With all due respect, this is not true at all. Mizos since their early ancestors, were from China and slowly slowly they migrated towards India over a couple of centuries. They had their own folk religion, worshipping Pu Vana which basically means a Man in the Sky... They also had tribal rituals and traditions offering sacrificials to plants and some even to the sun. This is completely different from Hinduism. They ate all kinds of meat including Snakes, frogs, cows, bulls, tigers, wild hogs..etc. These are all tribal tradition, you won't find it in Hinduism.

Have you ever heard of westward migration from India, see if you read unbiased history then you will get to know that there were Bharatiya tribes that migrated after the famous War of 10 kings obviously they followed Sanatan. When the aryans came into the Indus Valley Civilisation (which was formed by the austro and dravidian tribes) then they got intermixed with these tribes and these aryans (who came from Iran) assimilated many of the tribal customs, rituals and gods into their own culture. For eg, God Shiva is a tribal god of the Santhal and possibly its sibling tribes and not actually an aryan god. Our ancestors were not Christians but their beliefs were not the same with hinduism and British missionaries came to Mizoram years ago and shared and taught the gospel to our ancestors and that is why we have strict morals and respect for our fellow human beings unlike yall. Ralnaa had a son named Zahmuaka and Zahmuaka had 6 sons and one of them was named Thangura. Thangura begot Sailoa. And from Sailoa, the Sailo clan was born. The Sailo clan were the Cheifs of the Lushai Hills. In our Sakhua, we regarded the Muchhip mountain as a Holy place and our ancestors used to Worship the Muchhip and everytime they pray, they used to mention the Muchhip mountain. With all due respect, this is not true at all. Mizos since their early ancestors, were from China and slowly slowly they migrated towards India over a couple of centuries. They had their own folk religion, worshipping Pu Vana which basically means a Man in the Sky... They also had tribal rituals and traditions offering sacrificials to plants and some even to the sun. This is completely different from Hinduism. They ate all kinds of meat including Snakes, frogs, cows, bulls, tigers, wild hogs..etc. These are all tribal tradition, you won't find it in Hinduism.

Hinduism isn't actually a religion rather its a product of intermixing of different cultures. When the aryans came into the Indus Valley Civilisation (which was formed by the austro and dravidian tribes) then they got intermixed with these tribes and these aryans (who came from Iran) assimilated many of the tribal customs, rituals and gods into their own culture.
For eg, God Shiva is a tribal god of the Santhal and possibly its sibling tribes and not actually an aryan god. There is a reason why some of the hindu/sanatani gods matches the greek and viking gods while most of the hindu gods are dravidian and austro gods.
Also, the IVC expands from pakistani punjab to some parts of Bengal. There are megaliths in jharkhand reason possibly from IVC.

1. Dont be offended, but christianity is kind of a new thing in North east. Relatively at least. 200 years at max, right? So people are kind of more respecting and caring. Heck I will go as far as to saying you guys seem more christian to me than the italy or the vatican is right now (back their at home)
2. You guys go to churches, read bible and do other religious stuff right? I've heard many muslims remember their whole quran. They read namaz 5 times a day or was it azaan idk but yeah they respect their religion too. But I kid you not when I say this, you will barely find a hindu who has even touched the vedas, let alone read it. Hell majority may not even be able to name all of them. And I am no different. I havent read them, neither the gita nor ramayana/mahabharat. Ironically, the only stuff I know is whatever was compulsory in syllabus. And I think its been 4 years since I last went to a temple. (not a thing I am proud of) But you see how it is. I turned out like this because parents never taught anything about religion, school expects us to know all moral stuff and whatnot. I for myself can say that my parents did teach me how to behave in public and how to treat others. But thats just moral compass. So basically religion does not play any role here in setting some ideals in people's minds. Everyone is in a hurry of something and it ends up in total chaos. And I agree with that honking part. The impatience here is real. I once had some ear damage due to traffic. My ears kept hurting for hours.

I think tbh she has a clear misconception about the ancient culture and tradition of the Mizos.Our ancestors believed that there was an almighty God(Pu Vana/Khuanu)(one God) who is watching them and has everything that they could've imagined of even before they migrated from Central-East Asia. Ralnaa had a son named Zahmuaka and Zahmuaka had 6 sons and one of them was named Thangura. Thangura begot Sailoa. And from Sailoa, the Sailo clan was born. The Sailo clan were the Cheifs of the Lushai Hills.
In our Sakhua, we regarded the Muchhip mountain as a Holy place and our ancestors used to Worship the Muchhip and everytime they pray, they used to mention the Muchhip mountain. And for this reason,there is a clan called Muchhipchhuak.
There is one clan in Lusei tribe called Hauhulh. One notable person from the Hauhulh clan was Zawlnei Saikhuma. He received a message from Pathian in 1962-1965. He was a Zawlnei that prophesied that we Mizo are going to go through two dark ages. The first dark age was already fulfilled which was the Mizo Uprising of 1966. The second dark age is not yet fulfilled. According to his prophecy, in this second dark age, 2nd Indo-China War and WW3 will break out and China will win and the Chinese will occupy Mizoram for a temporary period and 2/3rd of Zo population will be wiped out. After that China will Zoram and the rest that survived the ethnic cleansing will enter the Theocratic Kingdom of Zoram. His prophecy are happening accurately these days.
