@@neemoteemo7530 "Houston, we have a problem" is quote attributed to the failed Apollo 13 mission to the moon. He's got no Houston to whine down to, he is alone to confront his problems.
This album is so brilliant. Just shows that you don't have to sell millions of records to be a great band. True talent is never appreciated by the masses.
In 1997, I came across this album but overlooked it for another album, I know this because the album art stayed in my memory. In 2016, I finally came across Fantastic Planet and my biggest regret, not giving this a listen in 1997. Better late than never.
She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far. I fuckin love it.
As a person dealing with neurosis and trying to break some bad habits in my life, I can relate to the song's lyrics. Oj a side note, this track made me cry.
Efn' A Cotton,.....you got that right! this is hands down one of the best songs i've ever heard and will always be so important to me. This song has carried me through some times alright....so beyond stoked to see Failure next month in Ventura!!
The solar panel's shining face Is smiling back on me Twisting off into the sun It's okay to be lonely All my missions float away I never trained too hard I'm so caught up in the tree of stars Falling in my backyard She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far I've got no Houston to whine down to I've got no protocol Gravity's so far away Wrapped on that shrinking ball I eclipsed my memories Sleeping inside this pod Patient, time will carry me On her back without a sigh And I won't let her down My soul is celestial-bound And if I'm never found She'll always be She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far She'll always be what I can't find She'll always be where I break down She'll always hide behind a star I'll always dream, she can't be far
It feels like giving up, and going EVA upon reentry...I would love to do that right now, with this song playing, and reentry beginning towards the end of the song.
This is absolutely amazing! I love it! Great lyrics video for one of my all-time favorite songs! Great, great work! But, I've gotta ask about this: I thought the lyric was, "got no Houston to WHINE down to; got no protocol"... Like saying, "I'm on my own out here, with no help to call on." I may be wrong, but that's what I thought. :) Either way, thanks for this video!
Does anyone have any songs or bands they can recommend to me that are somewhat similar to Failure or this song? This song and band is amazing and can't get enough of it and just wanted to know some music similar to this.
Autolux, Future Perfect. Listen to _Plantlife_, really good song! Ken Andrews’ solo album, Secrets of the Lost Satellite. Listen to _Write Your Story_ and _Tripped Up_.
+Shancheze Johnson Pillowhead, they named their band after the Failure song, I haven't listened to much but on the surface they seem legit, not just a ripoff, but I just heard of them and really haven't listened to much, not even thru an entire song, kinda on the backburner, but I will soon enough
*"Got no Houston to 'whine down' to" - otherwise, perfection
*MY soul is celestial-bound
What does it even mean ?

Literally nobody in history has ever thought that.
Post-mortum success is a clear example, no one loves you until your gone
when the world ends I hope this song plays us out
Yeah I agree this is my favorite song ever.

yeah very good song, one of my favorites too! You're probably right about that, makes sense. I don't have the CD to check the booklet. It's rare.
yeah i'm thinking it's 'whine'. god damn i love this song. when it gets to that bridge at 2:54 it just sends it into another universe of awesome.
SDave575 i think you got the lyrics meaning right...i thought the same thing so that's two of us
SDave575 You are correct, it is "whine".
Nice job
first 30 seconds sounds like Smashing Pumpkins track called ,,Eye"
Awsome work ! ,realy sounds great man !

They sounds the same

Failure is no terrible crackhead Smashing Pumpkins.
Just got this sent to me by someone. What does it mean? Last time they spoke to me they said they were blocking me lol
They miss you bro?
