I adore your dog, he's such a handsome chap and he's obviously a good companion for you. I love your cabin and all the work you have put. Into it. You are obviously very talented.
Thank you Brother JC for another example of self reliance. We all believe in helping the less fortunate, but the further we get away from (as a society) hard work, ingenuity, the ability to look at a problem or situation and figure out a solution, well, we're just going to be in a lot of trouble. I hope people can look at your videos and be inspired to do something, or try something they think they are not capable of doing, out side their box, so to speak. Take care and God bless - Chris
Thank you my friend. This is a project I've had in mind for a decade and so happy to finally put it into action. As an icebox it's working better than expected. I'm anxious to see how it performs on winter air. If I need to keep and ice bottle in there for insurance, that'll be fine too. As always, thanks for commenting.
So I just watched this video for probably the 10th time since you made it… I’ve been watching you for years swearing to myself that I’m going to get off my butt and build an off grid cabin and so far, I haven’t. Maybe this fall will be the year. 🤔 Thank you for sharing y’all’s life with us for so many years!!!
That ice box is a fantastic idea, I love the sliding door in the back. Beautiful work as usual, the wood work in that cabin looks great. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
Forgive me but I can't help but watch your videos over and over. I watch about 5-10 a day. All of them I've seen several times already. They always give me a feeling of peace and harmony - especially the cabin time vids. I really cannot wait till your next video. I usually sit on my front porch overlooking my pasture, drinking hot coffee and enjoy your channel.
That was an awesome video! Your cabin just gets better and better and that ice box is one of the neatest ideas I've ever seen for self sustainability that doesn't cost much and saves a lot. I'd love to see some plans on that ice box if you ever get around to it. You get a gold star for the day and Frankie gets a treat for just being himself.
Thank you Jon. I don't have plans cause I "winged it" from start to finish like all my projects. This combined with my 12v freezer will give me all the refrigeration I need over there. When winter comes I will let the winter air freeze a pile of bottles and stockpile them in an ice house. I'll take advantage of mother nature as much as possible.
Boss, that’s a great design and idea. Your woodwork is absolutely beautiful. I love how you don’t let anything go to waste. My friend, God bless you and yours!
Awesome! LOVE your handy work! I think your ice box is a wonderful idea. I don't think it would work as well in my area, in normal years, but I can see it's usefulness. Your skill is amazing. It puts my hen house to shame. lol I just got 2 walls up. This is the first building I have ever built.
THANK HEAVENS I found your site!!! OMG...you are answering all my questions so far!!! i have been marathon watching your site and look forward to even more! I thought I might be going over the edge thinking of using a wood cook stove, but you proved me RIGHT!!! I cannot imagine how wonderful it will be to not owe money for cooking meals! God bless you sir!!
Thank you for the kind words. Happy to hear you are enjoying my vids. By all means, get yourself a woodfired cookstove. My old Glenwood is burning as I type to take the morning chill out of the air. Once you master the art of cooking with wood you will never look back. The novelty never wears off. Thanks for commenting.
I really liked your kitchen queen! looked like a real work horse for a cabin! any other favorites of the new stoves that you might recommend? also, WHERE to purchase!! lol...Lehmans catolog seems to be the only place I have seen them! I am liking one called a PIONEER PRINCESS...what do you think?..PS just watched the screen house! wow! Jealous!!! =)
avonleanne There are several cook stoves out there but the only ones I have any experience with are the Antique Crawfords, Glenwoods and my Kqueen. The KQ comes in 2 different sizes and a few colors. You can buy your KQ from the manufacturer here: www.kitchenqueenstoves.com Have fun shopping :-))
Wonderful woodwork! It all looks beautiful. Your icebox is brilliant! My version is much less aesthetically pleasing…I put all my canisters of flour, grain, and big bowls of bread dough out on out back porch in winter. At Christmas and Thanksgiving, when the larder is stuffed, the porch provides a good place to cool a lot of food. Most years, that is - not long ago it was *%# 70 degrees at Thanksgiving! Our new normal. 😱🤯 So much has been lost with our modern technology. Cutting ice & storing it with sawdust in an ice house…root cellars…now a days, block ice is not even available where I live.
