Micky. Messing up a mechanism inside the giant laser gun wouldn't do them any good. The engineers were literally scraping the inside mechanisms to find the faults. As for just bending the giant gun or crushing it and making it explode, they were trying to rescue the other Beifongs to begin with. They were being stealthy all this time and probably don't want attention drawn towards them because people will suddenly go on high alert if the giant laser gun was bent in half somehow or explodes.
That fight scene with su and kuvira was fire....especially su using the metal as an armour, just shows how diverse and creative she is with her bending

The spirits staying out of the battle is actually understandable. Kuvira wants to use the power of spirits to attack other humans, which is exactly what Korra's plan entails, to use spirits to attack other humans. This isn't their fight, just because someone learned to use their power. It's like asking the Water Tribe to go into battle simply because an opponent forces waterbenders to operate a water cannon that can demolish cities, that's terrible, but whoever said they had to be dragged into this? Metalbenders who can bend platinum is like jet fuel that can melt steel beams. Not possible.
EVERYTHING that spirit said was true. Think about it guys. After the big fight, what do you suppose Korra and (especially)Reiko would do for the spirits. Reiko would not do a damn thing. In his eyes the spirits would only be doing their DUTY defending the city. And Korra would what?? say thank you???? What good is thank you to a spirit?? NO! Thew spirit is 1000% right. Korra just wants more firepower to FIGHT Kuvira. And that's the problem. She's not asking the spirits for any kind of solution, she WANTS them to FIGHT. Some of them could even have a possible solution to the problem, but Korra doesn't care. She wants an army. Aang would have asked the spirits for a way to avoid fighting and THAT would have convinced them to help. I'm just saying, if Korra wasn't so violent and combative by nature..........
Aang was a man of his time suddenly facing the war(pressure and need to be more decisive and tough) but saved his visions and priorities which made his decisions hopeful and creative (in his case his open-minded nature) Korra was facing the legends and stories about war and why it's important to fight and be ready for anything also she was isolated and trained to be good avatar. Normal people at first didn't understand why Aang was 'too soft' to kill smn(that was his conflict), Korra is facing the same situation but in different condition( she isn't undestand by spirits and why she wants to use them) I mean it's no wonder why they both have different visions and ways of speaking or storing the problems. But also both Aang and Korra made mistakes and faced their circumstances(they were ashamed and terrified they were under pressure but with patience and time they saw the final result - the balance)
nah, that particular spirit is kiiind of a dick (read the comics) Korra was in the right, she wasn't asking them to attack but to help defend the city, if she truly didn't care she could've been more aggressive with them, hell she could actually ask Raava to talk to them, and have you been watching this season at all? Where has Korra been shown to be agressive and violent? the only people she has been hard on is tenzin, raiko and herself, because all of them lost their faith in her, combative by nature? yeah...remember how she confronted Kuvira in Zao Fu? She was the only one who was defending her being like, she saved my dad, she isn't so bad, and was going along with the truce until Su tried to attack Kuvira Korra has done more for the spirits than any previous avatar (yes including golden boy Aang) before her people didn't really respect the spirit as much as feared them, all the talk when the spirits were involved was about "don't do X thing because you will anger the spirits and they'll turn you into a tree or somethin' like that" now after Korra openned the portals people are finally trying to live together with the spirits, yeah it's going to be hard at first with both sides needing to adjust, humans are kinda ignorant to the way the spirits live, but spirits aren't perfect either (cough Wan Shi Tong cough) but it's a step in the right direction for both parties So yeah, screw that dragoon eel spirit, he a lil bitch
honestly the only person I could see using someone's armour against them would be Toph, because she has a greater range due to her blindness (you know, lack of one sense increasing the others). I don't see her doing something like that though, she fights honorably unless someone else is bending the rules.
Suraj's sheepish apology for him and Mickey giving Korra so much shit in the previous eps was pretty funny and then Nahid just rubbed it in even further hahaha, nice to see him savoring the moment and not get shut down for once.
I got the answers if you have the ATLA/Korra Questions. And to answer "why Zhu Li had the metal on her?" Bataar Jr. had been watchin her like a hawk. He built the Cannon and replicated Varrick's science to make it work. Her only chance to do anything where no one would see her, is the moments where she's helping rebuild the weapon. At that moment Kuvira and all the security is around. Right after that, is literally when launch was scheduled. Someone would have seen her tossing metal overboard. She wasn't counting on Kuvira babysitting the entire rebuild up to the launch. If Kuvira would have been observing from a distance (which was what she was hoping for), she would have been able to stall a little longer.
Now I understand why that long scene in which Bolin holds Wei and the twin pats him...it was because when they were training, he treated Bolin harshly since he couldn't bend metal that's why here he was grateful because he saved him.
I thought you would understand toph's reasoning. Goku had that same thought with Gohan right. Bad stuff will always happen in the world. If the old guard keeps bailing the young one's out of trouble then what would happen when they're gone. The new blood either need to grow or perish kinda thing.

