See I always looked at the lyrics as a message to MJK's mother. How she found Jesus and became so deeply religious, yet her savior still let her suffer from a paralyzing cerebral aneurism. He couldn't understand how she still remained religious and for that, he was mad at her. Am I right or wrong, matters not. That's the beauty of MJK's lyrical interpretation. He sort of leaves it open to interpretation to get the listener to think.

Now its still a war but the major battles have been won and I'm getting ready to prepare for another siege unto my addictive behaviors this next one may be the hardest yet or maybe the tools I have now will work no matter what though every time I hear this song I have to sing along out loud directing the word toward myself and the shell of a human inside.

He didn't understood at all some aspects of the way of view of his mother of what was happening to her and her destiny, like for example, her faith of God until the end of her life. The difference between "my" and "the" completely changes the meaning of the song.I think the doctor is not actually talking to the coma patient, he's actually talking to the husband/boyfriend (the protagonist of the song) whose wife/girlfriend (the antagonist) is probably in a coma from something stupid she did, such as getting in a drunk driving accident or leaving the house in a fit of rage during an argument and having a car accident, i.e. being passive aggressive (probable.) Just my thoughts about the meaning.

Wasnt it too his mom judith/ marie who suffered a paralyzing brain aneurysm when he was a little boy...she was kept alive for years (10,000 days) but as a unresponsive paraplegic and for years his step father was molesting him while they took care of her so this was all this rage towards his otherwise dead mom
So I'm determining why people are detracted from me. then i learned that i might be autistic, and the feelings that i feel are not human but of one of a disease. when i hear this song i feel the wrath of people who had to deal with me. I am one of those people who are passive aggressive- and the only defense is the suffering i feel on a daily basis. that argument falls flat once you realize that no one is special, yet you are the one who causes the suffering.
i listen to this song so i can pretend to scream at myself and not register that what i am doing even by no choice is causing suffering. aspergers syndrome is a fucking curse.
