Once I began alternating foundation-less frames in between plastic foundations, I found they started building comb amazingly fast. I recall from a prior video you were adamant about not using foundation-less frames. But in this video you mention at least two times that they are not drawing out wax quickly as you'd like... so I'd just thought I'd mention foundation-less frames again as an option to try out (I apologize for being repetitive. Just wanted to reiterate what's worked really good for me) , Love watching your progress! Thanks again for uploading your progress
& yeah... I understand about feedback of advice. But still, it's good to keep an open mind simply for consideration purposes and knowledge. I look at beekeeping the same way I look at gardening. There is no right way or wrong way. Its simply trial & error and repetition until you find that comfort zone. Appreciate your time
That is intriguing. Perhaps not having the plastic foundation causes them to feel more need to create more wax? Wax creation is one aspect of beekeeping I certainly still don't understand. I've read there are methods/theories out there for having "wax creating" hives, but I don't recall the method. Perhaps it was similar to what you're saying. I'd have to learn more about it - up to now I've happily enjoyed the "plug and play" of the plastic foundations.
I love your channel. you are about 6 months ahead of me so it's great to see what I've got coming once here in australia heads back into spring. too much advice does tend to leave you full of self doubt. keep up the great work
Nope, I've got zero advice for you. ;D All I can tell you is bees buzz and when they're upset they sting. LOL I just enjoy watching your bee videos. :D
I'm experiencing the same slow drawing out of wax using foundation. I'm getting ready to start alternating between foundationless and foundation frames until we phase out foundation.
We stopped. We're just too busy with the sun staying up longer and too tired to be good hosts. Perhaps we'll do it again in winter - make it a seasonal thing. Maybe.
I know nothing about bee keeping- in fact I am nervous around them. I really do enjoy watching/learning from your videos. Keep up the good work.
I don't blame you, the sting isn't exactly pleasant. Thanks for watching!
Congrats with 25K! Awsome👍
Thank you :-D

I've heard others try that. Let us know how it goes for you!
Feed for comb so I was told but I assume you know don't need frames drawn out anymore
Have you stopped doing livestreams or am I looking at the wrong day or time?