Like the new studio, but I miss all the stuff. The shelves that were behind you and all the geek stuff, especially the cardboard TARDIS and GoT banners. I'd say you have some more decorating to do.
I agree with Toph when she said “you have to leave it to the kids”. As for Nahid’s question about if things get really really bad, toph and katara might step in. Just like the White lotus did during the 100 year war.
I. Th. I didn’t say that she has to. Not ever old person in atla was fighting in the war. I’m just saying that some of them (the masters) chose to involve themselves. I said that toph and katara MIGHT step in like Zuko for example. He didn’t have to fight zaheer. He could have just sent someone else
The metal bending school Toph mentions is a shout-out to the comics. I think it’s The Promise but I know it’s the same one where the Bendless Boomerang Club is founded lol
I love the fact that when Toph entered the fight Kuvira didn't fight back. She realized that as armed up as she is. As skilled as she is. As old as Toph is. Kuvira realized she stood no chance
Get well soon rana! Also micky, the gun you were thinking of is the "schwerer gustav" rail road gun. It too needed a double set of tracks and a small army to operate and was used by Germany during WW2. The showrunners really made Kuvira's "Earth Empire" very similar to the 3rd Reich. Those Nazi's allways were the best movie villains ...
As soon as i clicked the video I noticed something was off with Rana lol Glad you guys mentioned it because it would have bugged me for the entire video lol. I hope you're feeling better now Rana.
Omg I had orthodontic surgery back in like 2010 and had my jaw wired shut too and it was AWFUL. I know how bad it is. Hope you're doing much better now!
Toph may have been the most innovative earth bender as she created an entirely new sub-discipline. However, compared to King Bumi she did not age well. She can't fight like she used to. Bumi on the other hand was in excellent shape for someone who was 112 and his fighting ability was amazing.

Lmaoo I had a flashback from a different show 😅😖...if yk what I'm talking about
And she had a pregnancy scare from a dude named Hoenn.
Gonna catch them all !
Lmao “why’s he still holding onto him like that? I would have dropped him” relax dude men can touch each other. “no homo” much?

You are gay buddy.

Obviously this was recorded back earlier in your recovery but I still send well wishes because even wired shut there’s a clear difference in certain vids of how much you’re talking more. Continue you’re speedy recovery we want you at 100%
I like the group "Ooooooohhhh" when they fired the spirit Gustave. That's the exact reaction I had. "That's it? I was expecting a nuke or something all it did was..." (Sees hole blasted clear through a mountain side) "Ooohhh"
xD I remember before this aired, the fandom was _fucking_ nervous that someone was going to die, particularly Toph, due to the "never trust episode 10" rule
Honestly Mako should've died in my opinion woulda completed his arc real well.
Was there ever a thing with episodes 10? Man, how I never noticed?😂😂

the moment where bolin ask toph who lins dad was is a reference to the korra fandom because we wanted to know if it was soka the dad or not. So it was funny that she was just like "meh is just a random dude"
Lalo Cuellar
The random dude appeared in the comics tho
And we still dont’t know about Su’s dad
Ubsty Su is hella tanned too 👀.
@JustWaiwai Not that much but yeah, in comparison to Toph... I would be fine if it's never revealed who's her dad anyway :)
I just found The Normies a week ago after hearing Blindwave mention them a long time ago and I binged their reactions to all of the avatar episodes and I’m glad I made it up to date before they finished this series. The Normies have had some of the best reactions I’ve ever seen to this series and are inspiring me to watch this with my friends and family glad I found this channel and keep up the great work Normies 🤙🏽
Also well wishes to Rana hope you have a speedy recovery. I can only imagine how much a broken jaw must hurt. Get well soon 🙏🏽
Today is December 19th. Happy Korrasamiversary!

