    I love Steve's innocent and refreshing car reviews. "viable commuter for a person of the right mind-set" Perfectly said! Bravo ... Enthusiasts don't mind/want a "harsh" ride, the handling payoff is more than worth it! :)

    This is how a sports car should be... talking about performance and handling rather than talking about amenities and comfort! You don't buy a car like this for comfort! Awesome review, Steve! (:

    Bad ass car. Just not enough car for the money. At that price it should have the 5.6 v8 from the Titan. Could you imagine a car with a wing like that snarling, crackling v8? That would be pretty heavenly.

      I just imagined and dude holly shit it will be bad ass the Z on on a big nissan v8 tuning up to 4 to 5 some hp it could even take out the gt it will be great to see but sadly it will never happen but hell that is a bad ass idea

    I haved a red Nismo 370Z, best car I ever had. No matter where I go I always get stares and compliments from other drivers. Launch her at about 3800 RPM and you'll get into the hi 4's 0-60. If you do 5's you spun too much. It does put you in the seat under acceleration you may have a green engine. The interior is not dated and looks great compared to other sport cars. The best feature of the car is the handling. Coming from an 350Z, this Nismo clearly out handles it's older version.

    I've had a white one since December. We're lucky in the UK as we get the full sat nav, Bose and reversing camera as standard. This is my third 370 and while the performance figures may not look much it's definitely a quicker and sharper ride than the standard 370. Looks are subjective of course but I think it's a stunning looking car and certainly gets lots of positive attention.

    One of my best friends drives a 350z Nismo, and he is one of the nicest guys I know. Not sure if he's the exception, or if cars like this really do tend to have jerk drivers.

    • @MrGencyExit64

      I have a 2015 370z Nismo. I am usually very patient in traffic, but if I spend enough time behind some slowpoke, I'll downshift 2-3 gears let the engine roar and get the fsck out of there. I also get frustrated when I encounter other cars on a certain stretch of road full of twists and turns on my way home - the speed limit's between 35 and 50 but I like to go ~60. Basically, traffic ruins all the fun in this car and will sour anyone's mood ;)
      All that might make me appear like a jerk, but I'll happily talk to anyone who stops in traffic and asks about the car, even when they think it's a Porsche and I have to explain that it's a Nissan :P

    I see this NISMO as an alternative to American muscle/pony car. Don't expect to see any Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger owners to switch to an import tuner.
    I'd even consider the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the V6 (base engine is a turbo inline-4) for its price point, maybe less.

  • @BrayZap

    It's going to be literally 3 weeks of staying up 24 hours a day watching car reviews next fall lol. Trading in the Lancer. Looking at Boss 302, Gt500, Vette Z06, Challenger srt8, ZL1, Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track , Evolution X GSR (shitty weather for RWD) , Audi TT RS, Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, nissan 370z nismo

    • @skylergabriele6445
      @skylergabriele6445 10 лет назад +3

      I REALLY like the audi and the 370z BUT they just don't compare to the safeness of the ZL1. The ZL1 is about 4,000 pounds, low to the ground and thus will be very hard to do anything to. I have a friend that got into a major accident in his Camaro SS but he was still perfectly fine. The ZL1 is also faster than the audi and the 370z. It's gas mileage isn't nearly as good as the 370 but it sure as hell makes up for that in other ways. Also if you plan on using a car for the track.. mustangs just aren't good enough unless you purchase a shelby. If you watch reviews for the Boss 302 a constant problem with it is bad brakes and the fact that it jumps around a TON.
      If I were you I'd decide between the ZL1 and 370Z. The ZL1 has faster times BUT if you're into drifting or lots of tight corners.. the 370 is probably for you.

      I love my Evo X, it's amazing and reacts so well to mods. I'd highly encourage you to check it out. Only downside is the trunk space and dated interior. I was in the same exact position as you and I went with the Evo. Sure it's not going to beat a ZL1 in a straight-line but if auto cross is more your fancy you'll be whoopin asses all day completely stock.

