This is about a friend of Maynards who came out of rehab and said that people get self richeous after rehab, and they shouldn't let their halo fall around their neck and choke them. That's what he said on a dvd a while ago.
I like the part where he sings "I'm more than just a little curious how are you plan on making you're amends to the Dead". That line gets to me cuz week by week I sit around a table of recoving addicts who have there halo over there heads, with there 10+ years of sobriety. then we get someone new in and there is no acceptance for the new person. so then when that new person goes out a relapse and they die, I asked myself how did they go about making their amends? this kid came to us for help and very few made time to help. Why be a part of something that stands for nothing anymore. We all need to stand for something.
Maybe someone needs to remind them that once upon a time they were in that spot too. Memories fade over time and I am sure they want to forget. A little reminder couldn't hurt.
Real fukn shit right there! Just messed up. People get clean and look down on the ones that aren't. I tried to help once I got clean i got 3 friends clean. 3 friends that didn't die
this song is just so perfect in every way shape and form. his relaxing voice, the gentle beats, and the message of the song just fit so perfectly together
This song gives me chills whenever I hear it. My uncle who served said that when he was in Iraq, this song was playing in the chopper as him and his team touched down into a combat zone. He took lead for his country and lived to tell me the tale. He's my hero and this song makes me think of him. He brought me here.
+wjye I'm sorry, but I'm sure that Maynard would be angry of reading this. In fact, I think soldiers fit perfectly: "How you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead?" You should listen to Emotive album.
+wjye sorry to say this, but your uncle took lead for the Corporate Fascist States of America. There were no national interests that were defended in Iraq, it was a pure crusade taken on false pretext (the massive lie about Sadam's WMD).
Thank your uncle for me for servicing this country. It is so sad reading these hateful comments. Men and woman putting their lives on the line for ignorant comments and hatred.
I sure hope no one you love serves this country in the military. Because if you said that to their face I am sure they would have some choice words for you.
I relate to this song every time I read the lyrics. I was a horrible addict & would steal money from my aunt & she thought she was losing her mind. One day she confronted me & as all addicts I denied stealing it. The night before she died she told me “I was killing her w/ my behavior & addiction & when she dies everyone would know the reason why she died”. I’ve been sober ten years, I attend church every week, I believe in walking in the footsteps of Jesus but will I be truly saved when I die? I loved this woman & have so much regret to this day. This song always makes me think of my Auntie Jo. Sometimes people aren’t acknowledged for their miracles & this woman should be a saint. Because I’m a different person now.
That was a shitty thing for her to say, that was guilt-trip to the max, I could never love someone like that... sorry.. but thats sick to say that to someone.
I was there too bro. I'll tell you what you can do. There are other addicts just like us and there out there right now. They don't think anyone will ever come for them. They feel like no one will ever love them. But both you and I, and others like us, know this pain. And even though we can't resurrect the dead, maybe we can prevent others from dying. It's hard work because you have to show them infinite patience. But it will give your life purpose and meaning. I'm 42 years old and I've been sober for 11 years now. You and I share this pain in our hearts. That makes us brothers. And it makes you someone who knows perfectly what people like us need. Peace, love, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.
Same! I was an addict for 15 yrs. Did everything I could to get my next fix. My nanny (she raised me from birth) died right in front of me heart failure. Her 1 dying plea for me was to get clean because she knew once she was gone I'd literally spiral out of control worse than I already was. That was in 2013 and for about 4 months after she died I did spiral out big time. The guilt ate me up. But I've been clean since, I just wish she could've seen it.. so I completely understand!!
This song is amazing. Very deep, depressing lyrics. I tend to stick to music that wont make me feel down in the dumps, but I cant help but listen to this masterpiece every now and then.
love seeing how others are seeing the song in their minds so many people argue about the meaning of songs and they can mean a lot of different things to different people
I kno right, I find from tool to perfect circle to Puscifer( all bands where Maynard wrote n sung the songs) it always translates to my soul! And even the same song will translate different ways at times. He has always been on a whole nother level of epicness since day one! ;)
+Dark Mythos This song was played at my best friends funeral this past Nov, he died of an OD =( When the song started playing, part of me died as well. This song has many meanings for many people, for me the loss of a friend from addiction.
+The B Mo I'm so sorry for your loss😔 really I am...I can really relate to that because I'm a recovering addict and my best friend and love, is an addict that still can't get his shit straight. My heart goes out to you and your friend. I think I would be a mess of a crying wreck if I heard this song at a funeral.esp one with the circumstances of your best friend. But it's good to let those cries out. Many peaceful positive vibes to you and i really do think people who pass away, are in a much better place. Don't have any idea what n If any songs will be played at my funeral, lol but anything Maynard is a good choice ;)

