I dunno man, I think it's an advanced technique. His hands aren't moving and the objects move in a perfect circle and high speed, that would take a lot of control.

Just realized that Ikki remaining civil when shes been arrested is JUST like when Aang got put in jail. They even have the same gag where they just casually get out of their detainment like they could've escaped the whole time.

The music when Korra bends the poison out is perfect in my opinion.
In all fairness, Korra is asking Toph, who couldn't see a damn thing, what happened the day of the eclipse. She is saying exactly what she felt happened that day. "It was hot and I think a giant turtle showed up."
BTW Ikki's "imprisonment" is very similar to Aang's "imprisonment" in "Avatar Day"
This is a decent one. I particularly love Toph and Korra in this episode. Instead of being mean and rude towards Korra, she listens to her perspective. Calming her down, giving her that tough love but also giving her some really good advice. And when Korra succeeds in getting the poison out, she congratulates her. That’s the Toph I love. She’s understanding and open, while also being brutally honest and tough. She knows when people are trying and she gives them a chance.
In the previous episode, she “helped” Korra without really helping her at all. She said things to her that were completely false, such as “the world doesn’t need [the Avatar]” or that Korra actually “wanted the poison to stay in”. This episode makes much better use of her teaching abilities.
She verbalised Korra's unconscious hesitation.

I really don’t understand why some people say The Legend of Korra is bad. If they thinks it’s not as good has ATLA then I would understand. But saying it’s just bad is just ridiculous. They’re probably just to nostalgic about the original show, right?

Agreed! I also get nostalgic watching TLoK. it doesn't compare to ATLA nostalgia but this show is pretty epic. Getting used to the city scene and meeting old favourites in book 1, meeting avatar Wan in book 2.. the red lotus... this show is great! :)
The only bad thing about korra is Mako and the boring 1st half is book 2
Any ‘flaws’ that this show has is probably because Nickelodeon was interfering way too much in things and should of just let Mike and Brian and their team just do their own thing. Seriously, because of them the series recap had to be a clip show episode.
They have a problem with a strong woman being the main character and also ignore the massive development trouble Nickelodeon gave the team throughout the entire run of the show.
I love how in ATLA the vines were tied up Appa and it was like "no, wtf, get out of there" and now Oogie is tied up and you guys get all "YEAH! good job swamp" 😆
I never realized that Aang faced the same problem Korra had with the Avatar State. I can gather that the Avatar State can be inhibited if the Avatar is suffering from severe physical (and I bet also mental) illnesses. Aang couldn't go into the Avatar State because of the spinal trauma from the lightning and was in the process of recovering from death. Korra couldn't go into the Avatar State because of the residual poison stuck in her body as well as the major PTSD she suffered after fighting Zaheer. The rules of the Avatar is so complex. And I love that the show allows us to hypothesize rather than telling us outright.
This episode finally showcases how Ikki inherited Aang’s diplomacy and reasoning ability which isnt as evident as other Aang’s traits (Jinora’s spirituality and Meelo’s funny/childish humor)
Remeber what guru pathik said, "the earth chakra is located at the base of the spine, it deals with survival and is blocked by fear." all chakras must be open to access the avatar state

Something just occurred to me. Back in season 2, Tenzin said the roots of the Tree of Time in the spirit world is said to bind the two worlds together. Then we have the Banyan Grove Tree in the swamp, which is super spiritually active and whose roots Toph says reaches to all over the world. Could the swamp be where the roots of the Tree of Time reach into the human world, and the Banyan Grove Tree grew from them, in turn creating the spiritually active swamp? It would make sense with the swamp being able to show people past and future visions back in ATLA, and Huu did tell Aang that one of the things he came to understand while sitting under the Banyan tree was that "time is an illusion."
I freaking love Toph.
When you realize that when Toph told Korra an episode or two ago that she could “see” Lin and Suyin that she actually meant it by spirit bending the vines the way she taught Korra to see Jinora and the kids. 😭
These episodes were so good, it helped me a lot dealing with some stuff. I love tlok for introducing those kind of stuff and doing really well with it. Korra putting herself down without realizing? Korra putting herself away from the people she love cause she wants to be better and then crying when realized she needed the the most? On point. God I love this show

1) Pass 36 tiers.
2) Pass an unspecified, yet sufficient amount of tiers and create a new technique.
I don't know what the tiers involve, but I doubt Milo has passed enough. Even with his creation of fartbending, he hasn't passed enough tiers to become a master.

