Id read orginal module, clone the orginal data, and write it to a known good unit. Or just bypass the bullshit w an arduino/raspberry pi depending on amount of processing and built-in wireless functionality you want. You can easily spoof most sensors or even read, compile and output data from real sensors bypassing parts of CANBUS, ECU, etc.