This is why I love his songs. His songs have deep meaning both in Tool and A Perfect Circle. People can relate to his songs. And he has kickass vocals. ;)
Billy Howerdel writes the lyrics as well as the sick guitar tracks... He is the one that is to thank for the magnificent lyrics on Mer De Noms and 13th Step.... Check out his other band Ashes Divide. He gets overshadowed by Maynard. But he has ten times the talent.... And to Scott Sargent. Puscifer is a joke. A big joke on all of the useful idiots. They probably make those mindless records in a week, or less.
This guy has such a insight on things. I had nine years clean in NA and been through the steps. Perception is different for people but this song speaks to me about recovery. I can never undo what I have done but try to make amends and not do it again. I'll never be perfect and the only time I should look down on someone is to lift them up. My Halo slippen down.
Guilt and regret leads to stress, which eventually leads to cancer.. Rise to a higher plane than the one you were on when you committed the action which caused you to regret. #surfsup
I had it on repeat while i got my shit together...Got me through a lot really. I do my best to share APC with friends/family and especially those who are struggling with addiction
I have such mixed feelings towards this song and this narrative. I love and hate it and find it both honest and harmful. I love how unique the perspective is and at the same time it breaks my heart. I don’t know who I relate with more: the addict who knows they were wrong and wants to move on or the family member/friend/significant other who can’t forget what they did. I think it’s a beautifully written and heartbreaking part of a complex situation.
Wow. You wrote the words I have been having difficulty expressing. I am the person who won't forgive the addict...ever. I have my reasons, please don't judge. I appreciate your words✌️
Whatever song you listen too, & love. The meaning of the song is what you feel the song is about in whatever way it touches you. It doesn't have to be bad or good. If it touches your soul then that's what it's about. It's art.
Music is subjective. Albeit IMO, THIS is just one example of the pulls of the voices and the melodies, and the each and every other thing necessary to say that what you are listening to, IS in fact, a work of breathtaking awe; wonder and artistic mastery - Vocally and harmonically.
You need to give yourself credit for something you overcame. If you attribute your victory to God, then what will happen if for some reason you lose faith in Him? You stopped the substance abuse, no one did it for you.
The number of times Maynard has brought me to tears is ridiculous. Every once in a while I get something of his in my head and I have to go play the song before it will leave... but first, first I have to hear the song and remember the words. If I'm not crying for myself, I'll cry for someone else. Never fails.
I just love the "more than just a little curious" flow in this song. Not sure if that's the right word, or how to describe it- it's just so smooth. Beautiful!

first time listening to a perfect circle & all i can say is wow. im 18, shipping out to the army in a few months & just had my heart broken. listening to sad music while being sad makes you happy for some odd reason. even tho this is about addiction (i think) i can definitely feel this in my soul
This song is so beautiful, it's almost as if the words become weightless, unintentional, and I enjoy not the syllables, but the sounds, each intwining and blending flawlessly.
A friend on Facebook shared this on her feed. I'm so glad she did. I have been looking for an artist such as this. I love the melancholy feeling this song conveys.
everything has its time man. I loved that song once. Depends what your life has been like. If i hadnt been fucked over (not literally :P) then i might have stayed with micheal jackson

I don't wanna sound like a dick but women aren't the only ppl who suffer from depression and anxiety and certain addictions And yes I am aware this song is about life after addiction Truly a beautiful song
Correction to lyrics of the first verse for those of poor ears: So glad to see you have Overcome them Completely silent now With heaven's help You've cast your demons out
We all have that significant other who was just so evil & then claimed to be reborn! But we know the truth evil evil evil evil I love the overlaying lyrics at the end
This is a powerful song but really it's telling you theres no hope! We humans have CHOICE as in FREE WILL there is a reason music like this resonates with us we don't know about morality. We access these dark relms of our psychology and come to no conclusion. All im saying is choose life!