What a great job you've done with the finishing of the interior of your cabin. It's beautiful. Many years ago a friend of mine had an ice house (built from logs) that he would fill with blocks of ice that he would cut out of the river during the winter months. He then spread sawdust from his sawmill over the ice. It is amazing how the sawdust kept the ice insulated. I remember walking into the ice house in August and couldn't believe how cold it was in there, and still lots of ice remained. He kept his milk and cream, churned butter, (he had milk cows), meat and such in there. He was totally off grid and had a Lister generator that he would crank up whenever he needed electricity which was not very often. Thanks Boss for sharing this video, I really enjoy your content.
I will be doing similar but in a more convenient manner. I don't want to deal with sawdust clinging to the ice and messing up my icebox or deal with melting ice either. I will let winter temps freeze my salt bottles and then store those in an icehouse. This will make all the ice I need without having to cut it or deal with drainage or sawdust. Just taking some old methods and making them more convenient to suit my needs.
You have a eye for everything and everything you touch ends up just perfect...I'm sure its from hard work over all the years but everything looks amazing and fits in just perfect...Good stuff Bossman...
That's a beautiful ice box you made there Boss. The cabin looks awesome, I cant wait to see what other projects you have in store. Take care and stay safe.
My grandfather always had a triple wall corrugated box he used as a fridge. He put it in the north window, allowing him to keep his food cool for the first week of deer season. It always worked, and I've used his design many times over the years. Keep it sweet and simple.
Great idea. Nice to see you are able to reuse things you have collected over the years. The cabin is looking awesome, I really like what you have done with all the woodwork.
Thank you kindly. Yeah it was good for me too to be finally using all that Styrofoam. All I bought for that whole project was the white aluminum and vinyl. I like projects like this.
love to see the wonderful things you craft... You are a true artist with a heavy dose of philosopher tossed in. AND you truely love your boy Frankie... great guy the kind of neighbor I would love to have... about a mile away of course, that's about as close as neighbors should be.
Love the quote used in the beginning of the vid boss! It really hit home on how much basic knowledge has been lost over generations and evolution of technology. The info you are sharing with us is just priceless! Once again i thank you for another exceptional video. Cheers to you and Frankie.
I meant every word my friend. Knowing how to get by without power has been bred right out of our culture. I want to bring it back. I can't stand the way our world is. Cheers to you too.
I showed this episode to my old man years ago, and he was this makes sense for cold weather and using those frozen salt water bottles in warm weather. About a week ago I was with my dogs coming back from the store and we cruise thru the alleys in south St. Louis because they go nuts seeing rabbits, opussums and other urban wildlife. We went by a heating and cooling contractor who had by a dumpster 5 or 6 sheets of 3' by 5' styrofoam at least 3" thick and I thought of this episode. A couple of days later the sheets were gone. Seeing Frankie in his prime must tug at your heart strings.
Thank you Nelson. I really appreciate your compliment. All I did here was take 2 old homesteading methods (ice boxes and cold rooms) and combined them with my own ingenuity. So far this has exceeded my expectations. I'm thrilled with it.
I am going to steal your ideas on this one. Love your homestead videos. My husband and I had a camp on Black Lake for 25 plus years. Still have lots of family in upstate NY
I had this same idea in mind and you gave me the kick and inspiration to do it! Its so logical to take advantage of the cold air in the winter time! Genius! :)
I love how pretty everything is. I think often times when people say home stead we think slap it together really basic. But your home looks like a million bucks. All the hand work you have done. I LOVE IT
Im a carpenter as well. I build and make everything on my Homestead. A skill everyone should know. The ice box was awesome and I was wondering about the beer until the end. You have inspired me to build one. Sweet!
