting from fresh with absolutely nothing is one of the worst and boring things to me as a player to do. Tried starting a new game multiple times and i just end up letting the account die. Especially with how time consuming and the wait is for certain resources
This is my thoughts why try and make a new game that's the same as the old one instead of taking the good from this testing grounds almost and merge it into classic that way we don't lose progress but we also get all the good parts of companion and hell I don't care if to do it they have to shut afk down for several months as I think it would be worth it

I won't play the new one even if they kill the old one unless progress transfers over. I don't understand the need to make a second adk arena. It's like they aren't confident in making these changes so they split the player base instead. It all feels weird and a mess. What are their plans? What is their vision? This doesn't make sense.
I downloaded afk arena thinking I'll be having many choices in Dimensional Characters, I'm 7 days in when I realize that companions and classic are 2 different games. I'm so confused when other heroes don't exist in companions
Classic is the real game BUT it is super in-depth with content and for most players a little much to understand since we are almost 6 years in with 160+ heroes... Companions is a great flow and much more user friendly to understand. Really depends on your play style, Classic is a LOT more time.

Awakened Heroes are reimagined, stronger versions of existing heroes with their own unique designs, skill sets, and abilities. For example, Awakened Belinda is a more powerful version of the regular Belinda.
One complaint: Where the hell is -Lorsan- half the roster?! Why aren't all the heroes available day one? Is Lilith drip feeding us these heroes to make it seem like Companions mode is receiving regular content updates? Very annoying.
So basically it's a remaster/remake of the classic version. I think they feel like the classic is dying soon and got lazy to improve it and decided to just creat a copy but improve version of the game for more $$ 😂

It depends on how invested you want to be into the game. Companions is pretty limited in heroes like he says in the video, but Arena has SO MUCH to do and learn. I personally went with Arena at first, and made it to stage 28-40, 353 king's tower, etc. and hit a pretty hard brick wall. Now I'm playing through Companions and having a good time with it with what I've learned from base Arena.
This just makes me not want to play even afk arena, feels like the devs are giving up on it. What is this? Why not put this in the base game and improve it? I already had a fresh start with afk journey, this just feels bad.
If afk arena classic dies then that'll be the time I quit and finally move on with my life. No point in playing the same game only to start over. If companions does complete itself then there may be a chance our classic accounts will be linked and replicated thru a kind of code exportation or something, which is nice.
after playing the original for four years. i quit months ago. came back because companions actually seems fun and not a slog to get through especially if im able to use someone else’s heroes to get through the campaign which i hated in the original. all the other pvp modes will always be a non starter for me, in companions or not, because no matter what you’ll have to spend thousands to get to top 100 for any good rewards. people can be upset because they’re losing all of their progress but for me ive only spent money on cosmetics and at the end of the day that’ll never be enough for me to stay with a game. what’s the point when i can only do dailies every day and see no actual progression unless i spend all my money? i know that’ll be what happens with companions too, but im prepared to enjoy the game until i hit that point then drop it again.
All I know is companions doesn´t have Goulish gallery or Draconis so Im not going to leave my 3+ years account but I will enjoy the freshnes of comapnions, I started playing afk shortly after the game´s 3rd anniversary and always regretted not doing it sooner, this kinda gives me the chance to feel a little of what the classic game was about.

I hope this isn't the death flag of the classic game though, I still cannot see another reason behind companions other than the death of afk.

If they actually use it to "test" content and make adjustments in the classic it will be decent!