+Keith Emery 1. You can be depressive without attempting suicide 2. statistics show more girls attempt suicide but comparatively more guys are actually succesful (i.e. they genuinely want to die rather than using it as a cry for help)
Listening to this song 6 years after I got clean is quite surreal. My ex played this to me when I was still using and now here I am.. and the lyrics are rather accurate .. Stay safe x
To me this song speaks a lot on religion. They get rid of the demons then never bother or arent even considering making things right. They think because they are "saved" they get to just keep living like nothing happen... like its someone elses mistakes.
This is what the modern day church will teach so that the people continue to mindlessly sin feeling justified in their own beliefs and pride. However, the Word tells us narrow is the path and few will find the Way. Show me faith without action. It is unfortunate that the corruption of the church and knowledge has and continue to lead those, much like Maynard, away from righteousness. Mindlessly consuming away what is good, a system predicated on stripping away the relationship of Creator and that which He created ultimately leading the world into turmoil, a place we all exist today, Babylon. Marley understood this. Ironically, it is the system of appealing to fleshly wants and desires that creates the inherent addiction so many struggle with; fighting our own inhibitions we turn to materialism thus perpetuating the sinful nature of man, spreading it through imperialism until there is one world, one means of exchange, and ultimately one religion; a religion in which man has deified himself above all.
Love Maynards eargasmic voice for 23yrs now someday my husband and I shall meet him we have grown old listening to that voice creating life to that voice
The line "Recall the deeds as if they're all someone else's atrocious stories, now you stand reformed before us all--- so glad to see you well." I know the type and they're so hard to listen to. Like you made it out, great. But stealing from the people who loved you, getting people hooked just so you didn't have to get high alone, destroying people's lives... All of that stuff you did wasn't done by some other person. You still committed those terrible acts, pretending you never did just because you got sober? It doesn't work like that.
I was clean for 14 years and relapsed in 2010. I've been struggling since then matter of fact I'm on my 4th day locked in a hotel room now. This music is all I have.
omar ramirez I’m in the exact same boat brother, only not having the 10 years clear, only 9 months for me. I can’t go out and look at the world. I swear I’m trapped in dope houses and motel rooms for eternity
You wanna hear something awesome? The way that serene, hollow "peace of mind" riff ends the song with a barely-noticeable little slide down the neck that beautifully disappears into the panicked reality of the next track, "Blue"
Every time, Every single time I listen to one APC's songs, I feel the strange need to jump off of a high cliff at night and just fall. I love Maynard, he is a lyrical genius and has the voice of a thousand angels. Thanks Maynard for your Music.
Clean 5 1/2 years off heroin and I think he's singing this about me lmao. I don't act superior but I'm just a totally different person now and want nothing to do with my past self. I generally keep my past a secret and only tell close people about it. Grateful for the strength and wisdom my past self gave me fucking things up so bad though.

