@Pashankie They had to lower it so she wouldn't just pocket tanks. She's honestly really good at healing everyone but tanks and a skilled mercy is nearly impossible to kill. She's still a game changer but I find that most people don't know how to move around with her and have poor decision making when it comes to who to heal and who to rez. A mercy main above diamond rank tend to be infuriating to deal with and a boon as an ally. Below that, however, especially below diamond, a good mercy is hard to find. I will also add that they didn't want to keep just a single healer being able to heal a tank like the old days, they wanted to find ways to have both supports work with each other in keeping a team alive. When playing Mercy, your healing focus should be to pocket dps and protect your other support. Pocketing a tank should only be done when necessary or when being supported by another support.

Agreed. Hell I'd honestly put Mercy in with the off healers since your main focus should be damage boost, not making sure everyone is topped off in hp. Yeah with her changes she's good at helping people not die with the under 50% thing, but even still damage boost go brrr. Honestly if they want to get rid of counters that’s fine but they will have to do something like Siege or other games where you will have a ban phase. Whole lobby votes together to remove one from each role or some shit idk. As the number of characters increases it will become a necessity
@@xornedge8204 I get flamed in chat every game by the enemy supports. I can very much see Tracer and Genji being banned a lot. That aside, I would LOVE to ban Widow in every single game. 7:39 everything your saying is wrong. Mercy is behind kiriko on healing output, she’s good for her utility(damage boost mainly and also Rez)and her movement/survivability. Mercy’s value depends on the meta dps, she’s good right now because she enables sojourn to one shot. You can also have two supports from the right side of the line but it’s harder to use effectively. For example brig zen was the meta support duo for the last 6 months to 1 year of ow1 because discord orb helps ball and dva get quick kills and brig just protects the zen. The team relied on health packs for healing.

Love the video. Found the DPS spite towards Support hilarious. I respect being hated for keeping the team alive and I further respect you trying to kill supports instantly because otherwise people wouldn’t fucking die lmao. Also I would say the support passive gives them more responsibility but towards the team. With one less tank- the team needs heals more often so saving your cooldown for your team and making sure you survive on your own is like budgeting to make sure you can feed your children so they can keep you alive when you’re old and useless . Awesome vid. Pretty fun to watch.
I'll say this for double utility supports. I'm horrible at this game. But I'm really good at pulling off the dumbest last minute plays as Lucio. Overtime timer was about to pop, the payload was within spitting distance of the goal, our team was recovering from a wipe, and the only people available to try and save the game where me and the Zen. Neither of us were aware of the other's ultimate status, but mine was charged, and theirs was almost charged, but wouldn't be ready to pop before the overtime ended. So i made a mad dash and ulted halfway to the payload. I made it to the payload and survived a few seconds before getting turned to Swiss cheese. Overwatch timer starts moving again. The rest of the team has just respawned. They shouldn't be able to make it in time. But the Zen got caught in my ult. I bought enough time for their ult to pop, and they just wouldn't die. The enemy was so focused on the Zen that we managed to wipe them and win the match. Again, I'm horrible at this game. But the people I was playing with admitted to me and the Zen that we wouldn't have been able to win without that ridiculous final push that only worked because of our specific characters. So yeah, it might be better to have two strong healers. But two utility characters can do a lot when the chips are down.
I think Overwatch has the issue of live service games having no real PR. I mean Public Relations as opposed to just marketing and updates. When people start forgetting that there are real people working on the game, things get sour really quick. And similarly to most creative endeavors, it's difficult to be passionate about working on someone else's baby if they aren't passionate themselves.
@@breadaholic6445 After the changes, if the person is below 50% health, she heals for 67.5/hps. To give you an Idea, Ana can miss 30% of her shots and never use her grenade, and would do about the same amount.
Gameplay is still great, 5vs5 is a nice change. I mained support until I finished the BP and didn't want to play ever again. They would either make use of it by working together and winning, or just completely ignoring it and losing us the game. It just wasn't rewarding whatsoever.

