    Telling ANYONE about his powers would be dangerous, a Luthor is worse.

      Lex didnt start becoming a ,"Luthor " until like,S3. Judging someone in their surname is prejudice. I understand its a show and they have to follow the comics, but in real life its foolish. Everyone should be judged on their own merits. We cant play God

      I can also argue that telling a friend about powers is also helpful. When Jonathan died, Martha told Chloe she wasnt sure if she could carry Clarks secret alone. Plus chloe knowing Clarks weakness was handy whenever Clark was under evil control . As long as villains don't know. Sadly Lionel did

    I like the line where Clark mentions that broken ribs feel better than being around meteor rocks, it helps illustrate how painful it is every time he is around them

      I've cracked ribs in the past and if they're more painful than that I feel for Clark whenever he's around them, even breathing anything other than the breathing you'd use when meditating is almost unbearable.

    It's been ages since I've watched this. It's pretty funny going through it again and watching Clark constantly gaslighting Lex. It's no wonder he goes nuts and becomes a Super Villain.

      He shouldnt tell shit to Lex, its something really big and personal and they just met on these days/weeks, months, he is right on this episode about what he gives to Lex on that friendship, Lex should be grateful enough for all that coming from Clark, the best advices, he saved his life many times since they met, he even defended and gave him a personal space that nobody else gave him before...oh wait thats not true, someone did! Guess who? Duncan, and what did Lex did to him? Remember now? Well ...clearly the dark path of Lex started way before, imagine doing that shit as a kid and now that he's adult and no inocent at all, and with some clear envy and not so good ambitions, what do think he can do? He always was doing some nice stuff to get the secret revealed, plus the kid Ryan can read minds and he said since this season that there's something bad about Lex inside him. Also, Lex told Clark in season 4 that his dark side didnt go farther because of the good influence Clark gave to him all that time, otherwise he could have fallen way before.

      @@educhi1989 umm BOTH Lana and Chloe were also annoyed by Clark not telling his secret...not just Lex. At first i was annoyed by their constant complaining but then i understood if hiding something threatens a relationship, its better to just share it. You can claim its "personal" but Clark mainly did it to protect them. Plus when Chloe found out in S4, Clark told her he wanted to tell her for a while anyway. Another reason why Clark should've told his friends himself is becuase they eventually found out on their own in horrible ways. Some things are out of Clarks hands. Pete found his space ship and Alicia exposed Clark to Chloe. Lex may have already had skeletons in his closet but the Clark issue was apparently the biggest. So i disagree. He shouldve told Lex.

      @@lessismore8533 It's none of their business and he doesn't owe them his secrets. Lex and Lana kept prying, kept insisting that he tell them; they acted like they were entitled to know personal things about him. Are you going to sit there and pretend like you tell everybody everything about yourself? Are you seriously going to act like people constantly trying to pry into your life to find out more about you for their own personal satisfaction, without your consent, is okay?

    That kid mastered his powers a lot faster than Clark!

      There are too many lies in Smallville for sure. It's like a vicious circle. I understand why Clark doesn't tell Lex but you can't expect another person to be completely open either.

    I really don't blame Clark for not telling his secret to Lex because he just met him. Who really tells a big secret to someone you barely know?

    • @lostgamer1261

      True, i understand why he doesn't tell Lex, even though i would :) But there are too many secrets on both sides and I'm pretty sure that's what is going to cause the most turmoil. I don't think Lex has the ability to walk away and just drop his suspicions, which makes me sad.

    Great reaction. I really liked the fact that Clark lost his powers for a whole episode, just to make him realize how special he is and so that he doesn’t take his gift for granted. As opposed to Clark, Eric wasn’t afraid of flaunting his newfound abilities around for the whole world to see and even using them in a wrong way. That’s the difference between him and Clark. Clark is not one to seek out the spotlights, he just wants to have a normal life while saving people whenever he can. Indeed, I feel the same way about Lex, he should have told him the truth. He’s his closest friend and he’d totally understand. Keeping secrets from him is not cool.

    • @freshPrincess626
      @freshPrincess626 5 месяцев назад

      Eric had no idea about the consequences of his abilities, he wasn't raised and parented in that like Clark was--plus he was bullied and abused both at school and at home, so getting a taste of power over people, it makes sense he misused it.
      Why would Clark tell Lex such risky information after knowing him for like 10 minutes? His best friends since childhood don't even know at this point.
