The groups that you guys don't know are not all new gen. You guys have barely touched the surface of K-pop groups that there are. There's a lot more that y'all don't know about and many that are popular and iconic outside of RUclips views. Just keep that in mind.
Also, I know it can be hard to remember but the songs and artists in the video are not the only ones at the entertainment and for the most part, they do not represent the label. The quality of a song shouldn't be judged based on two seconds of listening.

Did they disrespect Astro in any way tho??? Just because you enjoy their music, doesn’t mean that this has to apply to everyone. It’s kind of getting annoying that kpop Stan’s still have this mentality of that reactors should enjoy everything that they see.
Im glad they’re honest, K-pop channels nowadays are too afraid of it because of comments like some of these on the video
Things to keep in mind for these types of videos that rank view counts:
- RUclips was not always the main medium for KPop. These videos are extremely biased to newer groups as the Internet becomes more and more prevalent in the music industry. The old kpop songs with just a couple million views were HUGE deals back in the day when KPop was still just getting thousands of views.
- The view counts listed are cumulative, meaning they don't show their impact of the time they were released. For example, BTS's first song is almost 300M today even though it was kinda a flop when it actually came out. So these numbers mean practically nothing when it comes to figuring out what was actually influential at that time.
- Many older KPop songs have since been reuploaded officially once it became clear that RUclips was becoming the main KPop distributor, so it's best to just ignore the views of these MVs entirely.
- All in all, these videos are fun to look at for shits and giggles, but no one should actually be taking them seriously when it comes to figuring out how popular or influential a group is in the grand scheme of the industry.

You know damn well bts came from the bottom, no big3 no huge agency, had 5 dollars and a dream plus barely had a fanbase back when they debuted in 2013 so saying its a flop is very unnecessary given their circumstances........

@@user-vv7hc7kb5o Just like other groups that came from nothing, their songs were flops too and now that they’re getting the recognizability that they deserve these songs that didn’t do well back then are now with millions of views. We can’t take away the fact that these particular songs were flops before.

Just because you guys don’t know them doesn’t mean they’re new groups or that the groups are old lol ,there’s like 200+ kpop groups out there and not all of them are goanna be popular enough to be relevant.Also kpop has generations and strangely enough this isn’t baste on when the years of the groups are active it’s baste on a change in the sound or theme of music itself.With that being said We’re technically in the 5th gen of Kpop. I would love for you guys to react to some more 5th gen groups,they’re starting off with a great start.

HYUNA, She's really one of the best female in KPOP, until now, she's still on my top 10 list.. ICONIC FEMALE IDOL.. She debuted 5 times, with wonder girls, 4minute, solo, in a duo (trouble make) and in a trio triple H. ICON++

SM literally started K-pop, it is called the blueprint of Kpop, it goes way back haha
P-Nation was made by Psy! Originally, it had artists who came from other labels for their "2nd chance". Like Psy (originally YG),Hyuna (was briefly in Wonder Girls under JYP- then a massively successful soloist under Cube.), Dawn (was originally in Pentagon under Cube. Was also dating HyunA, Jessi (already popular rapper, had been under multiple labels before. And Crush (krnb artist who was already popular before.) Although oddly enough, HyunA, Dawn, and Jessi have all left P-nation. Hwasa (from Mamamoo- under RBW) has signed with P-Nation though! To my knowledge, P-nation hasn't debuted a single artist.

7:02 Hybe acquired pledis pretty recently along with a bunch of other smaller companies. Hybe was Bighit (Bighit is now a subsidiary under Hybe that only manages a few groups). Hybe started buying up/acquiring a lot of smaller companies a few years ago and making them subsidiaries of their label. They also started creating subsidies too. Like for example, Adore, which manages New Jeans.
I understand yall have different music taste especially the one on the far left but please be more mindful of how you word stuff. Just because you don’t like a certain song or artist doesn’t give you the right to completely trash talk the group. If you don’t like seeing other groups that “sound the same” then stick to watching new gen stuff. You’d be doing us a favor if I’m being fairly honest.
The overpolicing of reactions is just ridiculous, this actually shows authenticity. It's like 95% of kpop fans want everything sugarcoated, then you have reactors feeling like they're walking on eggshells to the point where they're just faking reactions for audience approval. I'd rather someone say what they're thinking rather than wording it differently for audience approval, if you think it's trash say it's trash.

For me, art goes much further.... What's sad, however, is the low visibility, unfortunately, many artists can't even get into any type of rank and with that it's harder to be known, so I'm happy for the groups here... .. How happy to see Vixx, one of the kings of the concept, (I'll highlight the chokers and of course the wonderful costume in Shangri-la , The end of the year performance they did was history for me, it gave me goosebumps, it was beautiful)
Ps: I'm happy that I know 90% of the groups.
Yh, vixx were crazy popular in the charts of sk back then. But they're now so underrated as these videos don't capture them. Always high quality in music and mvs and ofc the concepts. Even their late comeback is amazing

You might notice some groups under a different company name, that's because this companies merged to become "HYBE LABEL ". You can read about it.
They didn't exactly merge. Its more like Hybe (used to be Bighit. Now Bighit is a subsidiary under Hybe) bought up stocks/ acquired a bunch of smaller labels. Like Pledis (company of Afterschool and Seventeen) and KOZ (label established by Zico)

Thry didn't merge lol hybe, formerly bighit, bought them up and r now major shareholders in those companies and they operate under the hybe corp umbrella

This is why it is not recommended for NEW K-Pop fans to watch videos such as these. It's just a compilation of a bunch of groups that you have no clue about, and you'll be lost the entire time.

