Fr Peter I am so grateful for you. In my parish we are often told about certain practices “that is a little t tradition” which always seems to mean “it doesn’t matter that much”. It seems like these things did matter very much to the saints!

I love Saint Paisios. Reading Athonite Father and Athonite Matters, and his reverence is obvious in that book.
One thing I am dealing with now Father is my fiance has become Catechised and I praise God for this but it’s also terrifying. I wonder how much she did it for me, or for Christ? Please pray for us, lowly sinners. ☦️🙏🏻

Father bless, how does fasting before presanctified liturgy work for foods and waters if its in the evening at 6?
It is important to ask your spiritual father this as fasting rules can vary. One common practice is no food for 8 hrs and no drinking 6 hrs before Communion, but do what your spiritual father advises.

In fairness to those who would criticize traditional humility, I would like to ask what your view of the human form. Should anyone ever be encouraged to hide the shape of the body God gave them? Is there a fair reason for the pain of pride we hear in others on this issue with spiritual health and body image?
