Hey, one of the devs here! Thanks for playing and showcasing our game! A lot of love and -tears- care went into every inch of it. There's so much to do and explore I hope those who see this try it out for themselves. I spent months on that final super secret boss so everyone has to play it to get to that sorry I don't make the rules! Love the content and thanks again!
I haven't played very many Zelda hacks, but this is absolutely the best one I've played, I did everything in it! Except get the young deku npc, it never showed up for some reason, but I don't think that's too important. Either way, great hack, I love the new items and the item upgrades, the new enemies, the npcs, the new map, the music, all of it. I might go back and play it on difficult or mirror mode at some point.
I love how in the Phantom Ganon rematch, you fight him in the place depicted by the picture frames and the paintings are of the arena you originally fought him in.
My hunch with Ganondorf not changing like the other bosses is that this romhack is supposed to take place in the defeated timeline, so that is probably why the devs stayed with the vanilla Ganon which would make sense. Great romhack nonetheless.
Yeah Master Shiba spells it out, Ganon killed Link which is why his fight is unchanged. The other bosses are spirits of the dead seeking revenge, Ganon is a memory.
The Missing Link is a ROMhack that takes place in the child timeline. Master of Time is a ROMhack that takes place in the adult timeline. This ROMhack takes place in the fallen hero timeline.
Is it? Just played the intro. These events are happening before the Link made it to Ganon's Castle with all the Medallions and got lost in the Lost Woods
The twist this takes place in the Fallen Hero timeline is awesome! Already put in several hours myself, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely a romhack I'll return to yearly to replay through. 10/10
I think another cool change would be to remove the old man's axe until he shows up at the very end. I pretty much assumed from the very start that he would be the final guy simply because he had that HUGE axe on his back. Remove that, and it'll be a bigger surprise at the end when he shows up WITH the axe and you're like "wait a minute...he's got a WEAPON!? Uh oh..."
It is absolutely hilarious to me that Zelda speed runners are always bad at actually playing the game normally. The only thing they have down solidly for muscle memory is the glitches and barely enough enough knowledge of the base game to play in between sections 😂
Lol I noticed that with a huge portion of speed runners also. Most are really good a cheese strats and glitches but when it comes to combat like USING A DAMN SHIELD lol, actually upgrading instead of just rushing through to beat the game, and anything new that they haven't practiced hundreds of times like puzzles or new enemies they struggle so much lol. I still give props for playing though and no disrespect to MajinPhil in anyway, it is just funny to see.
I’ve just recently started getting into your content and I absolutely love every video! I’m not much of a speed runner or anything but you inspired me to start trying new things with OOT and MM. Thank you for the content!
Seriously thought that hybrid tunic was awesome when I first started this. Loving your content, it introduced me to the Zelda rando scene, which has certainly provided me with a lot of fun.
Is there... A particular reason why he didn't use the targeting lock against some things for the clawshot and bow? Or not use the shield as much as he should have?
Or why he constantly did almost nothing but jump attacks which are slower and committal and got him killed multiple times and yet he never learned to just stop doing it.
Getting three quarters of the way through a roguelite run and the Grim Bipper shows up out of nowhere was nuts. The next original miniboss was also, uh, something. I'm only halfway through watching this, so no doubt there's going to be something else that blows me away. Fantastic hack, just wish there was a de-Rogue'd version with real checkpoints and multiple opportunities to buy/gain items. The marathon format is quite intimidating. (Also, I appreciate this mod for pretty much fulfilling my theory that Zelda tends to have better combat than most realize.)
Man that was sick I just wanted to see your reaction to more of the cool stuff in the hack like the mushroom minigame, the little npc stories and the arena
The music is so amazing in this mod! I wish you’d shown off more of the amazing lore, like the catacombs and the sidequests. They were my favorite parts, I found the combat a bit repetitive. Great mod all the same though!
Fun Playthrough to watch and thanks for showing the game. How come you didn't use the best sword after buying it near the end until Phantom Ganon? Or use the shield barely at all when it could have saved you many times? I know it is a heavily clipped video so most wasn't shown, just noticed that during the clipped video it was barely used.
Is that Twilight Hyrule music early on? Mmm, gotta love a nod to Twilight Princess. The freakin' sky and animations... Peak. Creepy as hell at times... But peak.
I just finished this mod and it was phenomenal. Im sad i beat it all and im glad you played it! Thanks for showing it off so more people get to try this masterpiece.
I downloaded the patch and the bosses really aren't bad at all, King Dodongo is pretty interesting actually. This guy only knows base OoT, and probably doesn't play many videogames outside of it.
I just beat this mod earlier today. Sadly it seems the patch of the mod I used was broken. After hitting the final blow on the final boss instead of playing the ending cutscene and credits it popped up with a wall of code saying "missing floating point" and "unimplemented". Sucks but looking it up that was the end.
Phils youtube voice is so different from his twitch voice 😂 liking and commenting for the algo Phil❤ is the stronghold just purgatory? This seems like the fallen timeline
i wish my n64 controller for my pc could let me spin to win that easily lol, ive been working on this on the hardest difficulty and with how jank spin attack is with my controller it actually makes this rom hack difficult I also saw that project 64 makes this harder? how so if anyone knows ISG axe on final boss was hilarious, giving speed runners a taste of their own medicine using that glitch hahaha

