I'm going to make an r2 unit with a gray and purple color scheme, and give it a black personality chip (and blasters based on budget). His name is going to be SN-ES
My suggestion is to get a Droid instead of a lightsaber. The Droid is way better and half the cost. The lightsabers they give you are at best a third the cost of what they charge you for one.
Yea true. Don't they sell drink trays you can attach for the droid too? Because that would be hella cool for a party when your little droid is rolling out drinks for guests

the all blue with the clear top looks good best one ive seen so far. White legs might have been cool to but prob better to just break up the blue with the decal pack
Annoying that the R units are more customisation than the BB units. Correct me if I'm wrong... there don't seem to be any plates or attachments other than the personality chip for the BB units.
Wait so she says that the personality chip is for the droid to interact with other droids and the land but ...you cant use him in the park because the first order will take it? so all interaction have to be inside the box? wheres the fun in that?
The personality chip will change how he interacts all the time, not just in the parks! However, Disney has a "no roaming" policy that means droids must stay boxed up while in the park!

Hi! We already had a BB unit at home, so we decided to get an R-series this time 🙂 When you build, you get a basket that has a visual diagram of the parts you need for each unit so you can match them to what you see go by on the conveyor - and there are helpful cast members nearby too to help!
Built a BB unit at WDW Galaxy's Edge a week ago. What a piece of junk. If the unit hits a bump the head falls off and once the unit sits idle for a few minutes it won't work. Had to open it up nd tun it off then on to work. If I was still in the park I would return it for a refund.
1st off that's what you get for buying the BB unit its head is only held on by magnets 2nd The droid goes into sleep mode When not being active unless If you turn off the controller then it doesn't go to sleep and I'll make random noises and move I don't know what you expected from a ball and a magnet
Hi Deanna! At Disney World, you can ship your droid home for an additional fee. Just bring your receipt and the droid to any merchandise location (including Droid Depot), but they do not offer shipment back to the hotel. Hope this helps!
Some people say that the droid is better than the lightsaber, but you can barely customize the droid, there’s like 4-6 color options to pick from and none of them look particularly nice together if you mix them, much too vibrant for that. Like, say you wanted to make a white bb droid with like, pink accents. You can’t really do that. The R series do have more customization, but the point still stands. The colors they offer clash too much with each other and there’s only so many combos you can make that will look decent. They’re also super small imo. Edit: I totally forgot about the sub par remote they give you. Really Disney? Come on.
See I just build my droid and I love it so much it’s also half the cost of a light saber and can do more than the lightsaber with interaction, can move back and forth, side to side, it can also turn its head, and is just very cool and fun! While a lightsaber is just is just well you know :)
@@chaosbringer9007 Very true, but the lightsaber workshop is also sold as an experience as if you are a padawan creating your first saber. I still agree an aftermarket one is better.

There’s a test area across the way from the depot where you can play and interact with other droids. It’s a liability to have these things roaming the park. People can trip and fall and sue or someone could accidentally (or if spiteful) purposefully kick it and break your new companion. It’s better this way. Plus it still interacts while in the box/bag!