@@jessical578 Its actually weird I don't even think about it much anymore. It's like a past life. That me is dead. Thank you so much I am proud that I survived what would've killed most.
I am also an addict in and out of recovery and this is a song I always felt deeply. I never thought before of the meaning - reading the comments now it’s funny that it resonated with me
No not saying its all about God what I'm saying is in the verse he says with heavens help you cast your demons out. The first step in the twelve steps is admitting you r powerless over your addiction an only an believing in a higher power other than yourself and asking a God of your understanding for help basically. Shit if you believe that the universe r world is your higher power than that's OK. Just as long as you surrender an ask for heavens help your higher power to help you. These songs r recovery based 13 stepping is when you sleep with somebody in recovery an you r in recovery its a mock of the twelve steps. I was in recovery for a very very long time. But your right this song can be what ever you want it to be. It is a very beautiful dark song. It makes me think of my x. I love to listen to it because for some reason I think I enjoy the pain of missing her. She was the first person to send it to me in my worst of my addiction. It takes me deep inside my head. Of pain love struggle beauty life death. Its a powerful song. Anyway have a great day. An sorry about spelling if I spelled wrong I am texting fast.
Callum Blake hey thanks man. I'm just trying my best to explain what I think it is an how it makes me feel. I never get tired of the song that's for sure. It always brings me to back to a very hopeless point in my past when I had gone through and still some what am one of the worst and strange journeys of my life last year. The pain mentally and physically pushed me to a nomadic state of sadness and strength that dazzled and dizzied me almost to a point of madness. My life had shattered into a million peaces like the stars in the night sky. Well anyways thank you again and I'll leave you with this something I had learned along the way its that pain is inevitable and suffering is optional. Keep your head in the cloud and take care.
Cassandra Ellis thank you very much! I just speak from my heart. I think there is a big deference in listening to a song and feeling a song. I believe you listen to a song cause you may like how it sounds but to feel a song that can instantly bring you back to a moment in your life like a time machine is very powerful almost out of body experience. It holds you there so tight and you feel the October air while driving and smoking a cigarette looking over at the woman you love while autumn leaves fall from the trees. You think to yourself I love her and there still may be a chance for love..... The part that brings me back to moments like this while listening to this song and many more is the pain...because it would be the last times we where together.. I later would go down the darkest road of my life in drugs and living in the underground of society.. So now that I'm set free of my own demons I just listen and instantly I can see her and smell her hair blowing in the wind then all I see is dark and the demons who fought for the scraps of my heart.... She has moved on and so must I....but nobody can take away that day in October not even her every time I miss her I will play this song it hurts and Burnes but that is what drives me because pain is all I know its like a shot straight to the soul. There is nothing like it not a drug on earth... If you really know how to feel a song and not just listen. Have a great day..
Got me weak 🥲 I used to listen to this album all the time as a child, during addiction and now. How is it a song I've heard a million times still makes me weak? Maynard has a way with everything I swear
seriously!! me too... My mother passed away 2 days after my 18th bday... she was an alcoholic and a drug user. I am now 30 and it is still like yesterday. Now im older i can feel her pain. It also reminds me of my husband and how i can forgive him... its all just an emotional Rolla coaster... he acts like an angel and i see threw it.
You're mildly correct. It's about anyone who has overcome their addictions, but no matter what they've done they can never change the hardships and pain they caused themselves and others.
Maynard will tell you, his songs have meaning for everyone. Just because the words he wrote meant something to him, it will mean something else to someone else. I can appreciate people trying to figure out what Maynard was getting at, but I find those who find their own meaning, not only in Maynard's words, but any music, extremely more admirable.
Just a beautiful song, never forget where you have been in order to get where you are now. Every saint has a past and every sinner a future.

Mandy Gorney Exactly! "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."
Mandy tell me something, what if someone starts to mix drugs and sex for meditation and spiritual growth, rather than temporarily escaping mind?
Maybe someone needs to remind them that once upon a time they were in that spot too. Memories fade over time and I am sure they want to forget. A little reminder couldn't hurt.
Real fukn shit right there! Just messed up. People get clean and look down on the ones that aren't. I tried to help once I got clean i got 3 friends clean. 3 friends that didn't die
Right on
this song is just so perfect in every way shape and form. his relaxing voice, the gentle beats, and the message of the song just fit so perfectly together
This song is pure death. As soon as it begins, it brings such a coldness. Pure melodic depression. This song is brillaint
You do know what death is right?
This song gives me chills whenever I hear it. My uncle who served said that when he was in Iraq, this song was playing in the chopper as him and his team touched down into a combat zone. He took lead for his country and lived to tell me the tale. He's my hero and this song makes me think of him. He brought me here.
Semper Fi. This song played a few times over in Afghanistan and this why I fucking love the Marine Corps!! but I feel you about hearing this song.
I've barely heard of A Perfect Circle and now i'm hooked. They have great songs and this one in particular is one I can definitely relate to.
***** definitely due to the lyrics
Judith is an epic one as well. Weak and Powerless...Sleeping beauty...Passive...3 libras....Jesus. All of them. End of story lol
Counting Bodies Like Sheep :)
orestes!
charis bruce I am obsessed. I listen to APC or Tool or Puscifer Daily...hes my fave....and Id die for some of his wine lol
I'll pray for you. Godspeed, brother in Christ!
That was a shitty thing for her to say, that was guilt-trip to the max, I could never love someone like that... sorry.. but thats sick to say that to someone.
@@paulv5260
When you get desperate and feel like nothing else you say is working, stuff like this gets said. I’ve heard similar.
I tend to stick to music that wont make me feel down in the dumps, but I cant help but listen to this masterpiece every now and then.
love seeing how others are seeing the song in their minds so many people argue about the meaning of songs and they can mean a lot of different things to different people
For me this song represents me overcoming self harm, and narcotic abuse.
Talk about emotions and feelings translated through sound...
I kno right, I find from tool to perfect circle to Puscifer( all bands where Maynard wrote n sung the songs) it always translates to my soul! And even the same song will translate different ways at times. He has always been on a whole nother level of epicness since day one! ;)
+Dark Mythos This song was played at my best friends funeral this past Nov, he died of an OD =(
When the song started playing, part of me died as well. This song has many meanings for many people, for me the loss of a friend from addiction.
+Jennacide Jinx I want Pusifers 'The Humbling River' played at my funeral for my son =)
Jennacide Jinx Thank you Very Much doll, your kind words mean more than you know. I wish You & Yours nothing but the best! And much Respect to you for your recovery, i know its hard. Even worse if you have to see it. Ive been there. So i feel you it takes a lot of will power ! So sending You Positive Energy in the battle for your Love.
Love is Worth it & Love Heals all.
Much Love =)

