I don't understand why this drama wasn't successful. For someone like me who doesn't really like Kpop dramas (but I loved Dream High) I was hesitant on watching it but I was really surprised! It's a very good drama. For me the best drama of 2021. Of course it's very dramatic but it has the same aura as Dream High! Too bad koreans like cheesy dramas with big actors today...
SPOILERS if you haven't watched but, Almost 2 years out, revisiting this, and realizing that I'm glad they didn't give a real reason for why the CEO basically betrayed them after debut. Because its so realistic. No matter how talented your real favs are and how much of a family their company is, that same company will drop them at the drop of a hat for a newer group
Now, I'm missing them a Lot more!! ALL THE PEOPLE INVOLVING ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN THE DRAMA IDOL: THE COUP, ARE ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE KDRAMA INDUSTRY. I MISS COTTON CANDY AND THIS DRAMA SERIES. :)

@@chasedworld0419 yeah! and yep youre wrong. ^^; i do have quite an album collection. when i got into kpop, photocards weren't a big thing, so i never got in the hype. randomnized photocards are just a tactic to get people to buy more albums. i like the photobooks a lot more tbh as it's got more photos and and fun layouts. there's some photocards i like, but those are made by fans and have cool effects or materials, which i think is much more special :') to each their own but i assure you that some do buy albums to own the CDs and photobook lol

Solbin is from LABOUM, Green is from REDSQUARE, Hani is from EXID, Exy is from WJSN, and Han So Eun is solely actress. i really recommend checking out the music of their groups! and you can listen to Cotton Candy songs on all music platforms and there is a physical album too.
@@sheone2378 i know! but i shared this because not many people knew Cotton Candy members are real idols, with similar struggles. the drama was supposed to promote them too actually, but it didnt have that effect. all Cotton Candy members still seem to be in contact w each other on instagram from what i've seen, it's cute.
