Lovely to see you pop up in my subs. I needed some street shopping after a very stressful day, thank you Poly. I do need to ask if you pay more attention to 'boys' toys rather than 'girls' toys because you only have male offspring? Or do 'boys' toys sell better? (I've put boys and girls in commas because I don't consider toys to be either boys or girls but most toys are marketed that way). Again thank you.
I’ve never thought of it like that. Toys sell either way. I am used to ‘boys’ toys myself and can actually only think of barbie, bratz and little pony at the moment and I have three daughters 😅
Boys toys definitely sell better, that's not to say girls don't play with them, but action figures, diecast cars etc are so popular and where you might get $1 for a barbie doll, most good action figures you can get $5-$10. I have a hoard of toys now so have gotten pretty fussy what I take. I never bring whole bags home, cherry pick the good stuff
Just thinking of examples, probably lego, girl's lego vs boy's lego, the girl's lego still sells but doesn't command as higher price. Marvel, Star Wars etc is highly sought after
Another example is bikes, a good quality/brand boy's bike will sell, girl's bikes are a struggle, so much so that I only pick them up for scrap if they are aluminium, otherwise I leave them

Oh and I have to tell you this, few days ago, looked in a box and there were 2 big dead rats, yikes! Frightened the life out of me. I don't know if they were put there to keep people out of their stuff, if so it worked lol

You ever thought of renting a commercial garage for more space instead of going to the 2 storage units.imagine you'll have more space for your collectables for the flea market.
Yes I did look into it before getting the second unit. I looked at 1 place nearby, great location, it was perfect except really expensive. I will consider it at a later date.

How do you know where to go? Do you just drive around? Where I lived in LA our trash day was Fridays so everyone knew put your stuff out on the curb Thursday.
Trial and error. I drove around for at least a month trying to figure out the garbage truck schedule. I don’t know exactly but have a good idea 🙂

It's a shame you had to rush at that pile at around 28:00. Tools do really well at the market and there looked to be other good stuff. Were they not happy about you going through it? Some people get funny about it. I had an angry Karen a few weeks back 😅 She came out yelling at me and filming me lol After my attempt to be nice and polite to her failed, I just carried on getting stuff 😇 It was fun watching her have a meltdown