This is why I love his songs. His songs have deep meaning both in Tool and A Perfect Circle. People can relate to his songs. And he has kickass vocals. ;)
check out his other act puscifer
Billy Howerdel writes the lyrics as well as the sick guitar tracks... He is the one that is to thank for the magnificent lyrics on Mer De Noms and 13th Step.... Check out his other band Ashes Divide. He gets overshadowed by Maynard. But he has ten times the talent.... And to Scott Sargent. Puscifer is a joke. A big joke on all of the useful idiots. They probably make those mindless records in a week, or less.
obeyvirtues I think some of the songs are great. But I agree mostly
Yea, stinkfist has a deep meaning.
Like shoulder deep
this song is deep. The lyrics were very well thought out and the instrumental is so astonishing.
This song gives me goose bumps...
Fuck yes it does
Lyric's that have to be lived to be understood properly!!
Damn this is an amazing song! Been listening to MJK since i was 13, 21 years later and his music still stirs up emotions I never knew I had before.
one of my favourite A Perfect Circle tracks.... great melody and the drums sound amazing with a good sound system.
I've had this song on repeat the entire year.
I have #noregrets
do you mind telling us why?
Guilt and regret leads to stress, which eventually leads to cancer.. Rise to a higher plane than the one you were on when you committed the action which caused you to regret. #surfsup
Intresting thought. Thank you for sharing
When I bought the album I would play it for days on end
Well said
This song leaves me breathless.
this song is downright ugly
This is one of the songs I learned on the drums when I was a teenager. This was my favorite band. Don't mind me, just remembering.
God! This is my ALL TIME favourite song of theirs! Please play this in Portland!!! 😁
As a life long abuser of any substance I could get my hands on, I thank GOD 4victory!!! It is nothing I have done without HIS HELP!!
Troy Williams God isn't real.. You overcame that on your own.
This dude clearly didn’t bother to try and understand this song...at all
You need to give yourself credit for something you overcame. If you attribute your victory to God, then what will happen if for some reason you lose faith in Him? You stopped the substance abuse, no one did it for you.
@@tcswed yes i did it by myself after 25 years heroine and cocaïne ,,,,tool eulogy
The number of times Maynard has brought me to tears is ridiculous. Every once in a while I get something of his in my head and I have to go play the song before it will leave... but first, first I have to hear the song and remember the words. If I'm not crying for myself, I'll cry for someone else. Never fails.
ahhh maynard.. how i love you
Just as gorgeous as your picture..

Hang in there.
Power and love to you!
The lyrics are so amazing. I love the sound of his voice and the music!
Maynards voice is beautiful!such a masterpiece.
first time listening to a perfect circle & all i can say is wow. im 18, shipping out to the army in a few months & just had my heart broken. listening to sad music while being sad makes you happy for some odd reason. even tho this is about addiction (i think) i can definitely feel this in my soul
Absolutely powerful, great song to lean on through my own recovery. Well done with the video!
This song is so beautiful, it's almost as if the words become weightless, unintentional, and I enjoy not the syllables, but the sounds, each intwining and blending flawlessly.
If we all had holo’s everyone would be wearing a necklace
A friend on Facebook shared this on her feed. I'm so glad she did. I have been looking for an artist such as this. I love the melancholy feeling this song conveys.
I had to come here immediately after making the mistake of listening to Blood On The Dance Floor.
everything has its time man. I loved that song once.
Depends what your life has been like. If i hadnt been fucked over (not literally :P) then i might have stayed with micheal jackson

I don't wanna sound like a dick but women aren't the only ppl who suffer from depression and anxiety and certain addictions
And yes I am aware this song is about life after addiction
Truly a beautiful song
This is a great song for younger individuals to use as a way of self healing.

