Today I’m sharing the last and final part of Marie’s bedroom makeover! Since this room has a red cast from the neighboring home, I decided to hone in on the design to embrace the lighting. A caramel toned plaster was applied to the walls and in todays video were styling the room to make it the perfect place to slumber 🤎

I'm not a brown person, so I'm puzzled at how this room is simply stunning to me... absolutely insanely gorgeous and put together. I think this is my favorite you have ever done.
It does have a slight ambery/orange tone to it which makes it just so cozy!

Made me a bit crazy as well but my eye catches details strongly. I wasn't in love with the lamps but, with that said, I go gaga over most everything Drew does.
Marie’s bedroom makeovers have been the most stunning and beautiful rooms I’ve ever seen. I loved, loved her bedroom in the old apartment. And I love, love this makeover as well. I just love all your "found" items! I think the fact that the dresser blends in with the walls makes the width work. Good on you for seeing potential in that frame... It turned out really well. The desk chair is awesome! The leather pillow pulls in the wood on the headboard ... nice way to pull things together :-) The Peacock mirror ... OMG! The moody vibe in this room is AWESOME!

I love how the room came out, beautiful colors and furniture. The only thing is I don’t like are the bedside lights cords. I think table lamps would have been a better option since you wouldn’t see the cords.😊

I love what you did to this room. Although I love the peacock mirror stylistically, I think I would have liked the tall mirror in the closet area so I could see how I looked from a distance. I would also probably would have put the cords in a wall colored cord holder.

I was thinking the same thing. Switch the mirrors placement. I would want the the long mirror where the peacock is and the peacock on the wall next to the vogue art. But this room is stunning 😍

The hanging lamps are fine but I am not on board with the dangling cords hanging down the wall. Definitely would be better with cord covers.

I love that sateen finish on the bedding. The gentle shine is gorgeous and adds a perfect accent to the room. I’m crying a bit because I want that painting over her dresser for myself. Perfect amount of color and vintage.
Hey Drew, I actually was one of the people who disliked when you started making multiple videos per makeover. But the way you did this is the absolute best of both worlds, because this video is an excellent, self contained makeover. But also we can watch the steps if we want. Great work! Your energy and commitment to quality really shows in your videos and you deserve all your success and more!
Beautiful job! The suede wall treatment and color are delicious and I love the peacock mirror. The only tweak I would make would be to cover the sconce cords, I just don’t like looking at cords.
I was stunned that Drew left them hanging sort of randomly like that.

I agree. Feels like it could use a more feminine pillow, maybe beaded or tufted satin. It's coming off a little masculine for me. But I am sure Marie will be putting her spin on it. Absolutely a beautiful room though.

The wall color & texture are *butter*, but the exclamation points are the mirrors & fluted hanging lamps! Wrap those cords in a satin ribbon to finish. Sweet dreams, Marie!

Drew, this is a room you'd see in Architectural Digest Magazine. I have no words other than stunning to describe it. It is feminine yet masculine at the same time. I'm 62 and I see this as a room, any age and gender could fall in love with. Bravo!
Man... I'm a 40 year interior designer and decorating veteran... and you're makeover of Maries room is STUNNING IN EVERY way. Love the wall finish, and the pop of color with purple doors in the alcove, just to name a few. I've put my 27 year old daughter onto you... as she's in her first home she owns with her partner... I'm sure she'll find lots of inspiration from all your videos. Brilliant!!! WOW.

Your taste has really changed! This room is really pretty............the wall treatment is beautiful, the linens are nice. The hanging lights on the sides of the bed and the mirror are nice. But to me it reads masculine overall. All it needs is a lit cigar and a glass of whisky over ice. I hope Marie loves it though!
This is my favorite room so far. it's truly stunning. What heaven to wake up in such a room every day. I love this so much. A cord cover painted to match the wall is needed for the sconces. Anchor the floor mirror to the wall in case of earthquake. It would end up on the bed on her if she's sleeping. That's all I see I'd tweak. This is really a masterpiece.

Absolutely gorgeous! You put so much love into this room. The two of you are blessed to have such a friendship. Do me one small favor, pull straight those lamp cords and perhaps loosely use wire staples to keep them taut. My eye goes straight to those cords slung across the wall instead of right to those beautiful lights. The colors in this room are so deeply rich and peaceful. If I could put this in a dish I’d want to gobble it up. Marie is going to feel very cherished living in this space you created just for her.

You did a guest bedroom for your Grandfather I believe. I would like to see more bedrooms. I think I would have used cord covers for the bedside lamps. They are distracting from the pretty shades.

Everything is beautiful. I especially like the area where the peacock mirror is. The only thing I would do differently is get the plastic cord covers (Amazon). They have adhesive strip and cord fits inside. Then paint them the same color as wall. The cords hanging down takes away from the bed and nightstands. Just an idea. 😊
Bedroom is looking more like your aesthetic, then possibly Maria’s. I assume she is giving you the “ok” on everything for her bedroom, at least I hope so. Also, desk chair needs either rolling feet added to it, or at least felt circles added, so that chair can easily slide on floor and not scratch it as she moves chair around getting into it, out of it, and scotching chair closer to desk as she’s working there.
Flowers on nightstand are a perfect touch, and the start to what I believe could be like a roaring 1920’s-1940’s feel/theme/vib to the bedroom.

