I think that people don't care much about the type of "idol story" drama. It seems like they prefer romance, comedy, family... that kinds of drama. Moreover, "IDOL : The Coup" is released at 23:00 in Korea, with about 1h30'/ep. It's too late and too long for people since they have to sleep, so they can go to work tomorrow. Therefore, we, international fans should help the drama by watching on iqiyi and giving high rate, streaming their music on spotify, 2 MVs "White Day" - Cotton Candy and "Cloud 9" - Mars.
I think it's because there are a lot of sad scenes and unnecessary dialogues in this drama. I still love this story and the performances in this drama. Their acting is great and realistic. They have practised a lot as I feel. A few scenes have made this drama too long. But this drama is not something that anyone can drop in the middle.
