Activision being special as per usual. Although it seems they add things in now for the cool factor rather than try to be somewhat realistic. Shame as they could make their own weapons to fill in gaps and give them a little background story if they really wanted an older version of a newer weapon slotted in. But then it is Black ops which has been quite anarchistic with its weapons (BO1 had several that weren't made until the 2000's for example).

There were weapons in Black Ops: Cold War (set in between 1981-1984/5) that weren't manufactured until the 2010s, like the Famas Valorise (or just FAMAS) that was in the game since launch or the lever-action shotgun from season 6, that wasn't made until 2017. Plus the abhorrent choices in vanguard to have guns from the 50s and beyond, a F2000 assult rifle that wasn't developed until the late 90s, and a laser gun from Advanced Warfare. We just kind of since 2013 have been admitting to ourselves that the days of a COD title that is at least somewhat realistic and grounded with the times are far gone, these days the guns are just added for the cool factor, no matter if they were made 20 years later or not.

I was excited for the Ultimax until i tried it out and its an ultimax in looks only. No proprietary 100 round drum, and no constant recoil system. The one time they could add a virtually recoilless dlc weapon and it be true to life and they didnt. At least it has the Tommy gun looking foregrips

I do find the PPSH-41’s inclusion to be a bit odd, looking back at Cold War it was 43 years old and now with BO6 is like around 50 years old. Just a tidbit that I had when I saw the key art. Great vid though

FYI Feng 82 is based from Ultimax 100 in real-life. This Assault rifle and LMG is known for it's accuracy and smooth recoil, considered the best recoil in the world. Why this game ruining this LMG performance?