@@YoureRightIThink they ended it weeks ago
Like how Nahid understood and dropped some truth bombs.
Rana, how'd you break your jaw? Hope you feel better.
Also, you can really tell that Bumi and Iroh aged much better than Katara and Toph. The two guys could still throw down and be fine after.
Katara and Toph both grew old in a time of relative peace though yknow? Iroh and Bumi, both being White Lotus at the time of the Fire Nation's military expansion, must've had to stay fit and ready to contribute. Give the ladies some credit haha
Because of plot so the new characters can shine
Iroh wasn't really that old. He had a grown son, not grown grandchildren. Bumi was ancient.
@@streakermaximus Iroh was old enough to be a grandfather. His son would have sired some sons if not for his death.
streakermaximus bumi was 112 assuming he was 12 when aang was 12 at the time they met when they were kids
That last statement.
Was that referring to the 9/11 conspiracy theory?
“Toph love...” god I love you guys. :)
10:18 I mean, wouldn't we all keep holding on to him? 😌
😏😉
my thoughts exactly
When Toph said “sometimes you just have to leave it to the kids” just like when they were kids fighting the fire lord
I don’t know how Rana can look so damn beautiful despite being in the situation she currently is in.
Aang was a man of his time suddenly facing the war(pressure and need to be more decisive and tough) but saved his visions and priorities which made his decisions hopeful and creative (in his case his open-minded nature)
Korra was facing the legends and stories about war and why it's important to fight and be ready for anything also she was isolated and trained to be good avatar.
Normal people at first didn't understand why Aang was 'too soft' to kill smn(that was his conflict), Korra is facing the same situation but in different condition( she isn't undestand by spirits and why she wants to use them)
I mean it's no wonder why they both have different visions and ways of speaking or storing the problems.
She was the only one who was defending her being like, she saved my dad, she isn't so bad, and was going along with the truce until Su tried to attack Kuvira
Korra has done more for the spirits than any previous avatar (yes including golden boy Aang) before her people didn't really respect the spirit as much as feared them, all the talk when the spirits were involved was about "don't do X thing because you will anger the spirits and they'll turn you into a tree or somethin' like that" now after Korra openned the portals people are finally trying to live together with the spirits, yeah it's going to be hard at first with both sides needing to adjust, humans are kinda ignorant to the way the spirits live, but spirits aren't perfect either (cough Wan Shi Tong cough) but it's a step in the right direction for both parties
So yeah, screw that dragoon eel spirit, he a lil bitch
Bless you Rana for actually trying to see things from other characters perspectives!
honestly the only person I could see using someone's armour against them would be Toph, because she has a greater range due to her blindness (you know, lack of one sense increasing the others). I don't see her doing something like that though, she fights honorably unless someone else is bending the rules.
Comments: "Let Rana speak!"
*Breaks Jaw*
"LeT rAnA sPeAk!!!"
Suraj's sheepish apology for him and Mickey giving Korra so much shit in the previous eps was pretty funny and then Nahid just rubbed it in even further hahaha, nice to see him savoring the moment and not get shut down for once.
"TAKE BACK YOUR KINGDOM QUEEN!" I love rana lmaooo
15:15 the most badass move in the whole show
Now I understand why that long scene in which Bolin holds Wei and the twin pats him...it was because when they were training, he treated Bolin harshly since he couldn't bend metal that's why here he was grateful because he saved him.