The only little criticism I have are the cables from the hanging lamps! To me they are interfering the flow of harmony and should be put into the wall.
The colors are beautiful. As a woman, for practical reasons, I would want the floor mirror where you hung the peacock mirror. It would give me the opportunity to check my outfit from head to toe. I'm not sure that can be done where it currently stands. Also I worry about the glare while working at the desk. In design school we were taught light for a desk should come from behind or the side. I really liked the repetition of the green from the painting in the pottery piece. The mauve is awesome.
Im currently studying design and while i recognize the difficulties of desks under windows, i am drawn to the light like a moth unto a flame 😅 Maybe Marie is the same way

Wow, it is gorgeous. I love that you paid attention to what was outside the window. Sarah Richardson did a loft makeover and failed to take into consideration another red brick wall that was even closer to the client's windows. The red clashed terribly with the decor and she ended with suggesting they never open the drapes which is ridiculous. So many designers fail to take into consideration what is outside. Your choices were spot on perfect especially the wall color and the way it reflects the light in such a subtle way. That dresser I take it wasn't a bargain find but it is stunning and a great focal point for that wall and the bed is a stunning piece. If it were me, I would trade the lovely cream colored blanket at the end of the bed for a vintage textile to the bed to break up the styled perfection a bit. I know a lot of people think a quilt or even piece of 30s fabric would be too boho for the room but I think a vintage quilt always makes a room look more approachable and at the same time breaks up the perfectly styled textiles. I like something that doesn't quite match too even if it is a quilt in a basket on the floor. Still matching and perfection is gorgeous too. I admire perfection and I understand the need for it in such a video.
This bedroom really showcase Drew’s design prowess, it’s understated, individualistic, curated, moody and cosy, sophisticated, layers and the colour palette is extraordinary. A true designer showcase. I’m so glad to be in the lone fox family and witnessing you and Macenna evolution.

Drew!!! Really, really beautiful! You can see your roots in Arizona in the palette and texture. But you are also considering Marie (your “client“) who is reflected in those beautiful feminine lines from the art deco pieces, wavy mirror candelabra and pottery. Your eye for line and shape is making these eclectic pieces just sing!! That is so hard to do and you are crushing it. So proud of you!! Drew, stunning! I love the walls! The effect, the color. That painting, it's colors are perfect for the room! It looks like you designed the room around it. That Peacock mirror is Devine! I love the look of the room. Not sold on the sconces however, perhaps they would grow on me. They initially appear too small.

Same reaction to the sconces. Sort of shocking pop on that wall and the cords don't work for me. Funny, during the reveal, I started to get more accustomed to the cords (even though they hang differently) because they seemed so very European. I have family in Europe and could see that room in one of their homes. When Drew did the ending from Sweden, I spotted two sconces on the side of the bed with cords showing... Mmmm. Maybe it's a thing? Hate to even post this when 99.95% of the room is sheer perfection in every detail! (Is there a rug in there? Did I miss that?)
The rug came out of Drew's room. He brought it in during the last video.
Agree about proportion on lamps, which all felt too small. Selections okay, but just felt even the sconces not used and the desk lamp needed to be grander statements. Would prefer cord covers if these are the final sconces. Also felt vases on the right of the dresser were pretty, but too small for the space. Lots of thought in the concepts and furniture choices. Hope Marie loves.

Hope some of those mauve pinks and dusty rose with plums come into more of the bedding as their feminine and so pretty against the Leather isk Walls...and would add even more Of A Vibe into that Space.😮 Love the Plum cabinets against the Leather looking wall and those blinds 😮

My only suggestion would be to swap the mirrors because there is not enough space to take outfit photos in front of the full length mirror. Absolutely love it though. This room is stunning!

At first I didn't love the walls & ceiling color but now that I see all the accent pieces I love it. I would have done the bedding in an dark aubergine with velvet bed pillows to POP!! That desk & chair go really good with everything. THAT MIRROR IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! 🤎🤎

I LOVE the sateen look of the bedding. It's so clean and crisp looking, unlike their linen style. I also love the tone on tone look of the room, makes it so cozy and warm. I'm curious if using some cord covers on the wall for the hanging lamps would look cleaner?

This room is so beautifully muted and feels relaxed but luxurious with the sheen of the sheets and the rich shade of the chair balanced by those natural bamboo blinds, she's very lucky to have such a lovely space.

Tone on tone becomes pure elegance when you go all out on texture. I'm considering collecting a few pieces to get that look this winter in my living room with only a floral arrangement to add lightness to the space. The larger window will open, but not the ones in front of the desk. That's not a crime.
