JUNE 6TH, BOOK KICKSTARTER GOES LIVE!! Prologue + Five chapters will be available to read for FREE. Synopsis below :)
For two years a peasant rebellion has spread throughout East Valya in lands ruled by Northern Delrothian nobility. The Emperor has set sail to deal with it personally but the nobility of the Empire's heartland do not trust him for he had previously sided with Elves over his own people in a dispute that had sparked at the beginning of his reign. How desperate are the nobility of Northern Delroth to keep their gains in distant lands?
In the heartlands of the Empire the Emperor's grandson, Prince Damien Arivos, must deal with the insistent expectations that come with the name he had been given at birth. For young Damien was named after the single greatest Arivos Prince to ever live, The Starlight Prince.
In the largest city in the world, Arlyn's Bay, hunger and anger grows day by day as the wealthy and powerful use the Elven Rebellion and East Valyan Rebellion as justification to ever increase the cost of bread and grain. Cam, a simple dockworker, is desperate to help the people all around him.
On Ascension and Remembrance Day, both the Prince and Commoner will make decisions that push them down a path neither expected.

React to Potential History's Operation Barbarossa series
02:52 - I hate dubs... They look like they are robots and amateurs reading a text... Japan has awesome voice actors, and it's a professional recognized and well paid job (specially more profitable is voicing in erotic visual novels in Japan!)
OK since no one has explained WHY THEY FIGHT in CIVILIAN AREAS, I'll explain here:
You see, in GuP world, the Civilians are evacuated before any match and they get to watch the match to boot! If any building is destroyed during the match, the government is fully responsible for refunding the owner of that building to the latest penny, even sometimes getting a small bonus so that he improves whatever building he had (Mostly shops)!
Fun fact: The JP fans loved this show so much that they raised 20000 Euros I think just to save the last surviving BT-42 by buying it a roof and further maintenance on it.
*sad music* Every year, dozens of tanks are left without a home. For just 20,000 euros you too can adopt a tank.
@@fun_police8011 Where do I sign up?
🎶In the Aaaaarms ooff the Aaaangels…..🎶
OK the status of the Karl Gerat as a tank was brought into question in the show the guy who’s in charge of the tanker E league for Japan tells the administrator “You forced us to approve that vehicle specifically for this match didn’t you? It’s an open top? Is it even a tank?” And I. Wouldn’t be surprised if Katyusha believed that Nonna and Klara had died. Because I might think they’d be dead if they suffered a direct hit from a 600 mm naval artillery shell too.
*tankery league.
Goddamn talk to text
That scene when the Pravda school escapes the hilltop is so good! It's one of my favourite scenes in the series. The writing, the music and everything else about it makes it hit you straight in the feels even though you know that nobody gets killed or even seriously hurt.
You forget it for a few seconds.
for fking real lol. I teared up abit when klara sacrifices her and whole tank
The Ferris Wheel thing rolling and the movie that the Rabbit team watches is a homage to the Steven Spielberg WW2 comedy '1941'. The mechanical 'Bear with a cannon shell' riding cart is a reference to the bear 'Wojtek', a Syrian bear adopted by the Free Polish Army and was used as a mascot. Joined them in taking Monte Casino, where Wojtek helped in carry artillery shells.
after the war Wojtek lived out his final years at a British zoo so at least on English town loves him as much as Poland
I love that the Rabbit team gets usable tactics from watching war films.
Erwin also references it as "the great panjandrum" which was a British weapon idea considered for the Norway landings, but was later abandoned.
Miho and Maho are sisters BTW
Also Potential History didn't go too far into how the game is played and why it's "safe". First off. The tanks are lined with special armor that is both light extremely tough (which explains the ridiculous speed they go). The shells that they use are ceramic which shatter upon impact with anything (the explosions they make are for show only). Tanks are lined with sensors that will pop up a white flag if a "fatal" hit or crash or malfunction is detected. It's called "live" ammo because they the ammo used in the matches themselves and not dummy round used for target practice. With this it's is mentioned in one of the special episodes, 10.5, that injuries and FATALITIES have occurred in the sport. Much like how American Football has guys in padding and helmets but injuries still occur and there is a rare death as well.
The carl garad got allowed because some rule that allowed even heavier vehicles got passed just before their match
Yeah that bear (18:24) is a referance to real bear that was saved by Polish army, given an rank and even carrying ammo cases while in battle for Monte Cassino(Italy). Look it up :D
Modern anime series only run for about 12 episodes in a season though there are exceptions to this such as My Hero, AOT and Demon Slayer which are multi season shows. The occasional 24 episode season is split between two different seasons of anime. An average anime runtime is from 4 hours to 8 hours for a single season. The average episode length is from 22 to 24 minutes.
16:04 Technically, according to a stretched interpretation of the rules in the anime, that mortar is a tank. Spoiler:

The bald guy tried to call out tank Hitler for cheating because of the mortar, but tank Hitler used a weird interpretation of the rules to keep the mortar in the match.
Potential History also made a video covering the history behind Girls und Panzer das Finale. I recommend you to watch that as well!
You’ve gotta watch the show it’s so good.
Me: who would not cry when losing a trump card making your arsenal got really nerfed
The original anime was only 12 episodes long. There is Der Film and a movie series that is planned to have 6 more movies by the end and of the 6 planned 3 have been released with the fourth coming this fall. The movie series is called das Finale.
How do tell him there are 6 planned movies (Das Finale 6 parts), 3 parts already aired, and PH already reviewed the first one?
Sub is superior.
Because the anime you complain about are the super generic mainstream crap.
