Sadly thats not the gospel, nowhere was the gospel stated in this video, we christians are righteous because of our believe. The people that want to get righteous with god with their works will fail.
Yeah I get you, I agree, salvation is not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9) we are saved through Christ alone. But I think what JP was trying to say is that you can’t say you believe yet you live a life that says otherwise. In other words, if you believe something then you will live as though it’s true, so if you believe in God then your life must reflect that. So like James said, faith without works is dead, James is not saying that salvation is as a result of our works and faith but rather works follow faith, as in works are the product or fruit of faith. So the same way a tree tat doesn’t bear fruit is dead is the same way someone who claims they believe yet live like the world and act like the world have a dead faith, that’s why James says faith without works is dead. So essentially what you believe is reflected by the way you live. You can’t say you believe and yet you live a life contrary to it because then you don’t truly believe.
I will struggle but ill do it for you my lord thank you for this life and bless us all who finally see.