It looks quite fun! I'll be trying it in my free time. :D
you all did such an amazing job! Just the music alone is a triumph!
Also, the lore, items and characters are amazing and so well fleshed out.
This was a masterpiece, thank you

19:15 "like what are you supposed to do?"
It's almost like Link has a shield or something
My hunch with Ganondorf not changing like the other bosses is that this romhack is supposed to take place in the defeated timeline, so that is probably why the devs stayed with the vanilla Ganon which would make sense. Great romhack nonetheless.
Yeah Master Shiba spells it out, Ganon killed Link which is why his fight is unchanged. The other bosses are spirits of the dead seeking revenge, Ganon is a memory.
Yeah they kinda just say that in the romhack
Majinphil you made me start speed running games like Majora's mask.
0:14 _3 Hearts. Some defense, offense, _*_AND A DREAM._*
Didn’t expect _that_ to happen. *Thanks!*
This hack rom is a love letter to all ocarina fans. I just love it
The Missing Link is a ROMhack that takes place in the child timeline. Master of Time is a ROMhack that takes place in the adult timeline.
This ROMhack takes place in the fallen hero timeline.
Master of Time also plays in the Child Timeline ☝🏻
@syeo501
God, i just love this community.

18:50 Such a nostalgic line. If it wasn't the dead of night, I'd have burst out laughing!
The twist this takes place in the Fallen Hero timeline is awesome! Already put in several hours myself, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely a romhack I'll return to yearly to replay through. 10/10
Thanks for playing! It was a blast watching you play during stream.
If you guys have a suggestion for the next version, please let me know

I finished this rom hack not too long ago, and it's truly peak. So glad you got to play it.
It’s so polished
"What the fuck is this" "What the fuck is that thing?"
While Navi is just...offering all the answers to you.
1:06:40 it looks like he has the infinite sword glitch trailing animation here. That is probably why it keeps hitting you.
Knowing this boss, it's probably not a glitch in his case. He's just that powerful he knows how to do ISG himself.
Always happy to see an upload from you Phil
That final boss is *definitely* inspired by Godfrey/Hoarah Loux from Elden Ring lol - some of his attacks are similar to Godfrey's even haha
I’ve just recently started getting into your content and I absolutely love every video! I’m not much of a speed runner or anything but you inspired me to start trying new things with OOT and MM. Thank you for the content!
Tysm!
Shiba's axe has ISG properties applied to it. That's why it was always active/hitting.
Seriously thought that hybrid tunic was awesome when I first started this.

I noticed the same thing. But then at 38:40, he implied that Z-targeting wasn't working very well
@@bio0linkHe's far from good at the game, but I kinda feel like watching ZFG for so long has kinda spoiled me on how the "casual" player plays this
Skill issue?
Was the Razor Longsword stronger than Hatch's Sword? And does the Rainbow Tunic not protect from heat or drowning?
It looks like his axe hitbox is literally always active as long as its in his hand lmao, I think he figured out how to do ISG
IAG infinite axe glitch
@MajinPhil
"IAG" is also the sound link makes when he gets hit.
Phils ability to say "ok", after every boss fight is pretty ok :)
I always love the way these videos are edited, they never fail to make me laugh at the most random times. great shit as always!

