      Shane alright sir, Elon is 48 years old. He has plans to live on mars himself in his lifetime. So if you have the income to do so you definitely not only will be able to see it for yourself but can also spend your last hours there as well. Remember you can sell what you have here for a new life on Mars :). Something to look forward to. Not everyone owns a house so maybe you can start saving now sir. I know I’ll be aboard that ship as it’s my dream to help with the process and work along side of the man himself. Dream big it’s never too late.

      @GoodRiddanceGooglePlus en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elon_Musk#Education
      While awaiting Canadian documentation, Musk attended the University of Pretoria for five months.[44] Once in Canada, Musk entered Queen's University in 1989, avoiding mandatory service in the South African military.[45] He left in 1992 to study economics and physics at the University of Pennsylvania; he graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from the College of Arts and Sciences.[46][47][48]
      In 1994, Musk held two internships in Silicon Valley during the summer: at an energy storage start-up called Pinnacle Research Institute, which researched electrolytic ultracapacitors for energy storage, and at the Palo Alto-based start-up Rocket Science Games.[49] Bruce Leak, the former lead engineer behind Apple's QuickTime who had hired Musk, noted: "He had boundless energy. Kids these days have no idea about hardware or how stuff works, but he had a PC hacker background and was not afraid to just go figure things out."[50]
      In 1995, Musk was accepted to a Ph.D. program in energy physics/materials science at Stanford University in California.[51] In California, Musk attempted to get a job at Netscape, but never received a response to his job inquiries.[52] He ended up dropping out of Stanford after two days, deciding instead to join the Internet boom and launch an internet startup instead.[53]
      while it took several tries he also is able to achieve reusable rockets with falcon series of rockets(soon enough the starship series as well) it's all on the spacex youtube channel
      ruclips.net/channel/UCtI0Hodo5o5dUb67FeUjDeA
      he also made the neuralink project operational demonstrating it at an event a few months ago, his boring company also has completed several tunnels already and is making more, his Tesla company is also successful in creating almost autonomous cars and trucks, he also already have several starlink satellites in orbit as I'm writing this.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink#:~:text=SpaceX%20launched%20the%20first%2060,for%20continuous%20coverage%20in%202020.

      @Christian Unger To save mankind from such an impact, you‘d rather have to develop the science and technology of tracking down asteroids endangering earth as soon as possible and changing their trajectory so as to throw them into the sun.The budget for that would be more effective for several reasons, one of them being that a mars colony would provide too little genomic variation. We should spend money on the things we need. And as we proved we can wreck our home planet, how would we not wreck mars - being an uninhabitable planet anyway.

    • @MyLateralThawts
      @MyLateralThawts 4 года назад +11

      HarryGuit one source I heard stated Elon plans to have a million inhabitants on Mars within a century. I haven’t heard what the plans were for a moon colony a century from now, which I suspect is similar. At any rate, the planned exploitation of the asteroid belts would automatically require a tracking system that should also benefit us in the event of another massive object arriving on a collision course towards our planet.

    After Mars the next logical step is ceres. Not for colonizing just for resources. You can put a station there and stuff. After that then you've got jupiters moons. Particularly Ganymede because it already has a magnetic field to protect it from solar winds. In fact it is the only moon in the solar system that has a magnetic field like earth has. It also has oxygen in its atmosphere although not a high enough percent for humans and potentially could have liquid water beneath its surface.

      You could try today how you would like it. Spend your next holiday entirely in your cupboard, because that is the amount of personal space Musk has planned for you according to the plans at the SpaceX website. Also, do not shower during this time because there is no such thing in space (you can use wet wipes) and eat microwave food as a space food simulation only. You must exercise two hours every day on a home trainer though, without exception. At the end of your 2 week "holidays", imagine how you would feel like doing this for 9 months straight, but at the end you will be most likely severely ill, only, you cannot go to see a doctor on Mars. Also, you will be so weak that you would need someone to help you walk, especially in your 250 Kg space suit, even if it only weights 45 Kg on Mars. I bet you cannot make it 2 minutes in your regular life carrying 45 Kg. In that state, you would have to start building your habitat on Mars with your buddies, who are equally fucked up as you are. Btw, the 10 trillion are the launch costs for food on Mars for 6 months and to get there. So, are you still going? There is no Holiday Inn waiting for you on Mars and there won't be any sight seeing. Just you re-breathing 12 months old farts, stale food odour and sweat from your buddies.

    If any one has followed Elon musks work they would know the reason musk has no intention of receiving anything back and is willing to spend so much to colonies Mars is simple it's because there is so many catastrofic anomomolies that happen everyday on earth Elon is a percentage guy and there is high percentage that the earth will at one point or another have a catastrofic event and the best way to insure human life is to have us be a multi planetary race meaning if earth dies Humans survive on Mars or vise versa Elon musks plan isn't to make money it's to insure human life . I doubt anyone will actually ready this but if you do give it a like .

    • @kpbendeguz
      @kpbendeguz 4 года назад

      Since Mars is an inhabitable planet, a Mars colony will only ensure the survival of humanity in case of Earth being exploded into pieces. If Earth's main structure remain intact then no matter how much we destroy the surface, climate, wildlife, etc. it is still gonna be a better place for humanity to live on than any other planet in the Solar system. If everything goes shit on Earth, building a self-sustainable, sealed "container" city still could be done on Earth with fraction of the costs compared doing the same on Mars.
      That doesn't mean colonizing Mars is pointless, exploration has always pushed humanity forward, but colonizing Mars itself will not ensure humanity's survival, the things we could learn by doing it might.

    This whole "Let's go live on Mars" hype is just so . . . dumb. No one is ever excited to live in a desert or in Antarctica, or at the top of Mount Everest and yet Mars is like that only ten times worse as there is no breathable air(practically a vacuum), no life, the soil is acidic, no water(unless you can extract and purify the toxic, deep underground lakes), and as if they could build good cities there with decent hotels, restaurants, parks, and a functioning economy. Humans can barely build good communities here on Earth. What makes people think, trying to build one on a desolate wasteland is a good idea. Also, I always hear about people complaining staying at a hotel with slow wifi. Even if you had internet connection on Mars, it would take radiowaves around 6 minutes or more to reach earth and back to Mars. Internet connection on Mars is gonna be sh!t. Living there is gonna be boring as f.

      Black Dragon you don’t get it, you’d need heavier materials to make useful weights, and your body mass can’t take that’s after it’s been adapted to the gravitational pull of mars, not like it would for a few years. You’d need to go to the gym for almost double the time you do, while things are needed, mostly research.