GREAT PROJECT BOSS LOVING WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THIS KINDA STUFF YOUR CABIN LOOKS SO AWESOME SO INSPIRING TO BUILD SOMETHING YOUR RIGHT ABOUT THE YOUNG PEOPLE LOOSING ALL THESE VALUABLE SKILLS AND THE SAD THING IS MOST DONT CARE
As always top notch work. OK ive decided the cabin is ro be willed to me, lol. I love the wood work and how you leave the bare and respect the natural beauty of it. Keep up the videos and I'll continue to watch, your outdoor friend Mr.Big Dwc.
The icebox is working excellent. Keeping food cold now with no ice at all and very easy to regulate with the sliding door. I'm thrilled with it and sure you will be too. Don't skimp on the insulation and it will hold the cold without fluctuations.
if i have veiwed this video of yours once i have veiwed at least a hundred times it is still one of my favorites and would love to see a similar one of the New Hampshire cabin one.
J.C. very ingenious, l love it, these are things l might have done but not done with the quality you have done it, thank you for sharing this with us, please keep it up.........
Great job done with the cooler...your craftsmanship is impeccable.I love all of the unique woodwork. I will be keeping this video on file too use for myself in the future. Your cabin is a very good looking place to put up the feet at the end of a long day.
What an awesome string of videos of your place. I have watched everything up to this point in the last few days and I am hooked. The ice box is very cool, we have a propane fridge at our cabin but during the hotter days of summer it can burn up the propane pretty quick. I was thinking that a long stem thermometer through the door of the ice box would help not opening the door to check the temp. Otherwise I would be grabbing a beer every time I did. Thanks for sharing.
So glad to see the cabin again, and I love to see your meals being prepared. The bathroom looks fab! Great job on the icebox! Now you need to train Frankie how to unlatch the door so he can bring you a beer.
I can't thank you enough for all the DIY ideas! I'm working on a 16x16 cabin and your advice has been invaluable. Bless you and your work. Cabin life, YA!!!
Hey, it's been a while, hope all is well on your end, despite our past differences. I wanted to stop by and share this video with someone as I remember how 'cool' this project was....no pun intended ;) . Cheers.
Stupendous job! I love it and as usual the job is perfection! I love that all wood look.. as a small girl my parents rented a house that had that real wood paneling throughout it... it was stained a golden color and after all these years I can remember how it made me feel... just made you feel warm and contented, especially when the sun came through the window. I think wood speaks to the inner parts of us. Another of God's gifts to us! Recently I tore the carpet out of the diningroom, some nincompoop had put down some fiberboard down over hardwood flooring with glue.. ruined it! The crazy things people do! Great job and a thumbs up! What's this spice thing you were talking about, that sounds intriguing.. do you have a video on that! Blessings to you and Frankie!
Hi Abby. Natural wood is awesome to look at and yes, very soothing to the soul. can't believe someone would fiberboard over a wood floor. Arggg!!!! The next addition to the cabin will have a lot of wood in it. I drywalled the original part of the cabin because that area will eventually be all kitchen. Kitchen floor going down soon and solar panels soon to follow. You can view my spice business at: www.unclejimshomestead.com . The website has never been finished but you can see most of my selections there. Blessings to you my friend.
thebossoftheswamp I am excited about the new installment of your flooring and solar panels. I wish I understood solar panels and how it works! I have watched a few video's, but I just don't get it! Maybe you could explain it better than I have seen! Thank you for the spice website.. I am going to check it out and try and order something payday! You must have had awesome parents.. was it your father who taught you the woodworking skill, or did it come naturally! In any case keep up the good work! Love it! Blessings!
