  • Wanted to organize my barbells and weights while not applying the 450 plus pounds to the 3 studs in my basement closet. This is a very load friendly cost effective way to mount barbells and weights to wall.
    What you will need:
    2x4 cut to 52inches in length
    Iron pipe shelf brackets bought from Amazon (See Link Below):

    High shear strength screws used:
    amzn.to/3wkj6Hd
    Center braces for each support 2x4. Each at a length of 1.75” and an 4 degree angle cut to allow for flush mount when support 2x4 leans on wall.

      Hey Brainiac what's the shear strength of the screws you used to screw in to the 2x4.... It doesn't matter how much the steel can hold. It's matters how much the screws can handle before failure.
