I know what you’re saying because like if you’re not making a million dollars from your art you kinda feel like it’s because there’s something wrong with it, or like when you don’t get into the show you wanted, or when you don’t fit in to the gallery scene (I’m in New York and it’s impossible literally) and it can demotivate you from creating or make you feel just like stupid for trying
Maybe I'm a bit too far on the other side, I really hate that we all need money, but having those types of thoughts isn't going to make money go away, so I'll try to restrain myself
I was very surprised by your drive to empower at the core of this video. I thought the angle you took to dissect / intersect people, place - (and time (immaterial, sounds, feelings, smells, etc.) issue was also new and refreshing. Do you think the show you had in a gym (outside the art scenes) a couple of weeks ago has something to do with your will to communicate on this particular topic (people, place and time) now ? The feeling “stupid for trying” is real, been there, but our trying is beautiful and I’m so proud of you!