Dub is for monolinguals & tourists/casuals/
TRUE!!!
He also reviewed das finale part 1 but ye said he won't review the other parts
There is a video "history of girl und panzer das final"
What I loved about the movie:
Klara's almost exclusively speaking russian - and that annoys Mini-Stalin. ^^
17:36 tutel
this guy doesn't seem to mention that the tanks are modified somewhat to be slightly more modern, so they can do stuff that the original tanks wouldn't be able to do
The karl gerat is actually illegal for use in sensha dō (tankery) because it is a mortar for extra long distance attacks not close quarters fights like tanks
"Sorry, sub ain't superior." - Dubby
Look, when the dub version has to edit blood splatter to shit splatter, you might wanna think about the context of subs.
"You can't be racist if you make fun of everybody, including yourself" - some similiar videos
Since his video there's been a few new "episodes" of GuP so I do hope he will cover them at some point. It would be nice if you could react to the anime itself as well. Thanks for your video!
Oh, and on the same kind of spirit as girls und panzer there is also High School Fleet. I think you can guess what it's about.
Also what is that board game at 10:38? I'd love to try it
It was nice but you missed some lore of GuP.
Miho & maho are sisters not friends.
Boko has always been favourite for miho and alice. They both hold back the fire.
All tanks that can be used in sensha-do are tanks that were used, developed and had working prototypes.
The mortar was that dck head principles idea to try and guarantee that they'd lose so he could shut down the school and poket everything it made
There’s more. There is a video on “the history behind Girls und Panzer das Finale”
The karl mortar was allowed as an extra way to try and screw over Oorai.
I wonder why no Morden Tanks don’t have an Emergency Drivable road wheels (like BT7) when track is blown off. To make the Tank able to be operated for getting out from the gun fight. Maybe because too complicated to be added in?
Track to road is not a thing you can do on field, gup really simplified the process by alot.
When the track is blown off (let say, by land mines or enemy tanks/guns), the roadwheels mostly would be damaged as well, making this whole thing pointless
Thankfully he doesn't spoil some of the more amazing scenes. Sure you know what happens in the end, but the ride to get there is an awesome experience. You should watch the movie 100%
Sub is better do to a more accurate translation compared to dub where they change the lines for a better flow but doesn't always work.
I like Katyusha's reactions with clara and co- I chalk it up to her getting caught up in the moment. The mortar SHOULDN'T count as a tank, in fact because you need to get outside in the open to load it, it breaks the fundamental rules of their nonsense safety modifications, people are apparently invulnerable as long as they are INSIDE a tank, but with the mortar they had to modify it to be self loading amongst other things. The guy refered to as Tank Hitler got it pushed through at the last minute as an exception to the rules via the loophole of said modifications allowing for safety. Which is BS and he just wanted to stack the deck for the college team by letting them be the first sensha do team with ARTILLERY.
If you are looking for more Ainme and history I recommend the channel Ainme Anarchy. He dose video on ships that have also been turned into Ainme girls but it mainly history
There's another video by Potential History on Das Finale (it's an ongoing 6-part film series that acts as a sequel to Der Film, pt 4 is releasing in Japan later this year) but I'll be honest, I haven't seen it (not until pt 6 releases so I can binge it all) yet so I'll probably skip your reaction to PH's video on it (sorry)
Drama with sacrificing "lives" for Katyusha was a one time joke I believe :)
*subs are superior. I can't imagine to watch movies without their orginal audio.
I am with you-however there are a few exceptions for me
For example NGNL, I don't know, it the original Japanese dub is just off for me.
Now we just have to wait for the Das Finale
series to finish. Which might take a few years.
If you kept coming back to it then is it really stupid?
i have watched thousands of subbed episodes
be real
Potential History did a video on girls und panzer das finale
Please tell me you're going to check this amazing, fun and totally self aware anime out. It's ridiculously fun.
Dub for GuP was crap, watch the Sub!
Please just watch the series already, season one has 12 episodes (compared to Demon Slayer's 26) and the movie is 2 hours long.
The series is still going, you can catch up quickly. I would like to watch your reaction to the series directly too!
The point is when you are watching a show you are suppose to actually watch the show instead of listening to it or br distracted that why dub is pointless.
Technically it should be “Girls Und Panzerkampfwagen” as the term “Panzer” doesn’t refer to German tanks specifically.
Well, there is many "nations" with their own tanks
It’s meant to be a reference to the many tanks in the show
Prior to the Great War and its introduction of Land Ironclads, “panzer” was a generalized term for armor.
Most "modern" anime are measured in cours or seasons, with 12 episodes each. Long ass anime like Naruto and Bleach just aren't realistic most of the time in terms of planning and making $$$. Unless you're only interested in long ass Shonen anime, you should be able to find more manageable ones.
Also, sub is superior.
Yeah dub is nice.
I mean not the english one.
It is like a cheao wish version of German dub.
I love german dub, cause it is freaking great!
>anime is long
yeah
uhh i did the calcs a while ago
a 12 episode season is 240 minutes which is about 4 hours....
a 23/24 episode season is around 8 hours of nothing but anime
and those are the more standard seasonal things
things like naruto, one piece and things like that... they uhhhh
yeah fuck that. i dont do animes that are more than 50 episodes per season
sure theres anime like demon slayer that are absoloutly long, naming a few, initial D, demon slayer, dr.stone, and those are the ones ive actually watched, with exception to initial D, which i havnt watched fully *can you blame me for being jarred to death over the change in animation* theres also rwby...... eeehhhhh kinda outa wack with that one now
anyways, point being: anime is long as shit.
Not usually
90% of anime only go for one 12 episode season
