I'm from Aizawl, Mizoram...to tell you the truth, no Meitei is/was in danger and no harm was coming to them. We Mizo are not savages. Meitei of Mizoram are far more safer here in Mizoram than in their own state. Yes, we are angry at what we see happening against our brothers & Sisters in Manipur. But it doesn't mean we are going to harm them or take revenge. Harming them means we are no different. We Mizo people are peaceful people, killing or taking lives isn't our nature. The statement made by PAMRA, as a Mizo we had to respect them. So, we allowed the Meitei's to leave peacefully and like I said even if they don't leave, they were in no danger and no harm was ever coming to them.

Mizoram is not boiling like you have highlighted. We Mizo are showing our support towards our brothers and sisters. Mizoram is one of the peaceful state in India. In fact Mizoram Government issued police to protect Meitei who resides here in Mizoram.
Meitei people living in Mizoram clearly knew how peaceful is Mizoram. Now ,as we saw in some news, Meitei people who left Mizoram said they wanted to go back to Mizoram. This shows what Mizoram is.
There was no eviction but were asked to stay and also given protection which wasn't even necessary. Some Meitei families from our locality are still residing there and going on with their everyday work.

First of all determine who is a Manipuri. Learn a little history of the people you are judging. Just because you have lost your history to Jesus Christ, doesn't mean everybody else in the region forgets or ignores their history too. Meiteis will not go down without a fight. Manipur belongs to Manipuris and they are the Meiteis. If Kukis think they are also Manipuris, they will try coexisting which is an anathema to the Christian and Muslim ideologies. "Exodus" "Threatened", I don't think think these are the words the Meitei's leaving Mizoram would have used. The Meitei's who had to leave would gladly come back, they were assured safety wither they choose to stay or leave, but due to the number of displaced Kuki zo that Mizoram has had to aid, the community and state were more concerned for the safety of the small population of Meitei's in Mizoram and as a precaution they were ADVISED to leave for the time being until the situation can be fixed. "Exodus" "Threatened", I don't think think these are the words the Meitei's leaving Mizoram would have used. The Meitei's who had to leave would gladly come back, they were assured safety wither they choose to stay or leave, but due to the number of displaced Kuki zo that Mizoram has had to aid, the community and state were more concerned for the safety of the small population of Meitei's in Mizoram and as a precaution they were ADVISED to leave for the time being until the situation can be fixed. If the Manipur CM and his militia had not caused a civil war between the communities they would be happily and peacefully still living in Mizoram like everyone else