Correction to lyrics of the first verse for those of poor ears:
So glad to see you have
Overcome them
Completely silent now
With heaven's help
You've cast your demons out
We all have that significant other who was just so evil & then claimed to be reborn!

Like the song gravity
After i got sober and thought of myself so high this song pulled me back down to earth and its what i needed
I'm here because *I* have great taste in music
I’m no wordsmith. Maynard gave me life MANY times. I’m grateful and full of respect.
Not all depressed people are girls
luckylemonturtle2 And not all have the time or motivation to take hipster selfies
***** I never got interviewed for that. I'm sure you never took a poll either. Nor has turtle person. Just pointing out that statistics like that are always false, because they test only certain people on earth. not everyone takes part.
I've never believed internet statistics because of that.
Just my opinion bro, take care.
+luckylemonturtle2 my exact first thought
you are wrong. do at least a little research before you go making yourself look dumb.
Stay safe x

every year i always come back to all the old music i grew up with especially this one since it came out
one of my favs!!!
recall the deeds as if there're all someone else's atrocious stories, now you stand before us all, so glad to see you well
To me this song speaks a lot on religion. They get rid of the demons then never bother or arent even considering making things right. They think because they are "saved" they get to just keep living like nothing happen... like its someone elses mistakes.
For some its drugs, alcohol, and for some it could be doing basic day to day tasks. It's deep and thought provoking
Eric Hamby its about ppl in recovery
Maynard is athiest. So it may not be about religion to him, but that doesn't mean lyrics aren't open to interpretation either
Love Maynards eargasmic voice for 23yrs now someday my husband and I shall meet him we have grown old listening to that voice creating life to that voice
i LOVE A Perfect Circle and Tool and Maynard. i just wanted you to know that XD
Thank you for sharing over the net, now we know. I feel a personal need to appreciate and reciprocate : I do too.
If you love Maynard, dont forget puscifer. Seems too many of yuns do lol
One of my favorites songs of all time!!! Moral of the song is to stay humble!!!
This is a very chilling song
The line "Recall the deeds as if they're all someone else's atrocious stories, now you stand reformed before us all--- so glad to see you well." I know the type and they're so hard to listen to. Like you made it out, great. But stealing from the people who loved you, getting people hooked just so you didn't have to get high alone, destroying people's lives... All of that stuff you did wasn't done by some other person. You still committed those terrible acts, pretending you never did just because you got sober? It doesn't work like that.
That line is the one that gives me chills every time. Maynard is beautiful.
Reminds me of all that have come and gone through my life.Maynard is a lyrical genius.🤘
I swear I’m trapped in dope houses and motel rooms for eternity
omar ramirez I hope you are still fighting your best
Hope you found your way back
Cause you basically commit suicide doing them clean 25 years , it's my song to the dealers
I'm good, I've been clean for 1 year and a half.
You wanna hear something awesome?
The way that serene, hollow "peace of mind" riff ends the song with a barely-noticeable little slide down the neck that beautifully disappears into the panicked reality of the next track, "Blue"
" this video was made on Windows Movie Maker when I was in high school FOREVER AGO."

Awesome job with the lyrics but also extremely grateful for the audio. Amazing job!! I had to subscribe!
Jeremy Hudson Gave me shivers.
Beautifully said. I can relate to this song as well.
I can definitely relate and can relate to this song in more than just one way.
Got me weak 🥲 I used to listen to this album all the time as a child, during addiction and now. How is it a song I've heard a million times still makes me weak? Maynard has a way with everything I swear
This song reminds me of my mother
seriously!!
Maynard is a God
yes. a prophet for sure.
Maynard IS God.
Mary Mccullock indeed
Maynard is God

Maynard will tell you, his songs have meaning for everyone. Just because the words he wrote meant something to him, it will mean something else to someone else. I can appreciate people trying to figure out what Maynard was getting at, but I find those who find their own meaning, not only in Maynard's words, but any music, extremely more admirable.
I couldnt have said it better myself