1994abbygirl I wish your vision of my childhood was accurate but unfortunately I had a pretty lousy one. Really crappy childhood actually. My only good memories come from the camp when I could escape the chaos and lose myself in the forest. The forest was my savior and I'm sure that's why I find my contentment there to this day. I inherit my ingenuity (not carpentry) from my dad, but it was never taught to me directly. I carved out a life for myself on my own because I had t fend for myself at a very young age. Very young. Since I was unsupervised I almost never went to school. Flunked out of everything from grade 5 on up and quit on my 16th birthday. I was a free thinker and that was frowned upon by my elders. I flunked art class when I was a boy because I didn't color in the lines. I had my own ideas how the picture should look so I did my own thing. The teacher couldn't handle that, gave me an F. Later I became a professional artist, had my own Main St gallery, 3 sales reps and 181 wholesale accounts. HA... how do you like me now? Color in the lines my ass ha ha. Oh the stories my journals could tell. I taught myself how to build because I wanted a cabin in the woods. I built one with a book in one hand and a hammer in the other. No joke. Been on the same path ever since. One dream after another. Life is what you make of it right Abby? I'll discuss the solar another day, I have a Frisbee to throw.
thebossoftheswamp Sounds like we both had the same childhood..to some degree. I was never happier than when I was in the woods, or the country at the least. I have fond memories of a family who lived simply.. people called them names because they didn't have the nicest house on the block... even though they lived in town, they lived a simple life. They always had a garden, but it was inside there house that I felt peace. It wasn't filled up with things that weren't absolutely needed. The best I ever had was a long summer in the mountains, no electricity, no indoor plumbing.. I cooked on a woodstove, used gas lanterns. It was wonderful at night to play rummy with the family.. we bathed in the creek.. it was colder than the North Pole.. but it was the peace I loved. The chatter of squirrels, the birds song, the running water of the creek. Even as a child I would grab my pole and head over the hill from our home and walk the creek beds all the way into town. Unheard of for a girl to do these days alone! Mama always had a string of brookies to feed the family! I also, use to walk another hill behind ours, in a sense I was a loner I guess. I quit school at 16 to... but my life took a different route and was a wife and mother at 17. I have tried to learn as many of the old ways.. like our ancestors lived.. we may need those tools in the future. I am into preparedness big time.. canning and dehydrating, candle making, quilting, knitting and sewing.. raising chickens.. etc etc. The things we endure throughout life can make us or break us.. God expects us to overcome the adversities and you've done well for yourself, be proud and stay strong!
Hey man, just wanted to tell you that I think your vids are some of the best on RUclips. You present your projects with without being showy or preachy, and anyone with an eye for detail can see you are a craftsman as well. I'm excited every time I see a video from you, which is more than I can say for most of my subscriptions. Keep on keepin' on, and tell Charlie I said hi.
Thank you for your compliment. I appreciate that. Frankie on the otherhand says you watch too much "wild north" cause you called him "Charlie" LMAO!!!! He's sensitive about that hahahahaha. Thanks for the comment and the chuckle this morning.
I still call a refrigerator an ice box. Always heard my parents back in the day calling them that. Your work and outlook on life is right on sir. Amazing work🍺
I love the idea of using Mother Natures temperatures to serve your purposes. Ingenious! In the old days when we had a spring fed milk house with over in Holmes County Ohio we used that spring water to cool a lot of things besides the milk cans...and that worked pretty well too. Your comments about "real world knowledge" that used to be common are so correct!
+Nate McKenzie Yes, old common sense methods of living have become a thing of the past. My icebox is holding steady at 40 degrees and there's no ice in it. It's right here handy near my cooking surface too. So glad I built this.
Simple yet effective. Super insulation is the way to go as you have shown. As a former energy auditor and home inspector I always wondered why more houses don't use it.
What a great project, I'm planning on building a small dog house size house for bread & frozen food to use in the winter months but inside like this is much more convenient......Very inventive to be able to adjust the temp, great stuff as always Boss ...!!
This is working out slicker than snot buddy. I been using this with two, 2.5 gallon salt bottle on the bottom and two 2 quart salt bottle on the middle shelf and the temps are staying consistent every time I'm there. An even 30* on the bottom for my beverages, smack dab on 40 on the middle shelf and 48 on the top for my butter and veggies. I couldn't be happier.
You are so fortunate to have such talent..I have heard you talk about how little money it takes for you to live this lifestyle..what amazes me is that you are able to do all this and make everything so comfortable and convenient..it seems that you live well with little sacrifice of creature comforts..a tip of the hat to you sir..and of course Frankie...
