Experiment 819
The crew watches "Invasion Of The Neptune Men" (1961). A discussion of Noh Theater sparks a joke.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha. You're costume is ridiculous."
The Noh theatre bit always gets me. Love it.
Hu's on first.
So you don’t like any theater at all?
The best not-actually-a-sequel to Prince of Space!
' Take us away little shorts!' 😂
First 10 to 15 minutes of the film is hilarious. Last half is tough as nails. I feel for Mike and the bots on this one. Thank goodness for Krankor.
I’ve had kind of a poop day, so I was happy to see a new upload from MST3K in my subscription feed.
“Space Chief failed miserably…..and tried to cover up his shame.”
Ha ha. I love that one.
25:26 - One of my favorite riffs of all time. Thank you, MST3K! lol
I always love "What times are it?"
THEY TOOK OUT THE HITLER BUILDING!!!!!
Tesla?
"Anyone seen my record?"
This type of movie was made for little kids, just like cartoons featuring dogs and cats. But us adults still get to enjoy them.
It’s always funny when in low budget movies half the kids sound like kids and the other half are poorly dubbed by adults
and at least one of the very clearly japanese kids has a brooklyn accent so thick you could cut it with a bandsaw
You guys n gals of MST3K do such an awesome job. This is my favorite way to watch these old movies.
Only two eps where this Krankor emoji really works. (lol) And only one time of year when these ones do: . Love these emojis, but probably not going to use them again for the nexten months when it’s Christmas.
1:16:40 The moment that you’re all here for.
You had me at the Eyelash Mite bayoneting the nanobot scene.
This episode may be nowhere as good as 'Final Sacrafice.' (What is?) But at least Canada got away and you can't blame us for this one. ;)
Bruce Le Bo'witz.🤣👌
Keep it up, MST3K! Riffing, riffing, riffing! We need this more than ever in 2025!
This is the best season, prove me wrong?
I can't. I can't prove you wrong. It's just so true.
This season had some real great content. Some of the silliest films, some of the best riffs, and some of the greatest skits. Prince of Space, Neptune Men, Horror on Party Beach, Space Mutiny, Jack Frost, The Leech Woman..the best of Pearl and her boys, the best of Mike and his bots...
Season 8 will always be peak MST3K for me.❤
This is one of my all time favorites. My dad recorded this episode from tv onto vhs tape more than 25 years ago
The break-dancing task chair hits the right nerve for some reason 😅
I love this movie is so bad that the monent Krankor shows up, he lights up their world and gives them hope, then right as he leaves, they miss him so much. I love Krankor
Amazing episode, love the Krankor sketch!!
Was there ever an explanation why Mike and Crow left the theater for a minute there?
The entire scene was just ships, ships shooting ships, more ships coming out of the mothership, repeat, and things blowing up every so often in poorly done cutaways or at times shots of real footage from World War II.
It basically almost broke them.
The fact that there is no oxygen outside the theater makes it even better.
"Children of the pot."
Viva Chiba!
Man, they _really_ tore into Japan with this one!
Hilarious classic 😂
Peak cinema was reached with Invasion of the Neptune Men and has been on a downward spiral after this masterpiece
Mr Pac man😂😂 I remember pong and pin ball machines😅😅😅
I LIKE IT VERY MUCH!
But nowhere near the
'PRINCE OF SPACE'
-'KRANKOR' FOR LIFE!
There is not one weapon we can win this war with but...
😂😂😂😂

C3PO should have made the Ewoks do the same thing.
Sushi cereal hahahahahaha😂😂😅
Mr Bill oh nooooo😅😅😅
This is too much😂😂😂😅😅😢😂
Anyone seen my record?
Seriously guys have you seen it?
What if anything does membership to this channel do?
Those sound effects 15:06
I was born in 1981. This movie is BLACK AND WHITE. It looks ancient! I mean, Gillian’s Island was black and white growing up. And the Three Stooges. But those were like from the 40s. Weird how as you get older and accumulate years, time gets put into perspective more. Everything we know of on film is under 100 years old. That isn’t very long.
I'm your age, and I've seen so many black and white TV shows and movies that I don't think anything of it. I've always enjoyed vintage programs. Probably because I grew up watching them on Nick at Nite. No wonder I connect with the old films on MST3K so well. Nosferatu is over 100 years old, and we're getting mighty close to a Marx Bros. movie crossing the 100 year mark. But we're still a ways away from Snow White hitting its 100 year anniversary. I imagine I won't live long enough to see a movie featured on MST3K reach its 100 year anniversary. Maybe those awful Undersea Kingdom shorts.
The first season of Gilligan's Island was in black and white, as were the first seasons of I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched, and the Wild, Wild West, Lost in Space, and the Man From UNCLE. The American networks went full color for Prime Time programming for the 1966 season (just after I was born).
As for film, the first motion picture theatre opened in 1896.
Georges Melies' film, "A Trip to the Moon" was released in 1902, so that film is 123 years old.
@ Rifftrax riffs "A Trip to the Moon." Since it's a short it doesn't cost much to download from their site.

I almost lost my hearing as a child. Sorry to all, who can't here one of the few things connecting RLM & MST3K.
How could you even describe the Wilhelm scream? It would allow me to appreciate Celine Dion more (She's the unofficial queen of Quebec. No Freddie, no, Queen, no Queens! Go fish! You Win some, you don't WANT ear Problems.
Cheers to the Deaf!
You deserve more credit
