This band should be way bigger and hyped more. Colton is such a great vocalist and the songs have a message and that's what resonates the most with me when it comes to enjoying a bands music. They're way better than most bands on bigger labels. Hopefully the scene takes more notice of these guys.

I never thought panic attacks were real. Until I thought I was having a heart attack. I called 911 and waited while watching my pulse got thru the roof. Got in the ambulance and my EKG went from bad to fine in a few minutes. The paramedic asked me if the pain started in my chest if my mouth tasted like battery acid (along with a few other things). She was dead on. She said she thought I may have had a panic attack but to get checked out. I didn't go to hospital that night, cuz i felt fine 15 minutes later, but I went to the ER the next day to get checked out just in case. All tests came back negative for any heart problems. About a week later, the same thing happened again and I just kept telling myself "Your body and your mind are lying to you and the fear you feel can only hurt you if you believe what your body is telling you." . "You are not having a heart attack and in a few minutes this will pass." . It subsided and after a few minutes i was fine. I know it's all bullshit and nothings truly wrong but mentally and physically it was so fucking taxing. I felt like I'd been in a fight and was tired as hell. Over the next few weeks it happened a few more times and really started to piss me off. People were telling me I needed to go to the doctor and get some Xanax or Valium but I hate that shit. Benzos are the fucking Devil and just another road leading to even more stress. Then one night I started to have one while something important was happening and I had had enough. I literally felt I was in a war with my own mind and goddammit "I'm not going out like that". I treated the panic attack like I would treat somebody that was breaking into my house trying to take me hostage cuz that's what it felt like. "Get the fuck out. Your'e a grimy lying piece of shit and your'e not coming in.".From that point on, I did whatever I had to do to make it go away the absolute second I felt it coming on. If my chest hurt like I was having a heart attack, I would work out and make my chest muscles burn so my mind had less of a chance of convincing me that the pain could only be a heart attack. Shit like that. Now about once or twice every few weeks I'll feel one coming on. I don't even let it make it to the door. I just had to truly convince myself of the truth. An anxiety attack is your mind and body telling you to be afraid of something that's not there. It achieves this by creating doubt. Doubt that everything is going to be alright. It's like someone telling you they're going to shoot you but they don't really have a gun. The gun you feel poking in your back is really a stick but you cant see it so you really don't know. You just have to realize that "The first time, it was a stick and every time since then, it was a stick. There is no gun. I'm not in danger." I know this may sound crazy to people who have never gone through anxiety attacks or panic attacks but anyone who's ever been there will understand. I don't know if this will help anyone going through the hell of panic attacks but it truly did work for me.