Thank you for saying "fortunate" and not "lucky" People have always said "you are so lucky to have this" like as if everything was given to me when I worked for everything I have. I do make some sacrifice and tradeoffs but I cut corners where it doesn't hurt so that I can splurge in other areas. My solar panels are being shipped as I type. That cabin will be styling real soon. Thanks for commenting.
Just watched your new vid on life lessons it was inspiring to me, I have taken a good look at my life and I can identify with yours thank you for this vid
Hi, just wanted to say i recently found you channel on RUclips and love it. Like many others, it seems, I have gone back to your earliest videos and watched so many as I enjoy them all. I live in metropolitan Melbourne Australia and, although i did live and work on farms in New Zealand in my youth, so much of what you do in your climate is alien to us here. (Today is going to be 27 Celsius; 80 Fahrenheit - a mild summer day while you often have deep snow). You are very good at what you are doing - a lot of skill and experiences and excellent in communicating it. Keep it up. (I have also joined your Patreon site so we dont lose you.) Cheers from Australia. God bless you too.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts Roger, I appreciate your kind words and thank you for following us to Patreon. We have a lot to share over there. God Bless
Very nicely done JC!! Love the cabin videos!! I've been collecting foam too and have what I need for the cabin!! Love the ice box!! Was up in your neck of the woods (Meacham Lake about 23 miles south of Malone last weekend) and it was awesome!!
I adore your dog, he's such a handsome chap and he's obviously a good companion for you. I love your cabin and all the work you have put. Into it. You are obviously very talented.
+Patsy Kane Thank you for your kind words. All the best to you.
I love catching up on your older vides. Absolutely love them.
Glad you like them!
This cabin is just freaking gorgeous. Most definitely my cabin goals.
Thank you Brother JC for another example of self reliance. I am so happy I came across your channel. The icebox is Beautiful. You are so talented !!!
Thank yo and welcome to my channel Debby :-)
Such a great idea for a fridge! We built one based off of yours, but probably not as well built 😉 Thanks for an awesome idea!
Boss, that’s a great design and idea. Your woodwork is absolutely beautiful. I love how you don’t let anything go to waste. My friend, God bless you and yours!
Thank you very much!
Awesome! LOVE your handy work! I think your ice box is a wonderful idea. I don't think it would work as well in my area, in normal years, but I can see it's usefulness.
Your skill is amazing. It puts my hen house to shame. lol I just got 2 walls up. This is the first building I have ever built.
Thank you kindly. Best of luck with your project.
thebossoftheswamp Well, so far it's still standing. ;) I guess that's a good sign. lol

You never cease to amaze. Beautiful workmanship. What a great ice box. Love the way you come up with so many cool ideas (pun intended)!
That's why I never sleep. Damn busy brain 24/7. Thanks for commenting. I always enjoy your comments.
You have a eye for everything and everything you touch ends up just perfect...I'm sure its from hard work over all the years but everything looks amazing and fits in just perfect...Good stuff Bossman...
Thank you buddy. Good to hear from you.
Great idea, love the ice box. Keep the hard work and back to basic information ❤️
Your solutions to heat, water, sewer, power, kitchen and refrigeration are fantastic. I’m using them all on my off grid cabin. Thank You!
Glad you enjoy my postings and good luck with your cabin.
That's a beautiful ice box you made there Boss. The cabin looks awesome, I cant wait to see what other projects you have in store. Take care and stay safe.

Sweet and simple. Yessah :-)
What an excellent idea and very handy for keeping the beer nice and cold!
It's working out awesome. So glad I built it.
Probably the best poster on youtube. Another great video by the BOSS!
Thank you. I appreciate the comment.

+Michael Guzzello The icebox works remarkably well. No ice needed here for abut 5 months of the year.
love to see the wonderful things you craft... You are a true artist with a heavy dose of philosopher tossed in. AND you truely love your boy Frankie... great guy the kind of neighbor I would love to have... about a mile away of course, that's about as close as neighbors should be.

