Good thing with WW you can have strip clubs in TS4 lol.
That's because EA decided they wanted it to be more kid friendly. I always said if they wanted to do that they should have done a Sims Junior edition and not kill our edition. It started with the watering down of romantic interactions like woohoo and makeouts. But hey who am I, I'm just a long time player, what do I know.

It's my belief that the house rating page is most likely a relic of the game's original concept. The Sims was originally conceived as an architecture simulator, with the Sims only being present to rate your builds. It was later reworked into a life simulator after they realized that the Sims were more interesting than the building. Another likely relic of this is the autonomous "What's This?" interaction, where Sims react to things you buy if free will is on.

Oh I never thought about that! I always thought the “What’s this?” interaction was so random and useless as a kid. 😂 I never thought to consider that maybe it’s a left over mechanic from the original game design!

Yup! Bad parties get the mime, next level up was the dropinsky people, that's their last name, and the female one has a very unique look. And a smashing party gets Drew Carey. Funny thing is since parties don't have a time limit here, except ofc 1am when people leave, you can have all the npc guests at the same party.
FINALLY! Somebody else said it! I am sick to death of "baby's first Sim" I want the non-family friendly Sims back!

They should have totally brought back the vibrating heart bed. Or any of the Superstar objects, that were really cool. Screw a 20th anniversary hot tub, they should've done this.

House party is such a wildcard EP, and they do have a lot of nice stuff for Sims to have fun. Looking back it is so bizarre to get Drew Carey to come to my house for a good party!

when you do the house party, always make sure to hire the caterer, and make sure you have a DJ, plus a large dance floor, lots of things to do even if one of them is the bubble blower, a cake to eat, preferably a birthday party or a wedding. always have a celebration of some sort. make a pool. have somewhere to watch tv. lots of bathrooms available, maybe a shower or 2. if the mime or the clown shows up you messed up. you want Drew Carey to show up, then you know your party is off the chain.
You just need to call a party multiple times and Drew will arrive 100%. There is no real party quality meter in Sims 1.
You always have me laughing so hard I feel sorry for my neighbors. The chaos and pure enjoyment is brilliant. I have watched so many videos that I have def caught myself saying “the sims 4 could never” often 😭
Hi Satch…I just wanted to say I enjoy your content and personality so much. You’re one of the only RUclipsrs that I think would be entertaining and enjoyable to watch making videos about anything because of your personality. I hope you can make videos about other things you love like baking/cooking (vegan versions of sims recipes maybe?) and also branch out to other content like animal crossing or whatever you want!

You’ve gotta play Superstar and throw a house party because Drew Carey might show up. I remember when that happened to me back in the day and I was so excited and literally no one cared. But it was a hard earned accomplishment. Would love to see what it takes in retrospect!

Discovered these videos today and just wasted 2hrs of my life watching the videos. Absolutely hilarious! I need to dig out my old laptop and play.
Love this! Loving the Sims 1 content. One of my favorite items in this pack (especially on the Free Sims Online) is the costume trunk. All the theme parties and the tongue-in-cheek party items! House parties felt like proper events in Sims 1.
I love these parties. Just keep using Throw Party over and over, you really can have a huge bash. Sims 1 left it to the player to decide the size of the party. And you can use throw party again later, before the first one has really ended, and just keep going with a fresh set of Sims. I build my game's house with these crowds in mind. I wouldn't even call it a house, not like Sims 1 has weather. My Sims live outside.
I loved Sims 1 and parties were damn hard. I'm at the point where you are ready to start the party. I'm wondering how long before everyone is jammed into your one bathroom. LOL I'm remembering porta potties and I think I always had at least one at a party.
Edit: I knew the mime would show up. LOL I threw one over the top party that I remember and with Superstar when the party was a success Drew Carey would show up in a limo. I hired a couple maids and had a butler, plus the caterer and the party lasted forever and clean up took days. It was thoroughly insane. The original Sims was quite risque. I seem to remember having a magic Sims turn their pet cat into a house boy. Oops...

But you don't need all of these things. Parties in Sims 1 are actually easier and more fun than in other Sims, cause you can have 15 Sims immediately on the lot and you don't need to do anything. You CAN of course, if you want Sims to have fun, but that's not mandatory at all. You can have a good party with just 1 outside fireplace and burgers.
And yeah, first Sims were the best. So much humor and fun animations. Sims 4 is like stripped down version for kids.
Idk if you have merch or plan on it. But if you do, PLEASE make a shirt that says "The sims 4 could never" youve said that so much, that its like your catch phrase now lol

I would like to request that you make a video of sims 4 using just the Screen Recorder camera that comes with it. I tried it, and it takes out all the clutter the whims and such, so you still do your right click menus, but they will not show up. Try it, and see what a good movie like take you can do. also, you can still control the walls and such. Thanks. Terry