The disrespect with ASTRO.. they are have such a good discography, ASTRO have a LOT of respect in the industry of kpop, they are so iconics and popular, the guy in black hoodie saying the songs sound the same, bro u are not a producer or something to say anything, if u dont like the group for a reason(??) just dont make negative comments, i have seeing a lot of your videos, and i never saw any of you saying negative comments like in this video, idk what is the reason but ok, i lose a lot of my respect for this channel.

a group doesn’t represent a label..most of these agencies have more groups under them but they don’t gain as much views and attention, you guys are obviously new to kpop and that’s totally okay. Just know that most of these groups have b-sides that you’ll probably like, you just don’t know about them yet. And put some respect on Astro 😭 they’re a talented a group and have worked really hard to get where they are now.
You guys have only seen 5% of kpop so not surprised you don't even know some of the most highly respected and loved artist but I don't blame you guys as its not easy being so new as well I mean im in my 6th year rn so ive been able to dive deeper just keep that in mind. Love the videos hope you guys get to see more and start learning new agencies as there are so many lol

IZ*ONE is iconic and they were wildly popular at the time but since it is a temporary group you don't hear about them anymore, groups like IVE and LE SSERAFIM have past members of this group and the others are doing solo and acting or back in their old groups

chuckled a little when y’all said izone is new gen. most of the groups under wakeone have already disbanded due to them being temporary: WannaOne disbanded in 2019, X1 disbanded in 2020, Izone disbanded in 2021, kepler will disband in 2024 and ZB1 will disband in 2026.

They don't have to like their music though. Do you know how many time I've said I don't like Britney Spears music and that to me personally she sounds like Minnie Mouse on helium? I mean, music is art and art is subjective. It's not stated anywhere that people have to respect art that is not to their liking and that's their prerogative just like everybody else has the right to critique art. Some of y'all need to quit taking things so personally and seriously on these groups behalf. Now maybe with Astro people are a bit sensitive since the loss of Moonbin is still fresh but understand the dislike of the music is not against him. It's just about the music and not everybody is going to have nice things to say about something we like... that's just life and everybody needs to accept that.

@melissadixon1419 Yeah but I've said the same thing. Like I clicked on IVE's new song the other day and listened to 7 seconds and I know they're not a gg I want to check out. Usually a person needs to be drawn in and become interested or else they're less likely to want to even bother to dive in deeper. I guess their music didn't make them curious enough to see what else they have and that's okay. Their opinion doesn't invalidate the opinions of those who enjoy Astro's music so they're not obligated to check out anything they're not drawn to. That said, maybe one day they will decide to give them a second listen because it's possible the songs they heard weren't their vibe like "Wolf" by EXO wasn't their jam lmao

At first I thought the tone you used about some groups was wrong, but after reading other comments, I understood that everyone has the right to like or dislike an artist.
seventeen are technically not a hybe group they are still under pledis entertainment. hybe labels bought stocks to a lot of companies and became the largest shareholder’s but they are still managed by their og labels like seventeen with pledis. it’s a whole thing that’s kinda confusing you should read up on it !

Some people here should just take into account that, people certainly have different tastes and no one is forced to like,know or even care if they don't want to, it's normal ! What people also should have these days and it's very lacking, it's just the sense that not liking something is different from being unnecessary.......Even though I'm not a fan of all the groups, some of the comments for me was just very off like honest so uncalled for but.... And some of those companies were small companies that were building themselves up to be a great company. They dont tell you a lot of these groups paid for ads thats why they have so many views especially the ones that came when kpop became known. They need to start adding a note that says with ads. They can keep their 1st and 2nd place but it needs to be said especially since there are groups here who used no ads and still have a lot of views. The ad usage is inflating kpop's popularity and fooling the masses into thinking some of these groups are as popular as we think
oh bts doesnt use ads and most hybe groups except for like 2 sometimes.
I suggest that you guys should watch more Kpop of different generations and new groups before doing anymore of these types of videos. Most of these groups was the biggest out there and was the real kings and queens before Bts BLACKPINK Twice etc. I think you guys should do a deep dive of older artists etc.

Love this kind of reaction, especially because new people can learn more about kpop and stuff when watching those "top 100 etc" videos. Don't bother with the fans getting mad at you just because of little things like the astro talk, people can understand what you mean when you guys said your stuff. I would recommend a dive into groups out of top 4 (YG, SM, JYP and HYBE) just because theres a lot of good music out there and maybe you guys can find some good ones too
Izone are the 4th gen leader…they already disbanded because they were only temporary group. They are literal legend. They broke records left and right when they were active. If they are still active they will still be top in 4th gen , cause there are so many talented members in the group , very synchronized, super down to earth and very funny.
ps: There are so many legendary groups, none of them are nugu, they are popular popular before new gens group have even form , especially in Korea, ofc it’s kpop , it’s meant to be popular in Korea.
