I cant stand any of that reality TV stuff (and in reality, scripted) I was tired of it 15 years ago.
Not to mention all the informative cooking programs have moved to youtube anyway. A person would learn more about actual cooking technique watching a couple Adam Ragusea/Kenji Lopez videos than they would watching a month worth of Food Network programming. Plus I feel better knowing my ad revenue is going directly to the independent creator rather than filtered through the cable service provider, the network and its execs, the producers and the shareholders before finally trickling down to the actual people making the damn show in front of and directly behind the camera.

I used to love watching Cooking Live years ago. I have so many recipes I wrote down in a notebook from watching that show. I loved when she would get her produce baskets and make up an impromptu menu from them. Those were the good old days when I had food network on all the time. Its all garbage now - havent watched it in years.

I used to watch Sara Moulton. She was very relatable, unlike most who are on Food Network now.

Yes, the networks are looking for big personalities. To our detriment. We'll never get another Bob Ross.

Haven't watched it in years. Their content went to hell. Who watches a food network for reality dreck.

Food Network is primarily entertainment and cooking contests which are fun.
For real cooking instructions and learning I turn to PBS shows like Sara Moulton's. Sara's EXCELLENT ❤

Sara Moulton, Julia Childs, Jacques Pépin, Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis... are just a few who belong on the Top 10 list of individuals who have presented method cooking segments on FN. I won't say who does not belong on the list because that list would be WAY too long. There have only been a few "true greats" in Food Network history.