you are one great guy, Boss. Thank you for all you do with your mindful lifestyle.
Thank you Karen :-)
We’re going to build these. Thank you. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Besides being smart and functional it is also SOOOO Beautiful!
Thank you
Loving the idea behind the refrigerator haven't built my tiny home yet but you're giving me lots of knowledge thank you.! !!
Thanks for commenting.
I am going to steal your ideas on this one. Love your homestead videos. My husband and I had a camp on Black Lake for 25 plus years. Still have lots of family in upstate NY
Nothing like good ole Yankee ingenuity, that's why your the boss.
Love this. Its a great update to the ghetto fridges we made when i grew up in the city and had no power innthe winter for various reasons.
I had this same idea in mind and you gave me the kick and inspiration to do it! Its so logical to take advantage of the cold air in the winter time! Genius! :)
Fantastic work! Your cabin is a work of art. I always enjoy your videos.
Thank you kindly.
Great idea on the fridge and the cabin is just beautiful !
Thank you
Great cooler idea JC! The bathroom is wonderful and woodsy!
Thank you Lassie. I will be giving a closer look in the near future. Always enjoy hearing from you.
Your natural refrigerator looks awesome!!
Going thru the oldies. But goodies. I want to eventually try this too.
I love how pretty everything is. I think often times when people say home stead we think slap it together really basic. But your home looks like a million bucks. All the hand work you have done. I LOVE IT
+Kori Emerson Thank you for your kind words my friend. Cheers :-)
Im a carpenter as well. I build and make everything on my Homestead. A skill everyone should know. The ice box was awesome and I was wondering about the beer until the end. You have inspired me to build one. Sweet!
I'll be building another one for my other cabin too.
The woodwork is awsome! 👍👍👍
I started following your channel yesterday while I was stuck in bed sick. I just want to say I love your channel so much!
Talbott Harrison Glad you are enjoying my postings and thank you for saying so. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
What a great job ... your craftsmanship is amazing !!!!
Thank you Danny. I appreciate your comment.

All is well my friend. Thanks for commenting.
They'll care when the grid goes down. Then they'll be complaining. Thank you for your compliments.
As always top notch work. OK ive decided the cabin is ro be willed to me, lol. I love the wood work and how you leave the bare and respect the natural beauty of it. Keep up the videos and I'll continue to watch, your outdoor friend Mr.Big Dwc.
That is so cool. I am going to use your idea for my own place when I move off grid next year. The place looks great you are doing a great job.
The icebox is working excellent. Keeping food cold now with no ice at all and very easy to regulate with the sliding door. I'm thrilled with it and sure you will be too. Don't skimp on the insulation and it will hold the cold without fluctuations.
thebossoftheswamp Thanks for the tip and I wont. I think its a great idea. I enjoy your channel we can all learn good information from each other.
I like the fact your hoarding has become useful and not turned into rubbish 👍🏻 cost efficiency is my aim as well. Good one! 😁
Thanks! 😊
if i have veiwed this video of yours once i have veiwed at least a hundred times it is still one of my favorites and would love to see a similar one of the New Hampshire cabin one.
J.C. very ingenious, l love it, these are things l might have done but not done with the quality you have done it, thank you for sharing this with us, please keep it up.........
Thank you kindly Lloyd. I appreciate your compliments.
I love your ice box, makes total sense.
Thank you kindly. It's working out great so far.
Great info for the new / old ages.
Great job done with the cooler...your craftsmanship is impeccable.I love all of the unique woodwork. I will be keeping this video on file too use for myself in the future. Your cabin is a very good looking place to put up the feet at the end of a long day.
Glad you enjoyed it Brian, thanks or the compliments.
That is just so smart. Awesome idea glad it turned out so well.
+eloctocs13 Thank you kindly.
Another amazing video and project, your ideas and ability are just amazing.
Thank you Danielle. I always appreciate your comments. God Bless.
