For me, one of the very best things that I did was to build relationships with others in my program! We called ourselves the Dissertation Divas + 1 and supported each other till we all earned the title, “Doctor.” 💜 Three years later, I research, write, publish, and present several times a year with one of the DDivas (Dr. Amy Anderson)! 💜
I am in the process of submitting my appeal to GCU, because it’s been a little past 7 years. I am in the dissertation phase and am looking forward to getting back into my study. I will NOT quit, because I have plans! 🤩🤩🤩
@@DrMarkette I’m waiting on clearance from work, but I will definitely be there in March. I believe the 17th-22nd. And I sure will come meet you. You’ve already set me up for success because I’ve been bingeing your videos. 💜💜
Dr. Markette. Thank you. These short videos of how to get through the doctoral program are beneficial. The idea of developing a group from the first dissertation is a great idea and I will look into do just that. Not sure where I can fit in self-care but will keep trying.
Yes, creating your own cohort from residency will make all the difference! We often see groups arrive together for 2nd residency. Please say hi next time you come to town. I will be there!
Aloha e Dr. Markette - I found your motivation presentation a huge help. It was simplistically put and touched on 5 thoughtful sensible areas to be mindful of. It also comes at a perfect time in my dissertation where the towel appeared quite a bit. I also watched some of your other helpful videos (how to write each section in a matter of days or weeks - valued! I am grateful. Mahalo, Pua Kaninau-Santos