I thought you would understand toph's reasoning. Goku had that same thought with Gohan right. Bad stuff will always happen in the world. If the old guard keeps bailing the young one's out of trouble then what would happen when they're gone. The new blood either need to grow or perish kinda thing.
everyone saying old toph would beat kuvira is bias as hell
old toph said my back hurts
my fighting days over
and that's why you don't see Katara fighting in the civil war.
toph ran away for a reason yall are bias toph fanboys.
what next yall think Old Katara could beat Unalaq or Ming Hua.
Also if yall read the comics Suyin had to save toph from Mako and Bolin.
And when Kuvira and Lin fought together with toph in the comics they all were equal in raw power.
Yall over wank toph so much like yall didn't see Yailing beat her and the Dai Lee almost beat her.
THE METAL BENDING ACADEMY IS IN THE ATLA COMICS AS WELL AS THE CREATION OF REPUBLIC CITY AND THE WHEREABOUTS OF ZUKO'S MOM
i don't know if you remember, but the sound of the cannon is the same sound effect they used for Vathu laser-spirit-thingy beam. check season 2 finale, the sound is literally the same!
Awww Broke Jaw 🤭🤭.... praying for a speedy recovery!!!
I love how Kuvira didn’t bother to try and fight Toph.
And that “leave it to the kids” part always bugged me. Remember Old People Camp?

Omg, I was about to cry because the end is nearing with only three episodes left but I think I saw you'll be reading and reacting to the comics and with the new live action in the works, I feel there's no need to be sad just yet :)
RANA MY QUEEN, FEEL BETTER 🙏

Sending you positive healing vibes Rana. Wishing you a speedy recovery. It'll get better and eventually back to normal.
The Beifongs are one awesome ass family. Toph did a great job with Su and Lin and that spread to all of Su's kids. I loved Bolin in this episode lol. It's like him and his future in-laws.
''you give metalbenders a bad name'' one of toph's most iconic lines!
Get well soon Rana, I love when she's vocal when watching these shows, nevertheless great reaction 😊
Toph : "How did you end up dating the kind Of dipstick who work for Kuvira?"
Mm Toph, One of your grandson plot the whole thing with kuvira and endgage with her!!!
This episode reminds me about the Boiling Rock episode.

Hey Rana! Hope you’re recovering well. It’s definitely not the same without your genuine reactions every time I see you guys! Be well and can’t wait to have you fully recovered :) happy holidays
Yash, The Gustav Cannon! I'm glad one of you had mentioned it! ^^
Like the new studio, but I miss all the stuff. The shelves that were behind you and all the geek stuff, especially the cardboard TARDIS and GoT banners.
I'd say you have some more decorating to do.
Guess you missed the part where they say the barrel is platinum which can't be bend
Oh damn Rana, I can't imagine how much a broken jaw must suck. I hope you will feel better really soon, I wish you the best!
No! Kuvira can easily beat old toph.
Original doesn’t mean the strongest especially at toph age
Get well soon rana!
Also micky, the gun you were thinking of is the "schwerer gustav" rail road gun. It too needed a double set of tracks and a small army to operate and was used by Germany during WW2. The showrunners really made Kuvira's "Earth Empire" very similar to the 3rd Reich. Those Nazi's allways were the best movie villains ...
As soon as i clicked the video I noticed something was off with Rana lol Glad you guys mentioned it because it would have bugged me for the entire video lol. I hope you're feeling better now Rana.
"You give metal-benders a bad name!" is Toph for "If you come after my family again, I'll f*ck you up!"
It just occurred to me. Was that Juicy at the beginning of the season when Opal and Kai took down the bandits?
Nah I think that was Kai's bison. Juicy is Opal's bison.
But I love Rana's natural reactions :( BE AS LOUD AS YOU WANT GWORL!!!
Omg I had orthodontic surgery back in like 2010 and had my jaw wired shut too and it was AWFUL. I know how bad it is. Hope you're doing much better now!
Feel better Rana! And you all enjoy your holiday!🎅🏾🎅🏾
15:16 was awesome. A total callback to Toph in the airship during Book 3 finale.
Hope for your speedy recovery rana dear.
12:06 was that Yoshi ?
I having a bad week so this reaction makes a big difference, thank you!
Fire Lord Ozai Is Nothing Compared to Kuvira's Skill Level.
Toph may have been the most innovative earth bender as she created an entirely new sub-discipline. However, compared to King Bumi she did not age well. She can't fight like she used to. Bumi on the other hand was in excellent shape for someone who was 112 and his fighting ability was amazing.
Thank you guys for reacting
I know this was like a month ago, but I hope you're feeling better Rana! We love you!
Yeah, the metalbending academy is in the comics directly after book 3 of ATLA, in The Promise.
Kudos to Nahid for talking about mental health and Rana sweetie, hope you feel better and heal faster. Gotta get that healing waterbending on lol. Loveyouguys! 😘