    • @BrayZap
      @BrayZap 10 лет назад

      ksmuffin if theres any TT RS around my area when im ready to buy ill def go for one i think. They are just so damn rare to find on a lot, they didnt bring too many over to the states. The TT RS is like an Evo or an STI except +60 more stock horsepower , less weight, and more interior/exterior haha. but you do pay for what you get.

    • @XxXDOMINIONXxX
      @XxXDOMINIONXxX 10 лет назад +1

      Skyler Gabriele you need to test drive each car you want before you buy it. Don;' listen to anyone on the internet especially youtube. Most opinions are bias in their own right. Go test drive each car, and i mean test drive, not drive around the block, drive the shit out of it. Review videos by credible reviewers are good, but you need to drive, one of them will let you know which car is for you.

    performance cars in that price bracket, you could easily get an sti, an evo x, an audi s4, a 335i, or 135i. the z is up against tough competition.
    this z needs to be $10k cheaper.

    Luv the 370, the nismo variant is a waste of money. Ill take a touring model, modify it and stll for under 45k have it built the way I like with susp n engine mods and putting down 40 more hp than the nismo keeping it NA . Boom! What he said in the beginning is so true mine without the fancy body kit and stupid wing still gets boy in his momsv6 accord or basically everything my z can stomp easily tries to race me. I ignore 99% them.

  • @BrayZap

    It's amazing how the 370Z has become a rare site in this gen. I see them no where anymore. I personally think this one looks better than the last 350Z. Minus the bat fangs in front. The NISMO model look fake and to me not worth that premium.

  • @tactiletinkerer
    @tactiletinkerer 11 лет назад

    Paint looks mismatched on hood and front fascia... disappointing. Cool car otherwise, though. Prolly get a used 370Z without that obnoxious wing, and the bare NISMO nose or OEM replica for it (color-matched myself, thanks).

    Good thing everyone else is saying what im thinking, i thought i was the only one. When i was checking out some 370z nismos online, the brand new price is about 44k....REALLY!? , of course you can "TRY" to find a used one if you really want but for a car thats really not that overpowering with performance horsepower and not even a v8 engine, its pretty damn overpriced im sure alot of people would agree. Better off getting a turboed Evo X or a Mustang Boss 302 ....christ nissan

    This high price places this car within spitting range of cars like BOSS 302, GT500, C7 Z51, 335i etc etc etc etc
    I could see how for 30k this could be a good alternative but close to 50k?!!
    maybe I am just cheap but I would never pay that much for a 350hp v6 when I can get a 450+hp car that handle as well or better.

    A driver in a truck, SUV, or sedan, can cut people off and nobody calls those cars "Jerk" cars. If a sports car does it, then people call the car a "jerk car". Some women also assume that because a man drives a sports car, that he must be a jerk or self centered. In my case, that would be true - but not every male that drives a sports car is a jerk and besides, I am also seeing more and more females driving sports cars, specifically, the Z, the EVO, and the STI. Now what?? Jerk women??

      Wow you sound naïve, misinformed or both. Ricer? Really. You should get the history on the Z car before you start spewing nonsense . I have a red Nismo and the car is worth every penny. How can a car that can hang within tenths of a second of an 100k Porsche Cayman be over priced.

      Did you know the Z is actually the number one selling sports car of all time? Mostly because it's a small low priced sports car but there are people who truly love the Z. Plus, until direct injection came out the Nissan V6 was considered one of the best, if not the best V6 made. That engine also made Wards Top Ten engines for about 15 straight years. Now, you have reasons to at least respect a Z. Drive one and feel how solid and well made that engine is.

      +NextSelection for around 17k, you can get a z with around 40k miles. it's all about being patient. I'm picking up a black 2012 Z touring with sport package. Only 45k for a steal at 12,900
