i spent three full days trying to brainstorm a question to ask you but i forgot on like 11 pm on thursday and i was so worried it would be weird to ask a question one minute before the deadline technically was up so i said nothing until now, but i just came up with something if you read and reply to comments, who is your favorite and least favorite character in omori? also can be just any passerby, i'm interested to know what people think now that i think about it
My favorite character is Sunny but that's cheating. I like them all equally, but I think Kel would have a 2% lead. I like how he's dumb and hopeful, but there's a competency to him (real world Kel, anyway).
a good friend of mine is a radio DJ and professional voice actor, and she offers people these tips: 1) GO TO SCHOOL for acting. voice acting is acting. it isn't just having a cool voice. people need training, guidance, critique, and practice in acting if they even want to stand a chance. 2) be versatile. most professional voice actors can do anywhere from 5-20 voices or characters. good examples: Dan Castelleneta (Homer Simpson and many other Simpsons voices), Billy West (Futurama, Doug, and a lot more), or Maurice La Marche (he's in like EVERYTHING). the more you can modify your voice, the more attractive you are to potential employers. many show credits have actors doing a character, than "other voices" too. for instance, Lauren Tom on King of the Hill voices Connie, Minh, and also "other voices" as needed. Tara Strong (Bubbles on PowerPuff Girls, and about 1000 other shows) can do something like 50 varied voices. she also had the bright idea of getting a massive boob job and showing them all over twitter, so that was a pretty good PR plan too, heh. when you put together your reel, you need to feature different voices. so you'd be like: "This is my normal speaking voice. Hello, my name is Joe Smith, and I'm from Toronto, Canada." "Eek! Where are they going, Mr. Whiskers??" (cartoon voice) "Not so fast, mortals! You cannot escape!" (villain voice) the more versatility you have, the more work they can get out of you--and the more $$ you'll make. 3) be prepared, because voice acting is HARD. it isn't like having a casual conversation. you need to do 10, 20, sometimes up to 50 takes to get a scene or a line just right. that's rough on your throat and your patience, especially if you're manipulating your throat, making it sound deep or throaty, or if you're doing it high-pitched. be aware that voice acting isn't like being a movie star. you don't get paid like a million bucks per job. it's why all these voice actors do about 10-20 projects PER YEAR. you gotta keep the money flowing, because your commercial/show/etc only runs for so long, and then the money ends too. my friend has been doing voice acting about 10 years now, and she gets paid strictly union wages. she does probably 7-8 jobs per year, including commercials and a couple shows you might have heard of, and she still needs to keep her day job as a radio DJ....and she doesn't live in LA or NYC, she lives near Atlantic City in Jersey. 4) knowing people in the industry, and getting other acting roles, will help a lot. my friend is acquainted with Stephanie Courtney ("Flo" from the Progressive Insurance commercials), and Stephanie once told her that people always think she just "walked into" that running role as Flo. they don't realize she was acting since the mid-1990s, had been in movies and TV shows, and had about 35 acting credits before getting accepted into that part. pursue your passions, just be realistic about how much work goes into it, and remember very few people make a career of it, because it doesn't pay that well until you're a huge name....which takes many years, if ever.

Finally this is extremely unlikely… but I want a collaboration with the SCP foundation, imagine the possibilities, Dr Jack Bright as a survivor and SCP 096 as a killer would be great
