Gargoyles was one of those animated shows that was more than a cartoon. Each character had a intricate back story. It wasn't just ha ha's either there was some real deep pain in their stories. When it was originally released I wasn't much into that kind of thing. However I was introduced to it later and I was instantly hooked. The stories were well done, the characters again were deep and interesting, and the animation was really good as well. As a kid my favorite cartoons were The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Speed Racer, but my #1 favorite was and still is the Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner Show. As a kid I also used to love the Superfriends. Now that I "grew up" I still love animated shows, cartoons, and some anime. I love to sketch, draw, etc so animation is fascinating to me. Movies like Toy Story, Cars, A Bug's Life, etc are all interesting to me but also extremely entertaining. Gargoyles fell into place as a really great show. I honestly don't remember ever seeing this game. Probably because it wasn't one of my interests at the time. Oh I forgot about Garfield, that was another great cartoon!
Thanks for sharing this game with us. I had a LOT of Sega Genesis, Master System, Nintendo NES, and Super-NES games, but I don't remember this one. As I said in my other comment, it's probably because I didn't really know much about Gargoyles at the time. However now many many many (UGH!) years later, I was introduced to this show and I loved it, so this is definitely one I'd love to find for my Retro Gaming Room. Thanks again!
During Disney D23 in 2022, an announcement trailer for a remastered version was released. At this time, no information was shown other than that it is currently being made.
🎮 Comment Yes, this show actually had a video game. And it looks really nice with smooth animations. The gameplay though could be better. It is not possible to beat many enemies without getting damage. So in the end avoiding them is the better option since you simply don't have enough health to clear a level.

I loved the cartoon as a kid. I didn't know they made a game, so cool.

Played this game as a teen. One of the hardest games I’ve played with no Game Genie codes to beat it but did use a cheat code for Stage Select.

the music for level 1 evil awakens was re-performed with a full orchestra for medal of honor on the ps1 in the level "radar train"! pretty cool!
