- Gaming Desk Review of the Cougar Gaming Mars 120 desk. This is the little brother to the Cougar Gaming Mars desk. I go over every part of the desk as well as give my thoughts about the desk after having used it for a few days.

I just bought this table, pretty much good table for the price of it! Enough space, feels like solid rock, so tough, strong... Ohhh and the lighting... Amazing!

Hi I have the table but couldn't figure out how to turn the lights on. I must say I have a Samsung screen with a ps4...does it work?
What type of adapter is needed for the rgb to work using a laptop? Does it come with a usb cable that can be used to power the rgb?
The desk is powered off a USB Type A. It can be plugged into a desktop, laptop, or even a gaming console.

Hey, I bought the Cougar 150 gaming desk it's the same as this but slightly bigger. I have been having problems with both the lights om the table, i turn my PC on, but after 20-30 mins of my PC on both the lights on the table turn off, the only way i can get the lights on again is to restart my computer only then the lights will turn on again but after 30 mins of restarting the lights will turn off again. Please help me.
Is it as sturdy as arozzi arena?

Yes, the RGB works when plugged into the PS5.

You would take the USB from the desk labeled “Power” and plug that into a USB port on the PS5.

It really has been great. I've had it for about 3 months now and I have not had any scratches or tears on the desk material. Build quality is really good given that its a small form factor.
What about Cable Management . Nice video
It’s non-existent. I had to get my own Velcro and add an anchor point or two for support. I’m planning on making a cover or get one of those oversized cable management trays to hide things better.
What kind of adapter you used? I have a laptop for now, and want to connect those lights
I think you’re asking about the USB-C to USB-A. Just a generic adapter from Amazon.
@@helpdesk9111 rlly? I thought something else was needed, as the desktop just comes with a 3 pin to control rgb
The desktop using the 3-pin allows you to use the motherboard feature of the controller which lets you make fluid and interactive colors on the desk. With a laptop you can cycle through preset colors and effects from the desk’s controller.

Unfortunately no, it needs the driver from a device like a console or computer to make it work.

Will this work with an Xbox one? Can you use the headphone port and microphone port off the table with the Xbox one?
It will turn on the lights. The headphone and mic port are pass through so don’t think it will work on the Xbox.
I have both USB ports connected to my ps4 but the lights goes off every 1 or 2 minutes for few seconds and come back, like the table disconnects and reconnects every few minutes, am I doing something wrong here? Kindly let me know, thanks for the video and the efforts!
First let’s confirm which table you have. The Mars and Mars 120 are different. The Mars 120, that is in this video, has an extra USB cable labeled “Power”. That would be used by itself to power the LEDs on the desk. The larger Mars desk does not have that extra cable and I believe requires the adapter for the 10-pin that connects to a PC motherboard. I have not tested the larger desk.
@@helpdesk9111 Thanks for the reply. I have the Mars 120 (the one in the video), I have the power supply labeled cable connected to the ps4, and it keeps disconnecting, tried connecting it to the laptop, same thing happens.
@@jaafar9486 Does the button on the controller light up white and cycle the colors? Also, try using the power USB by itself.
@@helpdesk9111 yes it cycles the color for a while and then it disconnects, is there any way I can share a video with in dm or something?

The Mac can only use the USB from the Mars 120 control interface. This is the USB C to USB adapter I use, rb.gy/umqv5y
I haven't seen any gaming desks with higher weight capacity than these.
How can I connect RGB led with laptop ?

Yes, it will work. As long as you plug it into a USB port on the PS5. It does not work plugged into a USB power supply on its own.

thanks a lot for the review, i just received the desk today and i’m loving it and i didn’t have any problems connecting the light to my ps4 if there any way i can show you how it looks let me know🔥 (If the desk would have the motor height adjustment it would be the best on the market )

Not one of these fucking videos of this desk show how they hook it up to thier comps.... the main part we came for.
I can answer for you. Are you taking about the connection to a motherboard for controlling the RGB? Or just to power it up so you can use the control panel on the desk?

To power it up you just use the USB cable that is labeled Power. But it has to be plugged into USB port on a PC or game console. It can’t be plugged into a USB power supply.
@@helpdesk9111 it only has 2 usb cords coming off the desk and none are labled power....
Then that is your problem, you should have 3. One that is black that is for the USB 2.0 on the control console, one that is blue that is for the USB 3.0 on the control console then one this is black with a power label.