4:50 No, because Genji and Rein mains and people who enjoyed seeing them nanoblade and shatter for the 3589012751738th time disliked Sombra's gameplay that interfered with theirs so, all together, they just throw a massive fit till they can back to their insanity of watching the same clip of either a 5k blade or shatter.
Pretty small note on a subject not even really important to the video.. but here's how I see the DPS "subclasses" -Classic FPS -solider 76, Cassidy, Sojourn, Ashe I call it that because there kits mirror big FPS titles... primary hit scan or feels exactly like hit scan , a small burst mobility move or one that isn't over powerful and some sort of grenade or for 1 case a Utility ability -Flankers- Reaper , Genni, Sombra , Tracer have abilities that let them get to there flank positions and / or safely escape if in trouble most also have good short range burst attacks -Long Range - Pharoah, Echo , Hanno, Widowmaker pretty simple have long range primary and uses verticality to get good angles and stay away from enemies those that don't have great verticality have mid range abilities to compensate and those that do have less options or next to none at all. -Utility- Symmetra, Tourborn, Bastion, Junkrat basically use some sort utility weapon or trap that they depend on and has separate health and does damage or assist player and teammates in some way And should be a tank - Mei barrier ability... self healing... low range main attack.. just saying Obviously some of these don't fit as.well as.others as more and more come they will make more and more heroes that are half one and half another or 1/3 of 3 different things which is good imo as it would get boring sticking to a stiff playstyle for heroes
Honestly, while I disagree with most of this video it was well made and I believe it got how you and a decent amount of people feel about the direction of the franchise out there. Personally besides heros being locked in the battle pass (level 45) for the first season they're out, I enjoy most of the changes. I'm just glad a game I've played over 3000 hours of is actually getting new characters and content added again. If this means paying for a battle pass or the occasional skin in the shop I like then that's cool (not ideal as a consumer, but what can yah do).
I mean - are we still basically boycotting the store until they make a skin reasonable priced or...? Cause I am still doing it (even tho that hanzo valentine skin was tempting)

With one less tank- the team needs heals more often so saving your cooldown for your team and making sure you survive on your own is like budgeting to make sure you can feed your children so they can keep you alive when you’re old and useless . Awesome vid. Pretty fun to watch.
Your art looks like smash ultimate stock icons and I love it
I'll say this for double utility supports.
"The Washington Cassidy" I did not expect an NFL joke in my OW2 video but holy shit that got me.
The midtown theme really SLAPS ngl, my fav one out of all of the themes tbh
that horn gif put a smile on my face
@@vvm583 agreed
I think Overwatch has the issue of live service games having no real PR. I mean Public Relations as opposed to just marketing and updates. When people start forgetting that there are real people working on the game, things get sour really quick. And similarly to most creative endeavors, it's difficult to be passionate about working on someone else's baby if they aren't passionate themselves.
One of the smartest on the fly things I've done in this game was using orisa's ult to suck the enemy team back into hanzos ult.
Actually, Mercy should be where Kiriko is. She has the lowest healing of anyone that side of the line.
well after the changes she's kinda crazy, not the most healing like he said, but it's up there
@@breadaholic6445 After the changes, if the person is below 50% health, she heals for 67.5/hps. To give you an Idea, Ana can miss 30% of her shots and never use her grenade, and would do about the same amount.
I involuntarily pogged at my screen when you made a kinopunch reference good stuff g
fire punch jumpscare warnign next up! i cant cant have worlds strongest whiplash while eating ramen
Gameplay is still great, 5vs5 is a nice change. I mained support until I finished the BP and didn't want to play ever again. The weight on your shoulders as a support asked so much of me, positioning, priorities, awareness to absolutely everything, dueling to keep my ass alive against flankers, or fuck me even tanks, all this shit for so little reward because my effort was just a token that others would decide what they would do with it. They would either make use of it by working together and winning, or just completely ignoring it and losing us the game. It just wasn't rewarding whatsoever.
The fire punch reference is highly appreciated
The comparison of tank heroes to Agni is so accurate it hurts lol
The ball slander when he’s top tier right now is crazy
but not getting played as much cause hes got a bigger learning curve
@@DemonRules hes literally in every masters+ game right now
Wouldnt top tier be ball getting played in majority of ranks? Not just masters? And I thought Sigma was at top? Pretty sure I heard someone say it was rein then sigma at higher ranks
@@DemonRules reinhardt is bad in high ranks, sigma is also rlly good but ball is so unkillable rn that hes the top tank.
mercy has one of the worst healing outputs lol
9:58 kiriko heals with the suzu
Not only original skins, but original models too
Mercy’s healing isn’t why you play mercy
When he said mercy had better healing than brig I died inside
When I played Overwatch 1 I loved to play Reinhart, Lucio, Tracer, and Hanzo. I blocked so many alts as Reinhart and Lucio.
people who don't understand overwatch explaining overwatch makes me laugh everytime.
Saying mercy has the strongest healing output is a fascinating take

