      I just hope they use the new symphonic orchestrations(which are based on the orchestrations by Don Sebesky from the 1998 Broadway production) for this concert(like the 2015 concert with Jeremy Jordan as Leo). With a cast this size(even without a choir backing them like in the 2015 Concert), it feels too good a combo(large ensemble, large sweeping orchestrations) to pass up, even if they don't develop a Cast album for this(which I WISH they would)!

    Platt acting is repeated wz Evans charactors all the time. The eye squeez, the hand gesture. Actors should be able to portrait more than 1 charactors and not simply stick to the same acting choice of their previous role.

    • @kylenebrender8611
      @kylenebrender8611 Год назад +11

      I actually disagree. I saw Ben Platt before DEH and his eye closing is something he often does himself. So that was exaggerated in DEH. And he does it here some. But his posture and carriage is so much different here than as Evan. You can see the difference in his hand gestures, posture, and other movements. You can see the small things Ben does as himself here, but his physicality is definitely different than Evan. Perhaps he should work on more control over those things, but the presence of them doesn't mean he is playing Leo Frank as Evan. Not trying to have internet arguments. Just trying to show a different perspective!
