    Are you going to show them Pulp Fiction now? If you do, be sure to tell them before it starts that it is the same director, and he uses a similar storytelling style to this, showing parts of the story in a different order. If they enjoyed this I believe they will get a kick out of Pulp Fiction for sure.

    She wasnt shot with a bullet, but with a shotgun cartridge loaded with coarse salt.
    Similar to being shot with the little pellets of a birdshot caliber, but the salt of course dissolves in the body over time.
    But is said to be quiet painful (like salt in an open wound) and you cant wash it away since its under the skin.
    Could be a reference to an old Western movie with Burt Lancaster "Valdez is Coming".

      Since rock salt doesn’t have much penetration power, she would have been in good shape if she had her jacket closed. Underestimated Budd, and thought she had the jump on him. Tsk tsk, Beatrix. To be fair, Budd probably always came across as the less bright brother, but I think he played it up more than was really true.

      They need to see Der Untergang (or Downfall) 2004 before they see Inglorious Bastards. Inglorius Bastards is very good, but also a historical fantasy while Der Untergang accurately displays Hitler's final moments.

    Raeen: 'There was more action in the first, but because of the conversations that were happening is felt like p2 reached a higher level'. Yes, absolutely!!! Of course p1 & p2 a halfs of a whole, but the p2 is the better half. Im glad that they were able to enjoy this one more. Plus the whole Paula shultz , Pai Mei , and awesome Elle Driver fight scene. That Enio Morricone music is just amazing af.

      Vol. 2 is what got me a lifelong passion for good storytelling.
      After the first one, everyone expected this one to be bigger and crazier fights to top the Crazy 88 sequence; as a kid watching this (yeah, my parents were like that) it blew my mind how this movie at every turn DIDN'T do the big obvious thing but instead has things go sideways and turn into a surprising conversation, and it's SO MUCH MORE riveting than the one with more action and danger.

    This one was way better than he first for me. It was more story, character, and dialogue driven than Vol 1. Fact: Samuel L Jackson's character here is the same character he played in Pulp Fiction. Jules walked the Earth and God finally had him where he wanted him to be. Don't think Bill bought Elle's story about the Mamba. Bill's stance on Superman is wrong, too. Clark Kent isn't a critique of the human race. He represents his desire to be a part of it.

    • @0okamino
      @0okamino 2 месяца назад +2

      Bill is too much of a cynical villain to really understand Superman. Born Kal-El, raised to be Clark Kent, and became Superman.

    • @samwallaceart288
      @samwallaceart288 2 месяца назад +1

      His name is Clark. He didn't know the name Kal-El til he was in his 20s. The Kents are the ones who raised him and made him the good humble man he is today.
      With all the crazy powers and tyrants and trading lives at the altar of ego, what separates Superman from the mythic beings he defends us against is he has the heart of a regular man.
      It's no accident that the second writers forget to honor Clark Kent as the heroic one, "Superman" becomes just another asshole with powers.

      Really ? I feel he's like a kid with no understanding. Same with Babu, he talks rubbish constantly and everything he wants to happen is stuff you don't want to happen. And a lot of the time he praises the bad people. Like Nazis and so on gets told kill people. A lot of it comes from not being told shit, but I always thought that the basic things that make us human is in us all, but none of these guys seem to have it apart from Saru, who can sometimes surprise me with getting something even if he says things in an immature way... I guess it makes you appreciate being in the right country to get an education. But how much of it is actually school and how much is you ? A question I've asked myself several times.

    I really do wish they would pay more attention to dialogue, they didn't hear the end of volume 1 when it was revealed her child survived, they didn't hear that the baby is Bill's and they didn't hear him say (twice) that he shot her with rock salt and not bullets or shells, they somehow didn't even know that Bill had to walk 5 steps before his heart exploded despite it being the lieral name of the move which I know they heard at least twice because of how they reacted when she did it.
    They'd get so much more out of these films, particularly Tarantino movies where the dialogue is probably at least as important as the action.
    Oh, and, if there is ever a woman who does not need to "get married soon," it's Beatrix Kiddo. And it was a bit disappointing that at the end they spent more time talking about Bill than they did her until Babu steered them right, although i believe Raeen when he said he would have got to that too.
    Glad they still managed to appreciate this amazing piece of cinema, I'd love to hear how faithful the dubbing is to the dialogue, I assume most of the more harsh language will be cut out but i hope and presume the actual meaning remains. It's so funny watching Sarru and Raeen sort of roll their eyes at some of Babu's ways, just like any younger generation does sometimes with elders