@@bobharris6828 I saw rankings in which he's considered one of the best or even the best one, I saw how people compared him to religious fanatics. In the Internet era it's hard to tell what "most people" think, though I'm aware that Zaheer and Kuvira are generally considered the best.
Well,even on this channel, when I was explaining Unalaq's motivation somewhere in the comment section during season 2 and I got some "thumbs up" so I'm not alone ;)
Unalaq is misunderstood by many,because he's less human and more spirit-like than the other villains. Understanding of his actions requires changing perspective. "But all humans are gonna die!". Yes, but from his perspective it's just means to achieve the goal. And I understand why many people don't fully get it... and it's a shame.
Today is the N7 Day and Unalaq is actually kinda like the Reapers. Coincidence?
I like how maybe the drawing of Korra is a reference to Sokkas "drawing" of Appa XD
I love this episode. Ikki is my fave of the three and I loved that we got to see more of her. She is REALLY relatable to me (I'm middle child too but that's not the only reason lol). Also I love the Korra and Toph moments. " You can't expect to deal with future enemies if you're still fighting the old ones " and at the end " that fight is over, release the fear. " Really beautiful 🌟

I find it interesting that the Earth Kingdom had never really been fully united before. Ba Sing Se was sort of the defacto 'capitol' of the Earth Kingdom but other places, like Omashu, still had their own kings. So Kuvira is doing something that had never been done before.
I know its meant to be china but that was pretty much japan back in the day, one official emporor when there were in reality five different states and he had no real power. Not the same, just similar

That part literally annoyed me. Like the other are enjoying this deep, beautifu powerfull thing and he is asking the most trivial questions.
Mickey tends to do that a lot throughout most reactions. He asks a lot of obvious or unnecessary questions. I enjoy their reactions and they seem like fun people, but Mickey definitely isnt the sharpest tool in the shed.

Is that a problem? They have a lot react to, and almost all of them have full time jobs and live apart. With a show like Korra, where they're only 22 minutes, its easier to just bang out like 5 or 6 in one day and then not have to worry about making time every single week.

I'm glad you liked this episode. I actually found the beginning a little slow. It only got interesting for me at around the end and maybe when korra was talking to toph about her former enemies... But it's still a good episode... And the episode after this is good too!
The scene where Korra takes the poison out gives me chills! It trully is inpiring to take your future and your trauma and power through it
I must say korra can't go to the avatar state not only of the poison but she was afraid. To enter the avatar state you must let go and face your fear. Fear was blocking her chakra.
I felt so happy and emotional at the end of this episode

Toph's speech in this episode is one of my favorite lines in the whole Avatar series. Because that's the awesome thing about TLOK, the enemies in Korra aren't one dimensional like Ozai was, they were all kinda right, they even changed the world for the better, but like Toph said, they were all out of balance and that's why in the end they were considered villains.

But this episode didn't explained Jinora's Spirit Ball in Season 2 with Raava however it did showed it.
The Banyan Grove Tree aka The Swamp Tree is the reason why Jinora got Raava out of Vaatu in Season 2.
Remember Jinora telling Kai that she is an experience high level airbender with a bit of spirit on the side. Is because of The Banyan Grove Tree.
Jinora must of practice there or it's because the roots is all over the world and she was connected to it just because its everywhere. And I mean before in Season 1 like before Season 2 happened.
The Banyan Grove Tree expanded world wide and Jinora somehow absorb some of it or something. That's my guess.
