    Beginner Okinawan karate training vs basic beginner army combative training, brute strength and muscle. Julie overcame the odds courtesy of Miyagi's training of a mere two weeks making her that skilled. Unrealistic or not.

      She has been doing Miyagi karate when she was a little girl. The same lessons that Mr. Miyagi taught her grandfather he taught to his son who then taught Julie so yeah it was more like finishing her training and what better way to finish it then with the master himself.

    I feel like Ned was holding back in this scene compared to the times he fought against Eric. Every single opportunity he had to capitalize on his advantage and give her the same beating he and his buddies gave Eric, he just kinda hesitates.

    • @castortroy7704
      @castortroy7704 Год назад

      That's a plausible possibility Ned held back some. A possibility. Ned could've beaten Eric one on one but it would've been a close fight. He took Eric down in the mild one on one rooftop scuffle after Eric shoved Ned backwards to the edge of the school rooftop, and at the docks Eric hit all three of Ned's friends randomly attacking him in turn vs jumping him all at once and Ned beat Eric down everytime Eric swung at him.

      Why would he hold back though in a fight here? Like then why would he just embarrass himself like that? That makes no sense. I think Julie here is just a much better fighter here. I don't see how Ned had any advantage here in this fight when Julie was whopping his ass throughout.

    Julie was actually taught karate by two people. One being Julie's late WWII veteran father and the second being Mr. Miyagi. Julie's father served under Mr. Miyagi in WWII and Miyagi taught Julie's father karate. Julie's father taught her the Okinawan style of Miyagi-Doh karate for several years throughout her childhood and later in her teenage years in the movie Mr. Miyagi trained Julie in the Okinawan Miyagi-Doh style of karate at the Buddhist monastery for two weeks and Miyagi's two weeks of karate training basically completed Julie's martial arts training she was taught in her childhood by her dad. Despite Julie being completely inexperienced in full contact hand to hand combat in a real street fight without rules or points or a referee Julie's childhood karate training from her dad combined with Mr. Miyagi's two weeks of karate training in Miyagi-Doh made Julie a very good, flexible capable, fast and skilled martial arts fighter. Julie's self-confidence, courage and her childhood karate training from her late war veteran father throughout her childhood that was trained by Mr. Miyagi in WWII and Mr. Miyagi's two weeks of Miyagi-Doh Okinawan Karate training completed Julie's karate training basically. Julie destroyed Ned easily without any challenge and Ned didn't put up a fight or land a single punch, strike or kick aside from blinding Julie with sand and countering a kick from Julie with a combat leg takedown to the ground but Ned let Julie recover and as Ned finally moved in on Julie to strike Julie floored Ned with one final head kick. Ned was physically far much stronger, muscular, aggressive and had three years of army combatitive training from Colonel Dugan composed of the hand to hand combat styles of boxing, kickboxing, Judo and Hapkido. But Julie's Okinawan Karate training from her father and Mr. Miyagi years later as a teenager wrecked Ned flawlessly. Ned against your average teenager was actually a very skilled, strong, capable combat academy student in Colonel Dugan's JHROTC High-school security fraternity combat group and a capable, above average juvenile skilled hand to hand combat fighter but the weakest/least skilled Karate Kid villain. Ned would've beaten Eric one on one, however. In the Alpha Elite five on one gang beatdown the Alphas ambushed Eric and ganged up on Eric five against one including Dugan who watched on as his students assaulted Eric but the Alpha Elite gang members took turns beating up as opposed to jumping him all at once at the same time. Eric charged Ned first at full health to strike Ned and Ned effortlessly countered Eric's attempted right punch with a fake knee strike and an elbow strike to the face that dropped Eric to the ground like a ton of bricks, Eric got back up to grab and hit Ned back but Ned backed away and Gabe grabbed Eric in a headlock from behind, Eric easily elbowed and winded Gabe to break out of the rear headlock and Charlie kicked Eric in the chest with a front kick that knocked Eric down again. As Morgan tried to grab Eric, Eric easily dropped Morgan with a right hook, charged Ned again to throw a punch that Ned blocked and countered with a knee strike to the chest that dropped Eric to the ground again, Charlie tries to pick Eric up so the Alphas can continue beating him and Eric choked Charlie before Ned bum rushed Eric from behind, secured Eric in a headlock and turning Eric around and knocking Eric down again with a left punch. Eric would've beaten Ned's friends easily one on one though. Ned took Eric down in the rooftop mild one on one scuffle. Luring Eric into a five on one gang ambush and beatdown was truly the ultimate coward's move but Ned knew he possibly couldn't take Eric alone because Eric was evenly matched to himself and a former member of his group and Ned wasn't gonna fight fair over the girl, Ned wanted to insure an absolute victory to win the girl over and it was more so Colonel Dugan's personal revenge plot on Eric for quitting his group. It was done to do more damage and instill more fear into Eric. It was about power, dominance and revenge. One on one Eric vs Ned would've been a very competitive, evenly matched fight but Ned would've won either way. Ned was physically much stronger, muscular, aggressive, and slightly more skilled in combat with their army combative training from Colonel Dugan. Note that when Ned blinded Julie temporarily with sand to gain an advantage, Eric told Mr. Miyagi to stop the fight instead of stepping in to defend his girlfriend and fight Ned himself because Eric knew he wasn't physically strong enough to take Ned down himself and Eric was still injured from the gang beating.

    Ned's 2 to 3 years of army combatitive training from Colonel Dugan was no match for Julie's short two weeks of karate training from Mr. Miyagi. Unrealistic but I guess Julie's karate was that much more skilled than Ned's combatitive training and far superior physical strength/size advantage. But I do think Ned could've won against Eric one on one without his gang although it would've been a competitive fight. The rooftop fight and him dropping Eric with one elbow before his friends jumped in plus blocking and countering Eric's last punch with a knee to the chest that floored Eric again said this to me. Cobra kai would mop the floor with the Alpha Elite easily though. Lmao

      @@castortroy7704 Yep. I’d like the comment on your point about Eric vs Ned. I agree that Ned would win since in their group fight, he was able to hit every other member but every time he charged at Ned he was countered and thrown to the ground. He was also the first one to charge at Ned and got dropped for it.
      Along with this, Dugan who had been training them both says “Ned could’ve beaten him with his arms tied” which implies he saw him as a much better student. Not sure if Ned could actually do that, but I think it solidifies a gap.