That's pretty slick, i'm going to remember that idea! Awesome wood work too!
Thank you
Love all your videos. You have inspired me to think and build with so much logic. Thank you for posting your videos.
Glad you find them beneficial to you. Thanks for commenting.
You are one creative fella.... Genius without a doubt. Giving me new ideas with every video. Keep it up boss!!!
Thank you Cameron. Always good to hear from you.
Great looking space! Great inspiration and well thought out.
Thanks so much!
love all the craftsmanship you do..as a custom boat builder i see your work as top of the line...thanks give Frankie a thump for me LOL
I very much appreciate your compliment. Thank you
What an awesome string of videos of your place. Thanks for sharing.
fantastic idea!! And your woodwork turned out beautiful!
Thank you kindly.
So glad to see the cabin again, and I love to see your meals being prepared. The bathroom looks fab!
Great job on the icebox! Now you need to train Frankie how to unlatch the door so he can bring you a beer.
LOL. Thanks for commenting.
You did an incredible job! Thank you for posting your work!
Okay. Boss of the swamp, you are a real homespun find!
I can't thank you enough for all the DIY ideas! I'm working on a 16x16 cabin and your advice has been invaluable. Bless you and your work. Cabin life, YA!!!
+Helen Chute Glad you find my vids beneficial Helen. Good luck with your cabin.
Thank you :)
Great project -- makes sense to let Mother Nature cool your food.
Very creative & congratulations.
Thank you for the video. I'm building one myself. 👍
great job, your cabin is looking nice.a great place to relax
Thank you buddy. It's coming into it.
The work you have shown is truly amazing and I thank you for sharing them with us
Super smart !!! Thanks for sharing with us !!!
Hey, it's been a while, hope all is well on your end, despite our past differences. I wanted to stop by and share this video with someone as I remember how 'cool' this project was....no pun intended ;) . Cheers.
No worries on the past differences. Cheers.
@@thebossoftheswamp Right on man, all the best to you and your lady :)
1994abbygirl We have walked similar paths Abby. Thank you for sharing all that. Blessings to you my friend.
Thanks for the comment and the chuckle this morning.
thebossoftheswamp
Oh jeez, is my face red. I really was watching Andrew's channel before your new vid. Tell Frankie I'm sorry!
Love the workmanship!
Thank you
I still call a refrigerator an ice box. Always heard my parents back in the day calling them that. Your work and outlook on life is right on sir. Amazing work🍺
Thank you
I will have to keep inmind the refridgerator method when we move to mt. That will be an assett to our way of living thanks for sharing this vid
Awesome job on the ice box there JC!! Love the bathroom too!! Your a man of many talents my friend!!
Thank you my friend. I'm lovin it too. Can't wait to live there. All the best to you and the misses.
love this fridge, you are so talented
Thank you
thank you for sharing your cabin life, great place, great craftsmanship and very informative on living off grid.
You're welcome. Thanks for commenting.
Awesome and your wood work is so beautiful.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful what you can do with just a little thinking and necessity... Great video.
Actually it was a LOT of thinking. That project was kicking my arss. Frankie hid under the table through most of it ha ha.
Well still looked good, and will probably be a big saver too. Congrats.
Simple yet effective. Super insulation is the way to go as you have shown. As a former energy auditor and home inspector I always wondered why more houses don't use it.
I can't believe how that thing holds the ice. I'm thrilled with it.
Nice work! Looks good and very functional.
Thank you Fawn. So far it's exceeding my expectations.
Great idea boss! I like it! Nice work too! everything looks great!
Awesome project an the pad looks great thanks for sharing
You are my new hero! I love how your mind works!!
+maryanne eggers Thank you Maryanne. All the best :-)
God Bless
What an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Very nicely done JC!! Love the cabin videos!! I've been collecting foam too and have what I need for the cabin!! Love the ice box!! Was up in your neck of the woods (Meacham Lake about 23 miles south of Malone last weekend) and it was awesome!!
Howdy Rob. Good to hear from you. Thanks for commenting.
