@@DanielKraemerMusic Hey Daniel, thanks for your reply……I wanna learn more about the frequencies, where they sit good in a band mix & in a studio, maybe a dry overdrive sound for for chords/rhythms then a wet sound for soloing with nice delay & reverb, same with distortion settings & clean setting s……some good modulation settings also……the Voodu is a great unit but seems to be overly tweaked from the factory!! Anything will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your tutorials!! 😊🎸
I own the Digitech 2120 artist it is another preamp similar to the Rocktron Prophecy. Basically from what I understand of the Prophecy it’s the (piranha & intellifex) combined into one unit. the prophecy has one 12ax7 -Thank you Daniel another good informative video.
You're welcome! The Prophesy, VooDu Valve and the Chameleon have more or less the same effects as the Intellifex (with some minor differences). But the Prophesy preamp is quite another thing, than the Prianha. the Prophesy has these four channels, as the Piranha has only three, and the EQs are different. To me, all thes units can sound great. The Piranha is a little bit more direct sounding to me. Could be subjective. But it's also the least flexible of these all... Just my opinion. Maybe I will do some more videos with these units now 😄😉
Yes, (Yep Yep) Jim Chowning is correct it only has one 12ax7. Check out a video on youtube by D-lab Electronics called How to replace defective encoders Rocktron Prophesy electric guitar rack effect preamp.
Thanks mate, I feel like these settings are acting like a sonic BBE for me. It's nice to have a better understand of how it works. Finally, I understood that my awful sound on direct output was due to the amp level on 10. I'll give a try on a real big PA but I think it won't be as good as pre-process the signal through my torpedo live (which is fine with 2 decades of evolution !). BTW I see you also have a GSP1101. In a battle with the prophesy, who wins ? :)

Jim Chowning told me only difference between the original and version II is the preset chip. I.E. one 12ax7

With digital amps [100% didital conversion] the eq only matters for about 50% maybe even less
GE is Gloabl EQ - same for all presets.
