Where you dropped off the rims, I would have asked him for a little floor dry. That way by the time you got home, the oil would have been absorbed, then you could have swept it up. You know the guys well enough; they would have given you a little.
They actually offered but silly me was in too much of a rush. Next time 🙂
Polly, you need to get a bag of cat litter to keep in the truck. It is very cheap and is good to soak up oil and transmission fluid with. You just throw a big hand full down over the oil or other fluid and wait 10 to 15 minutes then sweep it up. The cost is one tenth that of the regular oil up crystals.

Carry a bucket and a container of scoopable kitty litter and a small spade for when that happens. And lots of rags.

You should always keep transmissions level and flat as possible same with torque converters. You should also carry some oil dry or kitty liter to soak up oil and trans fluid and sweep it up.
My jaw still drops at how much you find and is thrown out there. I live in USA and we don't have even a quarter of what you find daily. At least not where I live. Awesome as always. Car wash time to clean out that bed.

Poly a tip for dealing with any spilt oil, cover with a ton of salt, and then use a dustpan and brush.

Now for the oil in your trailer you can use cat litter, saw dust, just plain dirt or even floor dry to soak it up with.

Man I was out of breath watching you carry all those weights too bro LOL...
In the scrappers tool bag (or under the seat) include a plastic bag with 4 or 5 old cotton t shirts rolled up tight, and another couple of plastic bags to put the dirty rags in to. Roll it all up tight with a couple of big rubber bands Presto! a small clean up kit you can dispose of easily in the home rubbish bin. Simple and free. Love the channel.

If the decanter set is cut glass it is expensive , if it is cast glass then it isn't worth so much but still sellable. On that folding ladder it is those flat tabs in the joints that release the locks , they will reengage at the next preset position so you might have to unlock the joints more than once to get it straight or whatever. Might need some lube in the locks and joints but again it should be a sellable item. Great finds in this video.

@@PolyProphet Cast glass usually has a seam where the halves of the mold came together. Spotting cut glass am not sure about. As for the ladder at least you'll know about the latches for the future.

It doesn’t make more money though it also doesn’t use as much space and time as storing, testing, cleaning and listing everything. Also the camera doesn’t really show the poor condition a lot of the stuff is in. Thanks vlad 🤙🤙

It reminds me my childhood when I watched western movies with hundreds of cars on american scrap yards which were much better than those on our roads here in Ukraine and I dreamed of visiting such a place and taking one for me.
Now I understand that in developed countries peoples time and work cost much more than things and it's great 👍