Didn't expect a fire punch reference.
I loved junker queen on launch. Was my best tank out the gate because of how much I played her. Never begged for buffs, appreciated the flowers so to speak. When she got those buffs though....😁
Hell ya I have been waiting for this!!!
" u didn't do anything why u tbagging"
"The Washington Cassidy" lmao you got me with that one
Guy states that he's been studying overwatch for months. And says ball isn't an good option as tank 😂😂
It’s really not. His skill ceiling makes him an iffy choice. The hard part is as ball you think you’re doing so much in the back lines while your team is getting dunked on
Anyone who knows a couple ball techs can easily make things happen. Especially with his HP being so inflated, he's a very reliable pick.
I would gladly sacrifice a second dps for 2 tanks again
Did you play against two shield tanks..?
also playing as something like 3 tanks and 2 healers is not fun at all, not in your own team, not playing against
I can’t wait for Jerk guide to Skull merchant in 5 days :)
Mercy is a mobility healer she has low healing output high utility with ga and res
Rowby always makes my day better!❤
The gameplay footage was wonderfully presented in Microsoft PowerPoint. Nice video!
Honestly your takes are hot. Haven’t finished the vid but had to stop at calling the game MORE competitive than OW1. Definitely would have to disagree lmao.
Edit: Mercy does NOT have the most healing output 😭
Am i the only one that actually liked testing ground sym where she was a support instead and her turrets would heal not dmg
I feel like the main issue is that it takes too long to kill people with regular characters, but then characters that 1 shot can change a fight with a lucky hit
I don't know why I'm watching this as if I haven't played this game since the beta of Overwatch 1. But it's great.
The only thing this has over tf2 is the fact I can run it without horrible frames every second
I need a disco Elysium video now. You can't tease me like this Rowby!
8:22 no ? She has the second lowest heal in the game after Lucio ffs her main interest is dmg boost
Thanks man for giving me a little joy today
mutation is a good way to describe this painful game
Bruh brig zen is one of the best support combos in the game
The only thing i want blizzard to change is to revert doomfist back to dps and give his uppercut back
As a Symm main, i miss her 1.0 kit...
I miss OW1
Maybe Blizz will allow past version arcade game modes
4:50
No, because Genji and Rein mains and people who enjoyed seeing them nanoblade and shatter for the 3589012751738th time disliked Sombra's gameplay that interfered with theirs so, all together, they just throw a massive fit till they can back to their insanity of watching the same clip of either a 5k blade or shatter.
0:35 and that games name is tf2
That ncr bit is so fucking true
Pretty small note on a subject not even really important to the video.. but here's how I see the DPS "subclasses"
-Classic FPS -solider 76, Cassidy, Sojourn, Ashe
I call it that because there kits mirror big FPS titles... primary hit scan or feels exactly like hit scan , a small burst mobility move or one that isn't over powerful and some sort of grenade or for 1 case a Utility ability
-Flankers- Reaper , Genni, Sombra , Tracer have abilities that let them get to there flank positions and / or safely escape if in trouble most also have good short range burst attacks
-Long Range - Pharoah, Echo , Hanno, Widowmaker pretty simple have long range primary and uses verticality to get good angles and stay away from enemies those that don't have great verticality have mid range abilities to compensate and those that do have less options or next to none at all.
-Utility- Symmetra, Tourborn, Bastion, Junkrat basically use some sort utility weapon or trap that they depend on and has separate health and does damage or assist player and teammates in some way
And should be a tank - Mei barrier ability... self healing... low range main attack.. just saying
Obviously some of these don't fit as.well as.others as more and more come they will make more and more heroes that are half one and half another or 1/3 of 3 different things which is good imo as it would get boring sticking to a stiff playstyle for heroes
It's very difficult to take points from this video seriously when there is so much information that is blatantly incorrect.
A casuals guide to overwatch 2
As a ball player, I feel offended.
The whole purpose of rippers ult is to get play of the game in one click
"ripper" lmao
From pharah to fairground
OW2 feels.. empty... soulless. Like it has been sterilized. It's this weird, underlying feeling that I can't QUITE grasp, but it's always there.
Literally my only complaint for this game is the removal of lootboxes.
The Stanley Parable… 2!
Bro I miss early overwatch 1
..... the nurse will see you now.....
He made the wreking ball joke a little 2 ealry
I mean - are we still basically boycotting the store until they make a skin reasonable priced or...? Cause I am still doing it (even tho that hanzo valentine skin was tempting)