This is actually peak zelda content ngl. Gotta be one of the most underrated channels on RUclips. But hey, home stretch baby! Let's get that 100k!
when asylum demon appeared that broke me LMAO, and phil is just like, IS THAT A SOULS BOSS?!?!
Man that was sick I just wanted to see your reaction to more of the cool stuff in the hack like the mushroom minigame, the little npc stories and the arena
enemy at 29:31 i believe is a "pol's voice" from one of the 8-bit zeldas
Yeah it's from the first game. Fun fact. You could kill them in the famicom version by screaming into the controller
@@nuketwins4040 i remember hearing bout that lol
This is like the Trial of ordeals from twilight princess, pretty neat!
bro forgot how to actually play he's been speedrunning so long

51:30 Blood Omen 2 Final Boss Vibes☠️
Can we get this man to 100k already?
Truly a phenomenal romhack, played by my favorite Zelda content creator. Gotta say, been looking forward to this
My absolute favorite rom hack
Pol's Voice?! Guess I'll get my Hey You, Pikachu mic to shout at it.
this would be really cool on the 3DS version. I'd wait to play this for a 3ds version someday.
This was an experience... Damn.
Nintendo, take notes.
bro literally cried at the end, that's how good it was.
YOOOOO I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD PLAY THIS PHIL LETS GOOOOOO
phil upload day is my favorite day
choonchies
You can stun Phantom Ganon with the Boomerang in vanilla OoT.
It's the Savage Labyrinth from Wind Waker but on steroids.
Is that Twilight Hyrule music early on? Mmm, gotta love a nod to Twilight Princess. The freakin' sky and animations... Peak. Creepy as hell at times... But peak.
29:30 I came here to tell you that looks like a haunted Furby, but I saw another comment saying it is a Pol's Voice, which I forgot about.
I just finished this mod and it was phenomenal. Im sad i beat it all and im glad you played it! Thanks for showing it off so more people get to try this masterpiece.
The music from this hack is so sick. Absolutely love it.
This is a peak in oot romhacking, I recommend you to play Indigo chapter 2 too
cant wait for the 100k MM rando

We got funky and made a zelda oot rendition of an dark souls boss

The devs put out an update that fixes this crash. You're probably still on an older version, it seems.
finally Phil knows what True Arena feels like in Planet Robobot and Triple Deluxe
Thanks for playing Ultimate Trial, Ive watched your streams whenever I could 🔥
im yelling at the screen use the boomerang against phantom gannondorf
Tysm for this new video, have a nice day

29:51 "or will Will the Smith smith Will's will to smith?"
Was that a Pols voice rabbit dude with teeth at the bottom lol that tripped me out
Swear the theme that's playing is a toy box version of Six's Theme from Little Nightmares they just sound so similar.
8:34 Nice edit XD
What's next? Ultimate Trial Randomizer?
These OOT mods are getting insane nowadays
This was a awesome playthru to watch livr
cant believe master roshi was hylia's emissary bro😂
would be nice if they made it for SoH
good video now time to actually watch it
Why does it look so smooth compare to what I'm playing on
Hey Phil, just came here to say, have an incredible rest of your day man(: P:S your my favorite youtuber(:
ANOTHER PHIL BANGER LETS GO
i can see how dark cloud had this.
Correction on the title of the video based on the starting of it. It's a rougeLITE which is __not a rougelike__.
The final boss is the old man.
I would buy This for 60$ instead of todays Games
is it some settings or additional mods or something that makes the game look cleaner or more modern? I want to get mine to look this crisp. lol
There's not a download link?
Imma play this as soon as i can.
Phils youtube voice is so different from his twitch voice 😂 liking and commenting for the algo Phil❤ is the stronghold just purgatory? This seems like the fallen timeline
Holy damn this looks unreal. OOT is in my top 3 games ever.
Dude, I gotta try this thing
Well this looks interesting. I just might have to try it
Hi Phil, when you cant beat a randomizer and tell the chat to tell you where the things is, how they do that? How they know where the items are?
Nooo phil dont link the mod, nintendo will murder you!
Rainbow tunic is 🔥
Reminds me of the dungeon trials from TP
Man, everythings a rouguelike now, is there going to be a tomodachi rouguelike?
Use Deku Nuts for the bats
If it was legal I'd tell the dev team to take my money.
1:08:44 jank boteko ❤ didi?

Can we have the Link?
i wish my n64 controller for my pc could let me spin to win that easily lol, ive been working on this on the hardest difficulty and with how jank spin attack is with my controller it actually makes this rom hack difficult
I also saw that project 64 makes this harder? how so if anyone knows
ISG axe on final boss was hilarious, giving speed runners a taste of their own medicine using that glitch hahaha
