I'm glad you posted this because I was about to pull mine apart to see what's up with the lack of dust collection. We're mostly doing remodels so for me it works great. Thanks for the suggestions and reviews. Also loving that new Dewalt drywall gun.
Thanks for the support brother I haven't been able to find a cheaper option for you for the bits. I think CSR has them in stock occasionally also the sander should be able there soon.
I purchased the dewalt based on your review a long time ago. We mainly do remodels, has worked great, no issues. Beats pole sanding, we use it with the big dewalt vac. As for dust collection hands down better than pole sanding. We usually have dust barriers up anyways.
Have all of them. Mirka is my go to sander, specially for the grip, extension and weight. No suction problem or dust collection at all. The only complain I have is the poor hose attachment to the sander and no swivel on the hose end, it comes off often.
DANG BRO you have 4 bazookas? haha I see yo got Columbia and a drywall master right? how you like the drywall master? I think out of all the quick clean heads I like that one the most, fastest and no tools to open that head up to clean
Yup the only issue is the gaskets were out pretty quick on all the removable heads so to get leaky. I like them both the drywall master has that cool needle storage too on the spindle.
Thanks for the post, it was very informative! Id like for you to make a video about what type of respirators or mask you and your crew use for sanding drywall. I have always used N95 masks but if theres better options out there that are safer and prevent more dust inhalation id be interested in trying it. Good health and blessings to you and your family from N.C.
Thanks brother will do the half half that the painters use have different filters you can swap out the pick cycle ones are specific for fine dust (drywall) and filter out 99% as opposed to the regular n95 which filters 95%.
The DeWalt and Planex 2 is such a solid combo for brushdown and finish work, it's my go to as well. Do you still recommend the flexvolt dust extractor? Good to see a vid from you bro.
I’m trying to start doing side work and hopefully if the LORD blesses it my own business. I can’t afford a bazooka or any other tool except for my hand tools. Would you be interested in donating one of your bazookas or anything you might have that you could spare? Or if not maybe sell ? Everything out in California is too expensive having a difficult time finding anything.
Shipping would be ridiculously expensive brother have you tried Ebay, I find deals on there all the time. I started off with a 10 inch box and a pump. After that an angle box would be the best investment. The bazooka was the last thing I bought. Would use the banjo or by hand like the Canadians do it. Animo you got this.

That's great man glad I could help .
I like that pad for the improved dust collection, but yeah Powerstack batteries are essential for running the Dewalt all day
Couldn't agree more.

So you have gotten away from using the Hilti/Mirka?
Mirka is rubbish
I gave the Mirka to my brother and we still use the Mirka for our finer finishes.
